  1. Scam.

    Look at the telephone number.....

I'd go along with scam - the mileage in the advert header says 11k, but the text of the ad says 5.5k

The ad in this thread has an e-mail address embedded in the pics in exactly the same way as this one did: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=70&t=61608&p=884880&hilit=scam+370#p884880

Anybody remember what the phone number was in the earlier advert, as AT seem to have removed it now?

  2. I've voted never, never, never....

....always used Shell V-Power (80%) or Tesco 99 (20%) since I bought mine.

Mind you, I checked the MOTs, and I've only done 3.5k miles in the last year, so there's not much excuse for not finding the right fuel, really!

  3. I love this car

I thought my 1.9GTi was lively, and my mate's MI16-engined 205 felt nuts by comparison to that with the standard 160bhp out of a Citroen BX....

    ....that thing must be terrifying.

Looks like a nice clean install.

  4. Also, Nissan put stickers on the underside of the bonnet - mine is a 313, and it has a black one about the refrigerant in the a/c, and another white one with a Nissan hologram and the VIN number on it. The top edge of the bumper also has the hologram/VIN sticker, as do both of the door shut areas and the underside of the bootlid.

If these are present, it is very unlikely (but not impossible) that it has been repaired and the repairer replaced the stickers...

  5. If its out of warranty, what happens when it goes wrong? It'll be another £5k loan!

    And the rest :scare:

I was trying not to be too scary with the hypothetical repair bill, but the GTR Mech I was talking to did once mention £18k for a gerabox problem on a car less than 1 year old....

Seriously, when I've had the Zed serviced at the local Nissan HPC, the GTR Master Mech there tells me some scary stories about the huge repair bills warranty companies have picked-up on GTRs he has worked on! I know they don't all break, but worth considering all the same!

  7. Where in the country are you?

You could try to meet somebody else with a similar car and compare the noises? I'm in Dorset if it helps, and my 57 plate should be mechanically similar to yours.

The transmissions are a bit noisy on the zeds, but I wouldn't say a loud whine is normal.
