  1. Front spoiler is awful, the rest of it is typical USA. Pete
  2. They all have speed sensitive steering but from 2006 onwards it was changed from engine sensitive steering to vehicle sensitive steering. Pete
  3. I think there are some very minor differences . The 313's have an illuminated ignition barrel and our roadster has what looks like a permanently illuminated pilot light inside the interior light. From my experiences of driving both I'd say that the 313 has a lighter clutch pedal and is considerably lighter to steer. Pete
  4. Best thing about the facelift interior is the repositioning of the heated seat and hazard warning light switches. The illuminated steering wheel controls are well worth having too. Pete
  5. Good summary . I'll add to that the Z4 has a much better hood operation and the hoods themselves seem more durable (one of the weak points of The 350 roadster IMHO).I also miss the parking sensors, auto wipers and auto lights that our Z4 had. Bad points on the Z4 include excessive corrosion of the alloy wheels and a ridiculously complicated seat adjustment mechanism (which failed twice). Used to take me 3 or 4 minutes fiddling around with it after Caroline had driven it and even after that I'd make 3 or 4 further adjustments in the first 10 miles. Pete
  6. Most of the 300 engine problems I've read about are in The States where 98RON fuel can be hard to find, in Colorado and California for example my understanding is that there isn't any, and there seems little doubt that extended running on 95RON or lower can lead to serious engine malfunctions. If I was in the market for a Zed my first choice would be a 313 but if the right 300 came along........... Pete
  7. Yeah, got the top down today on our visit to the Zoo . Pet
  8. There were a lot less 313's sold than the earlier models, they came out just as the economy took a nose dive. Not sure you'll get much extra power out of an earlier Zed, 10-15 BHP unless of course you go down the forced induction route. What Dave is saying is true, the pre facelift models were in fact some 70kgs lighter so the power to weight ratio is pretty similar. Pete
  9. Wouldn't bother me at all, but I'd be interested to know the opinions of those who survived 9/11. Pete
  10. Really ??? I have never had a problem with my 25mm fronts spacers at all no rubbing either :/ thats why i was thinking maybe go 30mm ones lol :/ Well, it's possible that I've not calculated it correctly as my wheels are 20". This'll give you an idea of the setup and the stance. Pete
  11. Anything registered before mid March 2006 is in the lower tax bracket. Power on earlier ones in BHP are pre facelift 276, Facelift 296 and 309 the 313ps models. Nothing wrong with the earlier models but 313's are the ones to go for. Pete
  12. I had the 42" version of this and got £150 for it so £100 sounds like a good deal as these are excellent TV's. Pete
  13. 30mm's on the front will ground on the arch fairly often I would have thought. I worked out that my old wheels had the equivalent of 23mm's and that would catch once or twice a month (and about 20 times on the Wales meet ) Pete
  14. I have just 2 watches, a Tissot that my dad brought back from Singapore in 1968 and a Guess that I bought from Duty Free in Denver 2001. Both cost around £100 but I guess the Tissot might be worth a fair bit now . Pete
  15. Finally, got some sideskirts fitted, these are Carbon 3D ones supplied by Tarmac. The light was fading by the time I got in but managed to get a quick pic . Pete
  16. Can't pronounce that, just looks like a random sequence of letters to me . Of course, having lived in Wales for so long I'm pretty keyed up on Welsh place names pronunciations and am forever pulling up people who don't pronounce them correctly . Pete
  17. Stunning Zed, a credit to its owner . Pete
  18. There are 2 explanations. As Ekona has said there are quite often no Welsh equivalent words and the Welsh (unlike The French) seem quite happy to express things in English. Welsh isn't a dynamic ever changing language like English as apart from a small Welsh speaking population in Patagonia there aren't any outside influences. The other explanation is that what is known as "code switching" is fairly common in Wales especially among younger people. I recently travelled to Cardiff on a train that originated in North West Wales a Welsh speaking stronghold and some of the youngsters were speaking whole sentences in English before lapsing back into Welsh......really weird. Pete
  19. Despite having lived in Wales for the vast majority of my life I don't speak any Welsh and neither does Caroline. Most of the population around here speak English only, you have to travel to the smaller villages to the South of Mold before you hear any Welsh. In Flintshire where I live, Polish speakers outnumber Welsh speakers about 20 to one . However, I know that ChrisS's son Liam speaks fluent Welsh and new member jonny the mod who will be popping down with me on Friday afternoon has some Welsh. Pete
  20. Welcome . Not that many of the earlier cars say up to 2006 have Sat Nav. It's much easier to find an 07 onwards with them though. Pete
  21. Yeah, the very similar word "baggs" was used around here too and in Cheshire/Merseyside. Pete
  22. Rules below. http://www.number-plates-car-registrations.co.uk/number_plate_dimensions.html Pete
