  1. Have a good search on this site we have discussed this subject inside out and the conclusions in general were that there was little or no real gain with the thermal spacers in this country, especially if you have the one with the valve and forget to turn it back on. Horsham on this site supply their own make of this, because after all are they are only an aluminium spacer when all's said and done, and they were doing a group type buy a few weeks ago, Jez would probably do you a good deal without any need for a group buy. I have one and they do make a difference in air volume , one of the main ingredients in improved performance.
  2. Happy with a service station, howwwwever we now have two named, jct 24 and now jct 23a??? Eithers good for me.
  3. Hi Andrew Born just down the road from you "Kinghorn" and how's Raith Rovers getting on.
  4. I get the same noise, this is normal, I find its just the pitch of the noise that does change when the clutch is in or out if you get what I mean? When you say a rough noise that varies from person to person have a listen at other z's at local area meets that should give you the answer.
  5. Admiral renewal this week went from £316 to £334, well chuffed when you hear abut these nightmare thousands.
  6. Had trouble originally with my scorpion took my car back to the mechanics twice, no issues, no extra charges everyone was happy. Any reputable garage will do this. Glad you got it sorted out now?
  7. But many of us have used guys/garages who we know do a super job and are far removed from those cowboys out there +1 they want return trade, its good for business get friendly with you local mechanic
  8. Its all about trust I would use my local man because he is very knowlegable about the Z and its particular problems, heat shields etc. They always advise me to run the car for a few days and come back if there is any rattles etc, not uncommon in fitting exhausts because of its issues. Be carefull about the use of impact tools around the fitting of your cats, they have been known to cause breaks due to the vibration level from the tool my local fitter does these by hand tools because of this. I think someone has said that it would be worth saying where you live and then any local Z owners can specify places they have used? What ever you do keep us in touch and a few photos would be good.

    Hose pipe

Soory guys if I appear to be a bit obtuse with you I dont mean to be, the hoses are venair and I have fitted the four you have stated but still have this wriggly little snake left, however I am going to use it in other small pipe sections. Cheers for the help.

    Hose pipe

I have emailed that question to my supplier and I am awaitng a reply, but I am aware that two of our official suppliers sell this hose on this site and less than 6 month ago this situation arose without an answer. If you are saying you do not know where it fits thats fine because thats what I am asking?

    Hose pipe

Regardless of whether its 4 or 5, that is not the question, where does the hose fit, as per my photo? So can we get back to that please. Cheers jeff

    Hose pipe

Cheers mate. I have already looked at doing this and I can see one or two places I can do this so it will not be a waste, but these hose pipes are for sale on this site by official sellers advertising them for us ? It just seems a waste that you buy 5 pipes and end up throwing one away, can I add that I did not buy these from any one on this site but I have seen them for sale on our offficial suppliers internal sites, I was hoping they would give me the answer. Any way thanks for all your help.

    Hose pipe

Thanks for the replies but I have fitted all the ones that you have shown, I seem to remember that I have seen this issue before on this site and I don't think it was resolved on the previous enquiry. I am now thinking that maybe its a JDM issue and I have paid for a useless bit of tube? It doesn't fit our export models, unless you know better? Thanks for the contributions. Jeff

    Hose pipe

Fitted some coolant hose pipes to the engine but I've ended up with this left and I am damned if I can find where it goes as a replacement? Any one got any ideas? Thanks in anticipation. the hose is 12mm dia.
  15. Yep!! all the best inventions are stolen
  16. Hi, look what I've just received for being a good boy You might guess what one box is but whats in the bigger box? Well it looks like its a trip over to RS at Leeds for an adjustment remap now. A big thankyou to tarmac for the stillen pipe, excellent service even though I'm broke now till next month,
  17. Hi again, there's actually 8x12mm bolts on the front that would look good to match in.
  18. Hi There are some bolts on the front of the engine compartment that are 12mm do you or anyone else know if there are replacements in the same style as your 10mm to cover these ones? Cheers
  19. OK!! who stole the screw cover?
  20. Well done, lets hear it for Tarmac
  21. Further to the right in the well hole that you shut the door with?
  22. I agree with husky you don't need to take the padded bit off, done this job a few weeks ago, drivers side. Pop off the plastic round cover thingy in the well of the handle, take out the screw holding it down, the whole top half of the arm can now be eased off and all the switches can be unclipped from the arm. Simples.
  23. We've only just electric up here, let alone specialist garages! Electric "whats this electric thingy"
  24. I'm after the exhaust fitting but am up in Lincoln fairly often so it would be good to know if there's a garage in the area who has some Zed knowledge generally. I have a good local Lincoln garage that I have used for other cars but they may not be up to speed with the nuances of some Zed bits..... I tend to use specialist independents where possible but do price main dealers to keep 'em honest.... All recommendations appreciated!!!!! What I was after is that if you are supplying your own exhaust, speak to the manager at Mr Tyres on outer circle drive, they will not be happy with the fit until it is perfect. No issues in taking it back until its right. If you have remaps on the car you will always have isssues in having a remap and thats with RS at leeds unless you go down south to horsham or abbey. Crystals the main dealer are surprisingly good but of course charge more but having said that I got a P3 for £204 supplying my own fluids. I even got to speak to the mechanic befor the service about my mods and what I wanted. They were quite comfortable with this and I was impressed with the service. I live in Lincoln and I have found both of these companies to be good and these are in Lincoln. Cheers
