What colour is the one you see around luton? Did i mention i live in flitwick, work in Kings Langely in the Day and Luton in the evenings lol. Im in luton every day
I only ever see 2, and both are on my communte to work, and even then i only see one of them a fortnight.
there's a red 350z and a black 350z around hemel hemstead while im on route to kings langley. Part of the attraction to the 350z is there not on every street corner
Your 55, how's your back?
Detailing cars on a regular basis can kill your back, i'm 24 and it kills me sometimes. Bending over cars (no puns) all day will hurt.
As redundancies go though, it could be worse, you could have had no notice and been in the job seekers line this time next week. gives you good amount of time to sort something.
Hopefully it works out for the better. Blessing in disguise
sounds like a good little kit, just make sure the backing plate is a soft foam one, solid backing pads are bad news in my book.
Having only one type of polish there limits things a tad, but its a mild cut so should cut and refine reasonably well at the same time. If you have a hard painted German car that needs cutting like mad you'll end up using highly abrasive pads and polishes, but you then need to refine the finish hence a second and possibly third polish to get a shine.
Good starter kit, you'll have to get some pictures up when you do it.
Oh dont forget the 3m low tack tape to mask plastics rubbers or edges.
Your order is a tad wrong.
Order should be:
Rinse
Snowfoam
Rinse
Wash (2BM)
Clay
Tape up and Machine
Rinse & Dry (removes excess left on car)
Lime Prime (Or any other pre wax cleanser)
Wax
I have given a bit of advise already about pads and polishes, specifically for newbies to the machining world.
Have a gander

that is going to look awesome! favourite rear bumper and one of my favourite fronts.
Ive lowered my zed god knows how far on coilovers, and i have grief with bumps and drives, so no way i can put a kit on it as is lol
its been nice cleaning the zed outside in the sun. Usually id give it a wash out side then move it into the workshop for drying cleansing waxing, getting wheels off to clean suspension etc.
As much as that its awesome its nice to have to sun shining down.
water out the kettle straight onto the badge, job done. takes 5 seconds, doesnt damage paint, and it works, I was hesitant at first with boiling water, but its what i used to get told to do at work on Range Rovers.
Hot water bottle sounds like a cracking idea though
Id personally get the whole set done, Pristine in Woburn Sands are one of the best, but thats near me, and you know how far that is lol. They acid dip, weld up kerbs, machine the welds back, re powder etc. come back like brand new front and back.
12x1.25 tapered seating is all you need. Although the add says Subaru, there still the correct ones.
These ones on the link are from the shop i work at in the evenings, lol. Great lockers and you also get a code in the pack that you keep at home so if you lose your key we can send you a new one next day (we hold all the spare keys in stock!) So no need to ever break them off
Remember to clay your car before you machine it, otherwise you will get the bonded containments pull off onto the pad and cause further scratches tot he paintwork. You want you paintwork 99.9% clean of any particles.
