You must have a cat to pass MOT emissions tests, but stock cats are fairly restrictive which is why a lot of people change them. As an alternative to the stock cats you can either swap them directly for high flow cats, or swap them for de-cats in which case you'd need to add a cat somewhere else (e.g: Motordyne XYZ y-pipe with racing cat)... or use decats and swap the cats back in each year at MOT time but this is a PITA. I went for the Motordyne ART decats + XYZ pipe on Abbeys recommendation.

On a side note - does anyone know where you can find deep dish lmgt4's? Saw some on a photo in a thread on here and been looking ever since... can't find them even on Jap websites!

E-bay seems the cheapest by about £30, you may want to consider the Buddy Club exhaust as well if you have a few more pennies to spend - I haven't seen/heard it personally but I've read good things on here.

Doesn't Sarah @ Chilli Red sell exhausts? You could try the other member traders on here as well.

Saw this plate on DVLA and thought it would be good for anyone called Scot or anyone Scottish with a March 07+ Zed, they have it listed for £1425.

Have you thought of getting and after market exhaust?

I could've sworn I saw 1 of the member traders selling these... can't remember which 1 though.

I play poker every Monday if I'm not on shift, everyone puts in a tenner and the pots split between 1st, 2nd and 3rd. On average I was about £9.50 up per game last year so approx 100% profit each time I played... shame we only play for such small stakes!

I'd leave if I was you, doubt I'd even wait to find another job! You've got a notice period to find 1 in anyway... although could be risky depending on your circumstances.

Is that true? From an engine point of view I would have thought the lower the RPM when cold the less damage done, I'd much prefer my engine lasted longer rather than trying to save my exhaust.

Do a search on author "Nurrish", he does a custom 350Z sat nav/stereo which is just about the best you'll find.

I'm the same, sadly I reckon the resale value is higher with a FNSH, shame there isn't a fairly cheap post service checkup service from the pros to make sure the dealers actually did everything right!

Hard disks are prone to breaking, I'd suggest getting a NAS box that can run a media server with at least 2 disks that can be mirrored (RAID 1, the disks automatically contain the same data) so that if 1 HDD breaks, as long as you replace it before the other breaks you'll not lose your data... re-ripping all your CDs,downloading again from Amazon etc etc is a PITA depending how many albums you own. The D-Link DNS-323 is pretty good for this. Then you can stream the music anywhere on your network from the same source using the client of your choice, e.g: WMPlayer on your desktop in the study, your TV/Stereo via a PS3/XBox/Squeezebox in the lounge, a standalone hi-fi type client in the kitchen.
