  1. Some F1 cars can go through there without lifting off the gas so I'd estimate over 190 these days (it was 187 in the early 2000's). Because of the complexities of the corner they lose about 15 mph by the time they hit the straight. GT cars would probably be slightly down on that 150/160 or so? Pete
  2. Sadly this is the corner where Stefan Bellof was killed in the 80's. It's a fantastic corner though but not one to get wrong or have a tyre/suspension failure. Pete.
  3. Yeah, we went through something similar. Caroline got a company car and then got made redundant 3 years later. What we did was to keep her old car, a fairly worthless Daewoo Lanos, put it on SORN but by keeping it insured we were able to keep up her maximum no claims. There's another factor here, Caroline being close to retirement meant we knew she wasn't going to have a company car for many years anyway. Pete
  4. O.K , shoot me down in flames , got any better suggestions? Pete
  5. Simplest way would be add it on to household insurance. Pete
  6. That's one of the nicest Zed's on this forum . Personally though, I couldn't imagine me ever preferring to drive a Chelsea Tractor over a Zed but hey, that's your choice . Probably getting towards the end of the selling period for 2013 so if you do decide to sell now is the time to do it. Pete
  7. The problem is that the scripts are in Japanese which is hard coded into the SatNav. However, there is a British company that can convert them to English...........cost unknown. http://www.soarer.tv/Nissan350/ Jeez, the conversion costs in the region of £900-£1200 . Pete
  8. They haven't produced a decent player in years, don't know why because in the 40's/50's/60's and right through to the 80's Scotland churned out many world class players. Pete
  9. Oh dear, looks like I "need" one of these . Pete
  10. Hmm, that's really nice , presumably that's a respray ? Pete

    My New Ride

Wow, lovely car and that's quite some aerial you've got there . Pete
  12. Some of them look in pretty good nick, some not so. I would imagine it'd take 10-15 years to build up the collection plus maybe 20-25 years just standing there . Pete
  13. 28 years at my current rate . Pete
  14. Must have been 25 350's on the Sunday, although not all at the same time. There was also a good mixture of 240's through to 300's from The Z club, about 10-12 I'd estimate. Pete
  15. Welcome along. If you're very lucky you might find another key hidden away somewhere in one of the cubby holes. Pete
  16. Well, got home safely from a great day out, and what a turnout we had too . Photos to come tomorrow. Pete
  17. Unfortunately there's no one on here currently making a custom SatNav for The Zed. Retro fitting a Nissan system (presuming you could even find one) isn't an easy task and if you have a 313 then it's probably impossible. Now and again a Nurrish system will come up for sale on these forums but although mine has worked perfectly others have had major problems with them. Pete
  18. That looks very much to me like a "Nurrish" SatNav so I'm guessing that at one time it was owned by a forum member. Pete
  19. Caroline reports that some men will do anything to overtake her but only a small minority, myself I never really notice any difference. I'm never in a rush so I usually let people out at junctions, slip roads and no amount of provocation will get me to race anybody, did all that 30 years ago and don't want to go there again. Pete
