Admiral do allow mods, I'm changing to them in a couple of weeks. £470 for my 370 and £180 for the wifes Yaris.
-
Top motor, love the white on black theme.
-
I've just had my renewal from Privilege, excess put up from £250 to £500, premium up from around £350 to £570. I'm 44, 10 years ncb. No mods allowed either, so I've binned them. Had a quote from Admiral £250 excess, will insure mods and including a cbe exhaust came in at £470. NN15 postcode. 14k mileage with business use. £40 more if I put the car down as garaged! Bonkers. May try some of the others but will probably go with this as I don't think it's to bad.

When I had the 350, I ran a 1.0 Micra for donkey work. Cheapest car you can get and reliable, and it has a chain rather than cambelt so no worries there. Did 20,000 trouble free miles, never serviced it..just added petrol. Sold it when I chopped in the 350.

Why is this in the 370 mods bit?

On the **REMOVED** forum there's a thread which mentions the paint being non standard and Nissan qouting it at £1k per litre FFS if you buy it don't scratch it!

Carbon tips hmmmm look fantastic. Can't wait to see all the goodies fitted!
-
Akrapovic with Carbon Tips....nice.... with the line "It was cheaper if I went for the carbon tips, less polishing involved for the finish!" I dread to think what that baby would cost! Nice sound though and I like the carbon tips a lot.

Cheers gents, hopefully fairly loud but no bleeding ears! Our american cousins seem to run this with HFC's. Can only judge the sound from the youtube clips but seems ok in cabin and out. It is expensive and I shall be hiding the details from she who must be obeyed but hopefully worth every penny! I told her I would be spending £5-600 on one (multiply by three ) Vid clip when installed.

The HKS Hi Power Ti....woooohoooo! First one in the UK so hopefully it fits, not been tried on a right hand drive model yet! HKS have kindly agreed to take it back if it doesn't. I've admired this on the US forums and like the sound and IMO looks the nuts. It'll look good with my Blue car and the burnt tips. Just got to wait a few weeks for it to arrive now, 3-5 weeks I think. Just need to find a new insurance company now Thanks to Mark at Abbey for his help.

Had a reply from Janspeed with some pics and dyno graphs, db levels etc. The pics are not 'glossy' just taken from when one was fitted to a car. There's quite a lot of stuff, the exhaust looks OK, the dB's seem quite low and they would do a group buy as follows for a full cbe: ********************** If one is ordered the price is £789.80 inc VAT. If you/your club orders 5 then the price drops to £691.07 and if you get 10 people confirmed, then I can do it for £550. Postage will be £15.50 for every parcel. ********************** If anyone wants the pics I can mail them to you, there are quite a few, not great though. Not sure it's for me, no sound clips and it doesn't look that pleasing to my eye. Marketing doesn't seem to be this companies strong point. Here's a file of the dyno, parts and run data..airflow etc:

Group buys ( I wont do these on UPREV reflashes)

So that's the price for 350's and 370's? Seems good to me cheaper than I thought. This has probably been asked before but here goes...if the dealer does a software upgrade during a service, do you lose the tune and licence? I know they sometimes do this and don't inform the customer. Is there a way of checking the tune is still active/installed? Sorry if it's a dim question! -
Can you PM me prices, if I go for either of these it will probably be exhaust only for now, my pennies probably wouldn't stretch as far as a tune at the minute. Cheers
-
I'll try and get a vid when I next see him for the nismo. Akrapovic....nice and equally nice price. Agreed distinct lack of zorsts in the uk.
-
Not criticising the Stillen, I think it sounds good but again £1450ish and need to import. Looks good in your pics but some I've seen they look a lot further out, maybe just the angle of the pics. If I could get a good quality and sounding zorst for around £700 the difference could be invested in an Uprev tune! Unless I can get some info from Janspeed it will probably be the HKS for me and no Uprev until next year sometime. I'll call Janspeed tomorrow and see what info they have. My mate has just bought a 2nd hand 370 fitted with a Nismo zorst..jammy git! He picked it up Friday and he's away so haven't got to hear it yet.
-
I like the look of the Berk, but it's the hassle of importing it, probably work out near the £1500 mark. I can get the HKS for around £1300 and available in the UK, but the janspeed and agency power are about £700, so a big difference. I'm with you on the Stillen pipes, to far out of the back for me, I'd like them near flush. If the janspeed is any good they are missing a trick as their advertising is non-existent. With more 370s on the road they'd shift a few, I'd like to see what the x-pipe is like to.
-
Insurance renewal in a month so I need to get my zorst sorted. So far the front runner is HKS SSM, but it costs a packet. I don't fancy the scorpion as the pictures I've seen don't make it the most attractive package and I'd like it to look and sound good. Agency power....probably not although I quite like the look and they sound pretty good on the vids I've seen just worry about quality. This brings me on to Janspeed. They offer a complete system or back box, x pipe etc. The price is good compared to all the others but I can't find any vids, pictures, reviews or anything. Does anyone have any pictures, vids, details?? There was a review on pistonheads for RJN developing the zorst but no pics, clips etc. Anyone any experience of Janspeed, quality, gains, sound? I've emailed them yesterday, but no reply yet. Might give them a call tomorrow.

Just take it back, I'm sure they'll change it. If the keylock doesn't work it's not fit for purpose. It may just need a software update, have a search on google for the same problem. There should be no problem if you want to swap it though.
-
Can't see this being around for long at that price! If you put it back to standard, I'd be interested in the exhaust.
-
The 3k off is nothing new, orangewheels have been advertising this for some time, I bought my car through them. I think the dealers have always had the room to knock the money off just some would for volume of sales and some wouldn't give you a bean off (westway Nissan are one). The 0% deal is the new thing and it has to be due to lack of sales, which I hope continue, keeps the residuals up!
-
Some insurers won't touch you if the cars modded, so definitely check before you do the deal.

Meguiars detailing seminar 27th November 2010
philb1965 replied to Envy Valeting's topic in Announcements
Can you put me on the list as well. Cheers Phil -
As much as I'd like a better sound, I ain't paying anywhere near that! I'll get a quote from both and post it up, but £350 to beat! I'm not holding my breath!
-
Just crappy rules I think, if they said a max of an extra 5% power incease then fair enough, but not allowing 5 or 10 bhp extra on 300bhp is a joke. Need to get a quote from chris knott/sky myself and see if they can get anywhere near privilige but I doubt they will.
-
Doesn't it add any bhp over the 350z oem? I'd settle for better noise but no performance increase, just not an option on the 370 from what I can see!
