  1. It should be a pleasure buying a new car, unfortunately it' rarely anything like that. Can I ask how you become a sales 'professional'? Genuinely interested because I don't think I have ever met one. This saleswoman was anything but professional....commit to buy before we give you a part ex value!!!!...unbelievable! Easiest deal I've done was through a third party website. Test drove the car I wanted at a dealership who gave the standard 'don't think I can really discount off list but leave it with me and I'll see what I can do', logged onto the tinternet and orangewheels and bagged £3k off..no haggling needed. Dealer who supplied the car gave me a part ex over the phone which was good and deal done. What's complicated about that?
  2. Struggling myself but good build and probably fun to drive. Polo GTI Scirroco 1.4tsi.
  3. Best value smartphone bar none is the Orange San Francisco. You can unlock it for free from tinternet, just search for unlock orange san francisco. Android phone and great reviews...bargain. Bought the wife one and she loves it.
  4. Have a look on here. http://www.avforums.com/ There's loads of info which might actually confuse things but it should answer any questions. LED is LCD, it's just the type of backlighting. I've got a Panasonic plasma G20B and the picture is brilliant. LCD tv's tend to be sharper where plasma rend to be a softer picture which I prefer. You really need to see them in the flesh to decide what's best for you. Can't comment on the 3D sorry.
  5. Had a 54 plate Cooper S for 11 months, enjoyed it for the first month then hated it. Rock hard ride and uncomfortable. Went around corners on rails. Dashboard had more squeaks and rattles than a rattley squeaky thing. Drivers door power mirror broke. Tailgate release failed. Rust bubbled behind the drivers door wing (BMW confirmed it had not had a repair). 27mpg driving fairly sensibly. Bought from a BMW dealer with low mileage at the time. Had every whistle and bell but I was glad to see the back of it. Can't comment on the newer ones but have a look on the mini forums is my advice.
  6. Keep it in case you sell up and want to put it back to stock. You can sell the tanabee seperately. That's my plan anyway, you won't get any extra for the car with a zorst on it from what I've seen.
  7. +1 I've always liked these wheels and I think they look pretty good but not with a BMW centre cap. Not a hater
  8. +1 Data not encrypted? Sony online is dead, I'll be closing my account down as soon as I can, only ever use xbox anyway.

    New Boots!

Those wheels look fantastic. Stance and colouring is spot on and I like the stickers!
  10. Looks great! Nothing wrong with srp and egp. I use nxt shampoo which is good, especially if you can get it on a halfords 3 for 2. Rather than the egp I'd go for a hard wax like AG HD ( about £26 for a kit off eBay/amazon). You'll struggle to find anything better for the money, easy on and off , great beading and long lasting.
  11. This is a friendly forum and people will go out of there way to help, but you aren't helping yourself much. Peoples suspicions will be raised why you won't list what you need. Up to you pal, do youself a favour and just be straight otherwise good luck!
  12. Pm the guys mentioned. They break cars and can probably sort you out. You can obviously type so list what you need otherwise you have no chance.
  13. I'd be interested to see/hear what you think of these G Man. Nearly went for this myself but having never heard the difference HFC's make to the volume I bottled it!
  14. I'm pretty sure it's 9k or 12 months for service, which ever comes sooner. So if it's a 10 plate it could need a service soon. I'd tell them you want it serviced.
  15. Crazy really, they seem to accept every other mod under the sun.
  16. I'm with admiral to, £650 for my 370 and Toyota yaris. On a side note, do Admiral accept remaps? I thought they didn't but if they do a trip to abbey may be on the cards!
  17. Nope, no clutch smell at all for me in 9k miles. Haven't noticed the bite being near the top of the travel either, but I'll check tomorrow.
  18. Agree with you whole heartedly. I'm ex military and I'm fed up with our succesive governments thinking we are the worlds police force. I don't want to see any more coffins being carried on TV, it's heartbreaking. We should start to secure our own borders rather than looking after everyone elses.
  19. Best colour Bring on the blue haters! ST's a good car, I had a panther black one. What wheels are they?
  20. Apply the QD when the car is wet and then dry as normal. The QD starts to dispel the water straight away and you get no watermarks. I use megs last touch and it works well. I guess it's a bit like a quick wax when doing it like this. I've tried drying the car then applying the QD and it's a lot more effort.

    Tyres

Can't go far wrong with Michelin Pilot Sport 2. Had them on my 350 and no complaints. I've found the Re050a's ok personally but will probably get Michelins for all round performance, noise levels and wear though not sure which ones as they seem to have a few new types out now.
  22. Looks mint! Always wanted one of these in my youth, is it a Turbo? Very nice.
  23. Had a sort out in the garage and have a few things that need to go. First SIP compressor Nimbus 25 Litre. 5/16 adaptor and air hose with tyre inflator,SIP spot blaster and 10KG bucket of grit media. The compressor is about 10 years old and only been used a handful of times. Buyer Collects £80 for the lot. Second is a Carcoon which I used when I had my MGC. Again about 10 years old, no rips tears hasn't been up for the last 5 years but is fine as you can see in the pics. It is also a battery conditioner to keep it tip top. Size I believe is Medium but I've measured and a car width wise 1.2M and length 3.8M will fit quite comfortably. Don't now if a 350 would fit but I doubt it. Ideal if anyone has a classic or small car which they rarely use. Again buyer collects £80. Any questions let me know.
  24. I've got a chippex kit. It's not as easy as they make it sound but I am naturally cack handed. It's is better than just a touch up pen as the fluid they provide (not sure what it is) lets you remove excess paint. Paint match for my car is pretty good. The little applicators for the paint are quite good, but a cocktail stick or brush would do. I can never get the paint to stay level when removing it, it always seems to take too much off. Tried leaving the paint to dry for varying times, up to an hour but still no better. This was done in the summer when nice and warm. Next plan is to take the majority of the paint off without going below the original paint if I can, then get the DA on it to polish and see if that looks any better, but not until the weather improves. Just a cleaner way of reducing the look of the chips for me so far. Don't pay ful price for the chippex, most other sites have discount codes of 20% on them, the VAG site used to. If anyone has any ideas of what the fluid is they provide I'd be interested to know.
  25. Daily driver for me. Had a shed when I had my 350 but realised it was a waste being sat in the garage. What ever car I get from now on will be used as it should be so I get the full benefit. Do about 12k a year so not high miles. Unless plan A comes in and I win the lottery...then I'll have a few cars to choose from!
