  1. Megs to clean and then Finish Kare 1000p to seal, its specifically designed for wheels and exhausts and is effective at up to 250 centigrade. Link below. http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/sealants/ ... d_589.html
  2. Scorpion every time, lovely growl not too "chavvy", but its a marmite job. Love it or hate it, but in the end it an acceptable level for the majority of us.
  3. I bought their plenum spacer when they first become a trader, it was absolutely brilliant and I said so on this site, it takes a bit of time for new traders to become recognised. These guys are good and know their stuff and as we now know have become the third company to do the uprev on our beloved Z. All good for us the owners, because as we all know competition is good for cheaper prices.
  4. Get youself a watchcat, something like this:-
  5. I was in the same predicament when I bought my Das6 and I use Megs now, be aware that unlike some polishing paste they use microscopic compounds that break down on purpose, this is to ensure that its very difficult to scour or hologram the surface. Therefore you have to work the compound in with around at least 6 passes to get maximum removal. Check out "cleanyourcar.co.uk" lots of useful advice or Megs own site, good videos on there. Happy detailing.
  6. Hi just to ensure you are getting this right, your quote to clarify. "You must have at least 70% light transmission through the front windows" This means the front side windows "in front of the B pillars" but you require 75% through the windscreen.
  7. I wouldn't harm a cat but its associating your bonnet with warm and comfort. Therefore you get it to associate your bonnet with something it hates usually a bucketful or two of cold water works quite well, but be stealthy they take some creeping up on and your neighbours will think you've lost it but it doesn't cause any harm.
  8. Tints are not checked under the MOT system, Vosa are in charge of the legislation and the police have the juristiction to deal with it. Quote from Vosa below, Vehicle & Operator Services Agency (VOSA) Statement The window tinting law in the UK states that the specifications are: a) The law is for Motor Vehicles first used on or after 1 April 1985 The light transmitted through the windscreen must be at least 75%. c) The front side windows (to either side of the drivers’ head) must allow at least 70% of light to be transmitted through them. If the glass is tinted to a point whereby it lets through less light, the vehicle is breaking UK Window tinting law. As stated by others the police really have the power to enforce it in many ways really up to the kindness or not of the individual officer? Thats it keep it at or above 70% and your safe.
  9. I did mine a few weeks ago. To be clear you remove the aluminium trim gently of the handle do not leaver at the ally trim its is pressed on to the main assembly with a series of plastic lugs running on the edge , inside the handle undo the 2 bolts or screws (I think there 10mm bolts) one at the top, one at the bottom, then lever of the hollow handle from the top and pull gently out and upwards this should now come away. After that gently lever of the arm rest and the electric switch is held in by some clips that undo. Just be careful looking for the lugs moulded to the plastic assemplies (handle and arm rest) these are the bits you need to lever at.
