Correct, if your car is SORN'ed and you tax it on the 31st May you are basically taxing it from the 1st of May as the law only allows you to tax your car in advance if your tax is to continue concurrently. Pete

Yes, the garage that fixed it for me couldn't get hold of a Turbo Technics either new or reconditioned so after a month we had to bite the bullet and go to Toyota. The garage kept it for a further two weeks just running it up and down the road 2 or 3 times a day just to get the smoke level down to reasonable levels .

They have the same Turbo as The MR2 Turbo. I know that because ours blew up and had to be replaced. You'll probably think I'm exaggerating but I kid you not the blow up looked like this, although we did manage to get the car home. Pete

Every other forum I frequent has the option of adding your location to your profile. For some reason all locations were "lost" when the board was upgraded a few months ago and the option is no longer there. It's a bit of a pain having to continually ask where people are located, especially when you are buying/selling items or welcoming a new member. Would it be possible to reinstate the option at some future date? Thanks, Pete

O.K, so I've got this set of Penta Axis wheels that recently came off Caroline's roadster. As you can see from the photo below they are in a really shocking state, with loads of corrosion sprouts. I'm looking to clean the wheels up to to get them into an acceptable state to use again at sometime in the future, I had considered a professional refurb but frankly from the price I was quoted it would be cheaper to buy a new set of wheels off E-Bay. I'm not looking to do a complete refurb as the spokes are actually very good, it's just the dishes that need some (well a lot) of attention. Time isn't a problem, if it takes a couple of months then so be it Pete

I've used the double tap technique for years having had 2 catastrophic high speed (70 mph) brake failures many years ago. It's more of a confidence tap than anything else, you know, just to make sure the brakes are still working but I do think it gives it a higher biting point. Pete

You're probably right but it just looks like a different colour to me. This one looks nothing like Will's Rosie....further investigation required EDIT, Well you are right they have the same paint code (NAG), must be down to difference in lighting. Pete

They're not that easy to tell apart unless you see them parked up next to each other a bit like Blade Silver and Universal Silver. As far as seeing red Zed's goes outside of meets I've only ever seen two so they're pretty rare. Pete

I seriously considered an ST as long ago as 2003 and went as far as having a fairly long test drive. Despite the fact I was offered a really good deal I found the car to be uninspiring and pretty bland really. Pete
