  1. Now I can understand why they stopped racing F1 around the full track! Pete
  2. Same here, too many ad breaks. American sports tend to built around short bursts of action and long breaks for adverts. It's just what Americans are used to and is the main reason why football/rugby/cricket will never really catch on in The States, they just don't have the attention span. American football is actually quite entertaining, it's a real family day out and crowds are truly gigantic but I don't see it ever catching on here in its current format. Pete
  3. Heading towards Chester in the early afternoon a Silver 350Z roadster, no other details. Pete
  4. Find a disused runway. Get yourself a rolling wheel, the sort that surveyors use. Measure out 1/4 of a mile. Do half a dozen runs and time them, then average them out. 0-100 is meaningless as speedo's just aren't accurate enough, standing 1/4 mile can be measured fairly accurately and most magazines will run that test as standard, so it's easy to compare cars. Pete
  5. Good side, one of the better teams to come up in the last 5 seasons IMHO. Pete

Some Zed's use the Xanavi X7 disk. If you already have a disk, remove it and check if it's X6 or X7, the disks are not interchangeable. Pete
  7. We get loads more automated calls here than in the UK, but they always show the city of origin on the phone or we get a pop up who is calling on the TV Its a good job we only know 6 people here, dont need to bother answering calls form Ontario, Seattle, Florida, NY . . . . the list goes on I've traced some of our calls to Peru and Australia . There's a site called "Who Called Me" that you can lookup numbers on. Pete
  8. Chris, Someone on here put me onto a little device called "Call Blocker" somewhere around £50 I think. I was getting bombarded with calls from PPI, Windows Help, Charities, Accident Claims plus a load from home improvement companies. I was seriously considering changing my number and going Ex directory to stop these parasites from badgering me. Since I've had phone blocker it's been so peaceful...the phone will ring just once and the caller will hear a short message , as most calls are automated they just get cut off after the one ring. A genuine caller will be asked to press a number to get through....brilliant, problem solved . Pete
  9. Have a word with Graham (glrnet) he'll know the latest situation with regards to rooms. Pete
  10. Americans have little experience at changing gear. There was some American street racing film on last night (fast and furious??) and the gear changes were abysmal really, I'm presuming they had pro's driving the cars? Pete
  11. It's right on the border so no problem Yes, I think The Moreton is actually in England. The border is about 600 yards away . When I was 18 or so we used to go to a pub just down the road from The Moreton because it was open on a Sunday in the days when Wales was "dry". Pete
  12. Just a quick question to anyone who's recently fitted one. How many boot mats do you have? mine has a thinnish, I guess standard, boot mat with a 350Z embroidered mat on top of it, is this normal? Tonneau fits O'K but doesn't seem to sit as well as in some of the photos I've seen. Pete
  13. +1. When you're communicating from your workplace (which Hugh was) then it's actually the correct thing to do. Pete
  14. O.K, mine didn't screw into the slats. Behind the slats there's a rectangular piece of white plastic, that's where the screws gripped. I've no idea what its there for but it's thick enough to hold the weight of the Zunsport. I'll get some photo's of the fixing up tomorrow. Pete
  15. Yes, the paint code for GM is WV2 but Colin states that there are 2 shades....see here. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/64641-see-what-you-mean-about-the-paint/page__hl__+paint%20+codes#entry957815 Pete
  16. Bumper will fit O.K, but not too sure about the paint code. Read here quite recently that there are 2 shades of GM. Pete
  17. Welcome . Must have been registered in the first 2 weeks of March 2006...good find. Pete
  18. For some reason the old VW Beetle has obtained cult status. Never driven one, but had a lift in a couple, including one with a 2.0 porker engine and they have to be the most uncomfortable car ever made. Pete
  19. Car looks O.K, but 6.5k for an 03 import is a bit steep IMHO. Pete
  20. Even though there's a picture of one. Pete
  21. 52 Messages in my Spam box today (so far), usual rubbish, payday loans, PPI claims, Injury claims, Nigerian Scam, etc. About 20 messages got through my spam filter as well of which 18 are spam. Just hardened up to it now. At least the half a dozen unsolicited phone calls I was getting every day have stopped since I fitted a call blocker. Pete
