  1. I use AD08s on my Z and we used to use it for a MR2 tubby on track, lovely tyre. I find there's plenty of grip and progressiveness in the wet/cold to be safe, but I wouldn't want to push too much. We found Brands in the cold+wet after the circuit had been gritted a bit tricky, although you could feel the grip very well still. You'd probably have more wet/cold grip with MPSS, although I haven't tried them. The durability of AD08s on track is great though. I'd change Ekona's advice slightly: If you're doing lots of trackdays and purely dry/fun driving then use the 888s. If you frequently do track days or only really push it in the dry but also want a daily driver without changing wheels then get the AD08s. If you're driving it daily and want to push a bit more in the wet then use the MPSS. Getting some 888s and MPSS and swapping wheels before/after track days would probably be the perfect solution.
  2. Can the polls be anonymous on here? Don't think I've ever set one up!
  3. Or something like this where you enter your salary after tax and it tells you what percentile you're in: http://www.theguardian.com/society/datablog/interactive/2012/jun/22/how-wealthy-you-compared?guni=Graphic:in%20body%20link
  4. I went to Four Lanes school in Chineham, my brother lives just behind Centre Court by Tesco's these days but I've moved in to London.
  5. I know! Then again it's winter, my cars sitting in the underground car park, most likely with a flat battery. It'll probably be a bit dusty but clean ish...
  6. I just realised the last special offer I bought from you is still sitting under my desk at work!! Guess I don't need the shampoo or wheel cleaner then, could use the APC though.
  7. You'll probably be relaxed to be honest, adrenaline come down.
  8. What on earth is up with all this spam recently? Has someone cracked the Captcha thingy?
  9. I didn't ask for donations when I started skydiving, I figured it was a bit cheeky of me to ask people for money to do something I really wanted to take up as a hobby anyway. Got 11 jumps in the end and haven't done it since, I find it's a bit too far to travel from London to do it regularly and it's one of those things you have to do regularly. Anyway, donated a tenner, enjoy, especially the sensory overload if you get it!
  10. I've got a blind friend who's a stand up comedian, observational comedy obviously.
  11. For £1500 I'd be suprised if you could cover decent labor for the rebuild! I guess the engine could have been rebuilt prior to the donor car being written off, but then that would raise even more questions.

I'll take one as soon as it's available! How much do you want for 1? Well it's the first week in January Lee.
  13. Your telling me, I went out to buy a new laptop a couple of weeks ago expecting to spend about 400-500 came back with a the macbook pro retina, all singing & dancing & nearly £2k over budget But what a great bit of kit, the screen is awesome I'm finding the screen a little over kill tbh, the fonts are tiny under linux! I can well believe this, most of the OSX apps compensate for the high pixel density. You running Ubuntu or another distro? Fedora using WindowMaker rather than Gnome/KDE etc. Don't think much has changed with it since the late 90's and still find it the most productive window manager, so on modern hardware it's stupidly quick!
  14. My seats are normally toasty, although I did wonder if they were working yesterday. Maybe that was something to do with driving with the top down on Christmas day though.
  15. Thanks Ian, great quality! Glad I got some as they've turned out far better than I expected! Merry X-mas!!

  17. Yep, just bought one a week or so ago after my old laptop died... Went for the cheapest 15" pro retina as I've put linux on it and really don't need the extra resources. Lovely bit of hardware, missing the page up/down,end,del etc keys though! Surely they could have moved the speakers down besides the touchpad and added a few more keys.
  18. As long as it's had a yearly service I wouldn't worry about low mileage, there could be corrision inside the exhaust, maybe, but that's easy to fix.
  19. I have a full set of Brembos incl pads, discs and lines sitting at Abbey that you could buy. They came off a ~20k mile 2007 car.
  20. Yeh, but you drive a Vauxhall! Not anymore! In my mind you still drive a Vauxhall until you change your avatar.
