I've got a few machines, nothing very high spec though. My main machine is a 3.0ghz 8 core AMD bulldozer with a 440GT card, 4 gb of Ram and a couple of 1tb hard drives. The one alongside it is a Phenom 4 core with a 240GT card, 2gb of Ram and a couple of Hard drives, 1tb and 600mb, I have a KVM to switch from machine to machine. I did have 460 cards in both of these but my electric bill rocketed as I tend to leave them on 24/7. Pete

Yeah, lift the bonnet and the 313 has twin intakes, also dipstick is at the front of the engine. Pete

Tyres will be worth something but the rims probably not sadly. Pete

Almost certainly an Irish import. Nissan brought a load of these over late 2008 after the Irish economy collapsed and they all had GT4 wheels. I don't see it being a problem though as the spec looks identical to The U.K models and they should hold their price quite well. One thing to note is that a small number of these Irish cars were actually 296's so check to see if it has the bonnet bulge. Pete

Just had a look at my Axis Pentas which are off the car at the moment. They also have Axis EXE on one of the spokes. Have yours been refurbed and resprayed at any time? They look identical to my wheels but a slightly different colour. Pete Hi Pete, thanks for that - strange, eh? Yeah mine have been resprayed - I was going to get them fully refurbed soon and stripped back. Looking at the current Axis Pentas I can't actually find whether they're still available or whether they've been replaced by the hyper-black and matt-black wheels (although the main page image shows 'em as silver on the yellow 350). Did you get your Penta's in the UK? Where from if I can ask? Cheers, A. I bought mine second hand in 2011. The guy told me that he'd imported them from The States towards the end of 2009, so I'm guessing that the silver ones have been discontinued for quite a while . If the hyper black ones are the same style and size I guess you could always get one, respray it and fit the Ascari centre cap........ Presuming of course that Axis or an Axis dealer would sell you a single wheel. Pete

BMW M3 is the safe bet, bags of go, hold their value well, the only downside is that they're fairly anonymous. S2000, yeah nice car, good looking and quite rare, one of the best I've ever driven actually but a bit cramped if you're 6 foot or over. Z4, TT as above, but not nearly as nice to drive as the S2000, quite common too. RX8, you can get an almost new one for 10 grand, but it'll depreciate at the speed of light. Not driven one though. Boxster, Look nice, something of a status symbol compared to the Zed, reliable, considered one myself. Evo, Subaru, My missus wouldn't entertain one of these . Elise, I can hardly get into one of these let alone get out again. Pete

Aye, you're probably right. From a chief constable (Northamptonshire)..... A prosecution for an offence via a clip submitted in such a manner is unlikely and therefore the value of such clips should be taken as limited. If Forces are seeking an appropriate response, I would recommend that in most cases, a suitable letter to the registered owner of the vehicle would be proportionate where the submitted clips meet a high enough standard; You may wish to consider making a clear policy decision not to act upon submitted video clips where the volume becomes unmanageable; The idea of a ‘vigilante’ approach of members of the public standing by the side of the road with mobile phones and video cameras should be argued against for safety reasons. Yes, I did exactly the same thing, I rounded the nut off, bashed it with a chisel, etc. Eventually I put the wheels and spacers back on, tightened everything up and drove it down to a garage. They used one of those turbo sockets, hammered it on then got a bar that must have been 3 foot long and after a couple of minutes off it came. They didn't charge me (I know them quite well though) but I gave the guy a tenner anyway. Pete

Well, I guess it would produce plenty of downforce and plenty of drag too. Still, with that amount of power I don't suppose it'd make much difference. Pete

Well for sure I've had plenty on near misses, came off my bike several times but the only thing damaged was my pride. I had a couple of wild years after I passed my car test then self preservation kicked in. Seeing a few of my mates have really nasty accidents I started driving defensively, treating everyone else on the road as a complete idiot for a start . Yes, I've been lucky but I've noticed that the safer I drive, the luckier I get . Pete

24 and its £350....it's not just about age though unfortunately. Postcode, job, driving history etc! I don't really understand the huge differences that people pay. I'm 64, have held a full car license since 1969 and a full motorbike license since 1967. I've never been involved in any sort of collision, the only claim I've ever made was when my car was stolen and recovered with superficial damage in 1997. I have one speeding conviction from 1991 which has well expired, I'm retired, in excellent health and live in area classed by the insurance companies as low risk , B rating to be exact, do less than 3,000 miles a year and I'm paying £3 a year less than a 24 year old. O.K, I've got a very low excess and all sorts of goodies should I have an accident but it just doesn't add up really . Pete

I think the Ascari and Axis Pentas are the same. Madmarkey told me that Axis are copies of the Ascari original design. Pete

I think I'd need a 16 point turn to get that on my drive . Not even sure it'd go down our lane! Pete

The police have marked the track of the vehicle with yellow lines. There don't look to be any skidmarks but a few weeks ago a vehicle crashed through a gate on a lane by us and the marks it left were very faint (possibly the ABS kicking in?). Note that the yellow lines start right on the edge of the verge. Pete

I looked on google maps. Road is as straight as an arrow for miles, but quite narrow and the accident happened right before a humpback bridge. Car was certainly shifting but why it crossed the road and went through a hedge, I've no idea. Pete

Welcome , 1 .....Service intervals are 9,000 miles or 12 months whichever is the sooner. The services progress from P1 (cheapest), to P3 (most expensive) 4 ......I took mine for dealer servicing until the warranty expired. Pete
