  1. haha that would have been fun, when i broke it i was tempted to keep the engine and chuck it in a stripped out old xr2 or something. then id have had reasonable power to weight.
  2. Built it over several years as you do while a kid. Learnt everything i know about cars because of this, as i did everything myself bar a wheel bearing! ended up being 2.0 zetec on Jenveys, needed that to lug the weight around
  3. Pm'd you little while ago, need these to finish off the stance on my new wheels
  4. looks good, as for colour, looks fine to me tbh. Whats the specs of your Wheels
  5. using spacers like that means one of 2 things in my opinion. Either wide arches or using wheels off something like an Aston Martin as they have 5x114.3 but run very high offsets. even so 40mm should be enough to bring it into Nissan territory. I really wanted to fit Vantage V8 wheels to mine for a while lol

    My New Car

absolutely stunning! jealous... me... noooo Whats the insurance likely to be like on one of these. I take it all of them in the UK are imports?
  7. Um, not a clue. lol. if someone would be so kind as to measure there front and rear arch from the ground to the arch then i can work it out when i measure mine.
  8. just the usual roll the rear arches a bit.
  9. I work for a wheel company, part time in the evenings now (used to be full time) and Varrsteon are currently looking for UK distributors who will help their brand grow over here. But from what the big boss man said, it looks like a no go as we get our own wheels made anyway, no point trying to sell someone else's brand when we have 3 of our own.
  10. indeed i was and still would if the money is good enough, my sensible head is trying its hardest to beat the keep it and enjoy it, only young once attitude lol If someone wanted it either like this or in standard trim i would sell for the right price. As 350z's dont seem to shift easily right now, I will guess I am stuck with it for a while
  11. Finally bit the bullet and after trying so hard to resist the urge to modify any more cars of mine, (even though I already have a Buddyclub Exhaust and BC Coilovers) I bought new wheels for the car, thought as I nearly needed new tyres all round on the Rays anyway, why not buy new alloys (that and an early birthday present to myself) The wheels are: Varrstoen E2.2 in Satin Black Front 19x9.5J ET22 plus 20mm Eibach Spacer = +et2 Falken 452 - 225/35/19 Rear 19x10.5J ET22 plus 20mm Eibach Spacer = +et2 (think I am going to go 25mm Spacer on the rear to achieve -et3) Falken 452 - 245/35/19 Black Steel 19mm wheel nuts all round. (may change colour of these, any idea's?) Got these direct from Varrstoen in the Netherlands at a good price over the RRP as I work in the trade so managed to get trade price in the end. was very tempted to just get et0 all round with no spacers, but re sale (we all have to think of it) would be rubbish as not many people over here like stanced 350z's? Tell me if I'm wrong? Anyway the pictures, Its getting lower. lol. Fanta can has no hope lol. Comments welcome, good or bad
  12. I have bought some new wheels for my 350z, I am going for a bit more in the way of stance, but the 20mm dont push the wheel out enough, so if anyone has a pair 25mm spacers and wanted to go down to 20mm spacers, chance of a swap? Let me know what you have, and we'll see if we can do a deal. Just to clarify, mine are 20mm Eibach spacers and I am only looking to swap 2 spacers. Im based in Flitwick so if your local then we could meet up and swap there and then on the cars. So what you guys got? Thanks Terry
  13. Bodyshops are fecking useless! I spent 18 hours detailing a Bentley GTC only for it to hit a animal and crack the front bumper, goes into the bodyshop to be repaired, the whole car comes back out swirled and scratched to buggery!
  14. k1 was a shockingly bad fit, didnt sit straight, one tip sat wonky, one tip sat further out than the other. touched and vibrated the bumper would have eventually melted it im sure, touched under the car causing vibrations. Buddy Club = Quality! Thats why I got mine.
  15. 24 - Went from K1 to Buddyclub Pro Spec III Including the Y pipe. Standard Cats currently, simply because of money, exhaust is nice enough, cant justify £400 on HFC's. Couple of years ago I wouldnt have thought twice. lol. Guess I'm slowly growing up. Saying that I have just spanked £1350 on new wheels and tyres.
  16. what's wrong with just texting people. We all get free texts anyway.
  17. I'll bung mine in here as there's not one for mine. 24 - Bought a K1 as I wanted to do the exhaust on the cheap. You definatly get what you pay for, buy cheap, buy twice. Had it on for a couple of days, then went out and bought the Buddy Club Pro Spec III cat back inc Y pipe. Took the K1 off and sent it back demanding a refund. Worst fitting exhaust ever made. lol
  18. You think fitting a tyre on the wrong way is bad, a guy came into my old work for a set of new wheels to be fitted to his Dicsovery III, he just come from getting it serviced and new brakes at Land Rover. He said while he was hearing a funny noise while he was on his way over and if i could have a quick look while i was fitting the wheels. It turned out the technician at Land Rover (not some dodgy back street garage) fitted all 4 wheels worth of brake pads the wrong way round... As in the pad material was against the piston and the backing bit was against the disk. How do these people get employed and get to call themselves professionals...
  19. love it! I love orange cars, my last modified car was done orange/black. Well done, looks stunning
  20. 350z Engine Oil. What Grade and does anyone know the oil capacity (amount needed for a oil change) Before anyone says use the search button I already have, Google forum and so on, but I seem to find so many different suggestions. 0-40w, 5-30w etc. Am I right in saying it is 5-30w Fully Synthetic? Are there any manufacturers of oil worth avoiding? Any good brands worth considering (while taking a slightly ill looking bank balance into account) Sorry for asking probably the forums most regularly asked question. Thanks
  21. I broke my old escort show car thingy bob jobbie for parts, got quite a lot of cash out of that surprisingly, (i've never been one to have lots of money, crap jobs and that.) said to myself, right that's its, time to be sensible and save. 2 weeks after that I thought, well interest rates are crap, not worth earning 20p a month interest id find more down the side of the sofa, so may as well enjoy it. So ended up buying a 350z and once again I am back to being a poor sod really should start that saving lark... I then said I wont modify it. I wont modify it! 3 weeks later, coilovers and Buddy Club Exhaust... and what now, new set of wheels arriving any day. Double
  22. agreed yes its a free forum, so is detailing world though? They dont ask for payment from everyone wanting to show there work off. Dont worry I understand why you want to charge. I see both my side and your side of the argument well just leave it there. Yes i agree detailing has become the buzz word for cleaning. I wasnt trying to say you dont know what your doing, just occasionally annoys me people thinking they are detailers when there not, I dont see my self as one and I have been doing paint correction for few years now. Anyway hope you venture into it goes well. Any questions I'll try help (without seeming grumpy this time ) lol
