  1. I couldn't agree more. I pretty much went off formula one about the time brawn won and all the double/blown diffuser fiasco. If the rules are there at the start of the season and someone finds a novel way around the rules that gives them an advantage then fair play to them. If you really have to make a mid-season decision on whether or not something's legal don't take half a bloody season making that decision.
  2. Mr Moderator, how about we keep this topic nice and clean? Shhhh you! We're just trying to pass the time while there's no updates!
  3. I'm one of the few people who doesn't like the R35... but don't tell Adrian that.
  4. A steering rack for a 350Z HR and 370Z has been received by AAM, they're using those to redesign the manifold now... no idea when that will get back to the UK though.

    TYRES 275/40/18.

Errmmm, to keep the rolling radius the same shouldn't you be looking for 275/40/18? 245*0.45 ~= 275*0.4
  6. OK, I guess I'm the only person in the world who doesn't actually like the look of it?
  7. I don't suffer from this on my HR (AFAIK) but I'm tempted to get it done when Adrian finally TTs my car... I guess the parts are fairly cheap and it's the time that's the main cost? I'm guessing if the engine is out anyway for the TT kit the swap is fairly easy?
  8. Actually that's not true, once the employer has said in writing that "you personally (i.e: not consultation) are being made redundant on date X", assuming you work until X they must pay you the redundancy, if you find another job after receiving that letter then you can try to negotiate an earlier end date by way of a "redundancy counter notice". The company can then either accept the earlier date, do nothing which is the same as accepting, or they can send a counter notice themselves declining the earlier date. Even if the company refuses the earlier date, they have to do so reasonably and an employment tribunal can decide against them if it's unreasonable (bit of a grey area there mind). 9. Most likely, since the package hasnt been announced The press have been saying the tax payer will likely be paying for the redundancy payments, if so it will most likely be the statutory redundancy pay only. i.e: 1 week for every year worked (assuming BBK was over 22 when he joined, he looks about 12 to me. ). I don't think I'd risk hanging around for redundancy and losing the other job, also bear in mind that there may be plenty other BHS employees seeking work soon so the longer you leave it the more competition there will be. BBK, consider the worst case scenario: you wait for the good job, you get made redundant, the good job falls through and the boring job has now gone leaving you hunting for a job for X months/years - what happens to your Wedding/House/Kid plans then? I think I'd take the boring job now, even though it's a friends husband, if it doesn't work out I'm sure they'll understand that you didn't like it there/had a better job offer/weren't challenged enough or whatever the reason to move on after short notice, if it's purely money they may even make you a better offer at that point assuming you've proven your worth by then.
  10. For it to be feasible then the users would have to be able to opt in/out of being tagable, and then when tagging someone it would have to warn the poster that the user has tagging disabled so that they don't assume they've made contact when they haven't.
  11. And the word of the day competition winner is...
  12. Have you thought about talking to him about the situation? Sure, if he has someone else lined up who may be a longer term deal he may go with them, but he may not have and may require the extra resource to get work done asap while he finds someone else.
  13. I just bought an ex council 2 bed flat near the nice part of Rickmansworth for £285k!!!! My 1 bed flat in Surbiton is worth about £450k at the minute... yes... one bed! I'm sure that's nothing compared to central London but still...
  14. Which is? Probably that the chassis isn't a purpose built one for the Z, it's a standard format used for many Nissans.
  15. I miss my old PalmOS & WebOS devices.
  16. Shall we have bets on how long it is until that car has spacers?

    Ceramic pads ?

Zero. Ceramic pads have ZERO performance over a semi metallic pad. Don't race on them, don't sprint drive on them. Well, not exactly Zero. They have less brake dust, they're quieter and have a longer life span... probably not what I'd call relevant improvements for a sports car mind. Interesting reading: http://www.autoanything.com/brakes/the-best-brake-pads-ceramic-or-metallic.aspx
  18. I'm playing it now, usually I play the deprived class which has no starting stats, it makes the start a bit harder but you can usually farm some starting enemies and level up before hitting the first boss. In DS3 there's a boss immediately, no way to avoid it... yes you can beat him as deprived but I'm not going to bother as it's too much effort.
  19. Read this before you speak to them: http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/publications/technical_notes/motor-insurance-fault-claims.html
  20. It might be worth one last call to the insurance company stating that you're not happy with the 50/50 decision as a) there was definitely an accident as the other insurer has accepted a 50/50 decision, b ) you can prove via photographic evidence that the other vehicle came around the corner on the wrong side of the road causing the accident c) if they don't pay out in full you'll contact the ombudsman to investigate the issue. If they don't budge refer it to the ombudsman and see if they can do anything. EDIT: Someone should really change the code for the smiley.
  21. Insurance companies never want to argue as the cost of the staff/legal time is usually more than paying out so they take the easy route. If the other insurer is accepting 50/50 then there must have been contact, otherwise there's no accident and they wouldn't even pay their 50%. I assume the photo (can't see it above, maybe post it here?) shows you both stopped after the accident with him on your side of the road half around the corner? The damage to your car would be inline with that (i.e: front offside damage) I presume? Who would pay the court costs if it went to court? I'd be tempted to do it anyway purely out of principle.
  22. But Bradders was talking about the Mk2.
  23. Unfortunately it feeds itself, if insurance was cheaper and you didn't get hammered so much for having an accident most people wouldn't bother trying to get out of it. The more people that do try and get out of it the higher the prices get and even more people try to avoid it. Perhaps insurance companies need to work with the police more to clamp down on "minor" insurance fraud?
