  1. You may well be right, but the argument for potholes and bumps in the road doesn't stack up for me. Both rears have worn exactly the same. So assuming the suspension settings were correct when I bought it, I've managed to hit various potholes and kirbs to make them both wear exactly the same way and put the settings out exactly the same on both wheels. If it was one wheel then I'd be the first to agree with you. I'm sure I'll get told to do one by the dealers but if you don't ask.... I'm more interested to hear if other 370 owners have had similar or not or if it's just normal. I've had 16k out of the tyres which is pretty good to be honest, but if the geometry is out and I can get more life out of the next set then great. I don't want to go messing with it for no reason though.
  2. I know you're probably right, but for both rears to wear exactly the same? Let's see if anyone else has the same problem. Doesn't hurt to ask the dealer the question.
  3. If it's been wrong since build then I'm going to try and get the dealers to sort it out and maybe stump up for some of the tyre cost due to premature wear. I'm sure they'll find some way to wriggle out of it though. Curious to see if I'm the only one.
  4. The rears are wearing unevenly on my 370. 2.5mm on the outer edge to 5mm on the inners. Tyres have done 16k. Both rears exactly the same. Fronts are wearing even. I'd have expected the inners to be wearing more if anything so is my geometry out? Any other 370 owners noticed the same?
  5. I've got the opposite on my 370 on the rears. Fronts are wearing even. Just had a quick measure and it's 2.5mm outer and 5mm inner. A big difference and both rears the same. Is this normal?
  6. Just been out and bought the game along with 72 cans of Becks Vier (tesco 3 x 12 packs for £20 deal, so good I bought £40 worth ) Can you add me as well, gamertag TESLA PHIL I'll be on it as soon as I can bail from work. Cheers
  7. Glad you found a good place and price. I'm just up the road at Kettering so another option for me thanks. Did they manage to keep your alloys damage free?
  8. Looking forward in seeing what you think of them. A good price for 4 tyres for a 370. Was thinking of sticking with the RE050As but they aren't cheap although I won't skimp on tyres. Keep us posted on how you find them.
  9. Absolutely LOVE the escort. Modern engines in classics works for me. You have a great job!
  10. Good to hear, it makes a change. I'm with Admiral but I'm going to give the forum insurers a try as I've a few more mods I'd like to do.
  11. Ok I must drive like a jessie! Agree on the sills, they do get peppered.
  12. +1 to the above. I've done 15K miles nearly, mix of town and dual carriageway. 27MPG. Still on the original tyres, reckon they rears will last to around the 20K mark. I do give it some welly but never light the tryes up.
  13. Not tried it as I'm still working my way through megs last touch but it's currently £2 in Asda along with loads of other products.
  14. Welcome...pics please with roof up and down!
  15. That bonnet looks damn good!...Much kudos attacking it with drills!
  16. I ran one of these as a shed for 20000miles in a year, paid 1800 for it and sold it a year later for 1400. Did absolutely nothing to it and it was faultless...and I gave it a fair old thrashing. Cheapest motoring I've ever had. Only sold it as I'd be doing less miles and the zed was gathering dust so started using that again as my daily driver. Has a cam chain so no worry about belts, I'd go for one of these over a saxo/corsa any day. Just normal checks for buying a used car needed I'm pretty sure these were found to be the cheapest used car to run 2 or 3 years ago.
  17. The scale of it all is amazing..fantastic pictures!
  18. Looks fantastic and welcome back. Does your wife have a sister?
  19. Quick warning, if you loved your zed before you will be totally smitten with it after the berks and the up rev. Totally transforms the level of torque all the way through the gears and the sound is incredible. Enjoy Hope you are right, hear nothing but good things about this so can't wait!!
  20. Good news Admiral ok'd the remap! Got an online policy update quote and put in engine chip + 10% as suggested and also let them know it's an uprev remap. An extra £20 on the policy.....happy days! Mark can you let me know when the berks are in and I'll book in for the remap package. Cheers Phil
  21. Good looking cars. Alfa are on a roll these days with their designs.
  22. Are you getting or have you already a cat-back exhaust? Yep catback fitted HKS Hi Power Ti (true dual), nice and rumbly now but the HFCs should take it to a new level I hope. All these HFC threads have pushed me over the edge! It would be nice to get the remap done at the same time though.
