Not tried it, I'll give it a go tomorrow morning and report back but I don't think it's brake related but you never know.

Cheeky git! 15 stone of 'cough'...muscle (if only). Bit embaressing to be honest.. look at my lovely shiney sports car...crrreeeeaaak! Curious if it's just me, though I doubt it. If I had a decent Nissan garage locally I'd take it in but they are monkeys.

When I get in and out if the car I get a creaking noise I think from the rear. Any other 370 owners with this 'feature'? Also have a little 'squeak' when going over speed bumps. May be the same thing. Going to be another 3 months before a service to get it sorted.

Carbon Fiber Mirror Covers - what you think ????

What about using a CF wrap? Not seen any in the flesh myself but it looks pretty good in the pics and it will definitely be a good fit. Few traders on here who do it I think. -
Tim I'm a donut. I forgot to order the lime prime lite! Can you add it to my order? Cheers phil
-
Hi Tim Ordered some stuff...the code didn't work though. Cheers Phil

No problem at all Phil. Yes once you've ultimate compounded you should only need Lime prime lite from there on in, but its recommended usage is bi-annually so you wount have to do it too often. I have another yellow pad, if you want me to put one to one side? Wheel cleaner wise depends if you have chrome or a non standard finish? If you have the standard powder coated wheels I'd recommend Espuma Revolution which comes in 1 or 5L sizes, dilutes 10:1 and I love it. https://www.envyvaleting.com/products_info.asp?id=152 If you do have more exotic wheels I'd suggest one of the Wolfs Chemicals products. 1 is a straight forward cleaner https://www.envyvaleting.com/products_info.asp?id=239 works well, smells vile and is 1L volume but its not dilutable The other they do is a clean and coat, https://www.envyvaleting.com/products_info.asp?id=240 Personally speaking I'd suggest going for something like the Revolution, and get a special sealent as in the long run will work out to be better value https://www.envyvaleting.com/products_info.asp?id=255 I know the rim sealent seems a small bottle but you use so little per application and I've been impressed with it in testing. Cheers Tim Thanks Tim, put the pad to one side for me and I'll put an order in on your website. Cheers Phil

Good to hear, hopefully have a crack at the Aygo in the next couple of weeks weather permitting. How long did it take?
-
Hi Tim The Aygo has been well abused! I've been thinking about it and initially for that I don't need a cleaner as I'm going to use some Megs Ultimate Compound on it. Is that right? Once it's improved I guess I'd just need the lime prime lite to clean. I don't want anything abrasive on the Z as it's fairly swirl free. So I guess I just need another yellow polishing pad and lime prime lite? I'll then top it off with either SRP or poorboys EX-P and a coat of HD Wax. Can you recommend a wheel cleaner and wheel wax as well please! Cheers.

I recently bought a G220 and plan to have a go improving the paint condition on my daughters Toyota Aygo before I do the Z Now I usually clay then use megs step 1 paint cleaner by hand on a full clean. I'd like to use the DA to take some of the strain out of it but I'm not sure about a couple of things. What paint cleanser could I use with the DA? Any recommendations other than the step1? I've only got one polishing and one finishing pad. I'm guessing I'd use the polishing pad for the cleaner but would I then need to clean it before applying polish? Do I need to buy a seperate pad for the cleaner? Any advice welcome, cheers.

I only use my PS3 for blu rays. All my gaming is on xbox. Forza3 is good and F1 2010 and when you've had enough of driving kill people on COD. About £30 a year to game online with xbox. Also use skyplayer on the xbox, personally wouldn't buy another PS3.
-
Get my exhaust fitted. Fit some black concave alloys but not sure which yet.
-
Am I right you've got the game but no PS3? If you need a console look on hotukdeals or just google cheap ps3's. Probably £200+ Driving games are best with a steering wheel. Most people get logitech G25 or G27's which I believe are good but have never used one. I've got a Fanatec wheel which works on xbox and ps3 Porsche turbo s wheel which is one of the best you can get, I love it. Google fanatec. Cost about £100-150 for the logitech and £300 for the fanatec. You'll also need a wheelstand or seat unless you clamp it to a desk. There's a wheel stand on the fanatec site which is about £100 or a complete cockpit £1k. Gameracer chairs are popular £300ish? Bloody expensive this gaming lark!

yep agreed, hopefully get it sorted in the next week

it will be the UK sponsored distributor; and if they are just that ( a distributor) they won't be covered for mechanical fitting etc. Spot on. They have a 4 post lift and all the tools for manufacture as they do a bit of developement there. Nathan even told the MD he'd come in and do it in his own time but a big no due to insurance. Biggest pain for me is I could have got it done when I was off over Xmas. Never mind.
-
The existing exhaust all fits in the 370 with no problems (been there and done it) - just suggest you take some big strong plastic bags to put the sections in and old sheets etc to protect your trim That's good to know thanks.

Blimey...haven't been called a numpty for hours! I'm no mechanical muppet, I restored an MGC a few years ago but got rid of axle stands. I really can't be bothered struggling with siezed nuts in this cold weather I don't have the gear to do it tbh. Local place is looking favourite as it's not rocket science. Just wondered if anyone can recommend anyone local.
-
Been let down by HKS, their MD has stopped the lads fitting my exhaust due to insurance issues....great! Felt sorry for Nathan who had to give me the good news! So, who do I get to fit it? There's an independent tyre/exhaust place who have said they'll do it for £45 an hour. Or do I take it to a specialist car place like CS or GGR if they'll do it? Only hassle will be getting my old exhaust back home if I go to CS or Graham Goode. Can anyone recommend anyone Kettering area to use?

Use these guys and it's £3k off and 0%, I've used them myself but before the 0% deal came in. http://www.orangewheels.co.uk/buy-new/nissan-370z.html

Porker seems to be the favourite. As has been said test drives of each car needed. I love my 370 that much I plan to keep and mod it barring some financial disasters, so give one a try you might be surprised and value for money there's no contest......but I'll own a Porsche as well with a bit of luck. Plan to use the 370 as a track day toy in a couple of years.
-
I'm with you on owning a Porsche, I'll be doing it at some point. Big difference in cost for the three but I'd have a Cayman S personally or an older 997 for the same money. The TT's don't do it for me.
-
I'd only heard good things to. Maybe a dodgy batch? It was sort of granular? I used loads if lube, kept it warm, sprayed the bar and the car. Perhaps it's just not for me. Be interested to see how you get on with it.
-
I'm not a fan. I've only ever used this and the megs clay but I preferred the megs. The bilt hamer seemed to go dry very easy and I was using megs last touch as a lube and plenty of it. Did the trick ok but was a lot more work for me than the megs. Still got some left so I'll try it again when it warms up a bit.

I had a Focus ST3 and it was a great car. Fast, comfortable and well built( yes well built), the five pot was great and loads of tuning options. I never bothered as it had plenty of poke as standard. It stuck to the road like glue and had loads of mid range torque, which would probably give a 350/370 a run for it's money. Parts/servicing reasonable. If you want a performance 4 seater you could do a lot worse. Personally RWD isn't the be all and end all for me as I don't have the driving ability to fully exploit it. It's a combination of looks, performance, build and cost for me. Don't dismiss fwd, there are some good cars out there. Not bothered about badge snobbery either, if it's a good car and I like it, I'll buy it.
