  1. Hey all, Do people on here use rain-x for the Z? if not, are there alternatives available? thanks Michael.
  2. One more question after using the birdview system, what's the green icon in the top left corner of the screen, it has what looks like a lightening strike as part of it and is green but sometimes turns yellow? Cheers. Michael.
  3. Ok then, we haven't picked her up yet, but her she is. Can wait to get behind the wheel of her tomorrow morning : these are the dealer pics so i'll post better ones up once we get home on sunday night and i give her a good clean. Michael.
  4. better looking then the Zed? havent got it yet, and even when we pick it up on saturday morning, it's technically my girlfriend's car, not mine, so the MR2 is still the best looking car I've owned.
  5. Excellent. Thanks alot guys, always helpful on here. great forum.
  6. cheers for the advice guys. is it 2 per remote then? we have 2 in the cubby hole in the middle of the car, if i remember rightly. oh, and what's the yellow button for next to the screen? cheers Michael.
  7. nice one narcotix, is it just 2 that is needed per remote? last question on it i promise cheers
  8. Hey all, just a quick question. What batteries does the remote control for the birdview system take? We pick the car up tomorrow morning and want to use the nav to get us from the garage to my parents house. Thanks michael.
  9. There's a v cheap and quick fix for that tbar problem you know. Nevermind. i read about it on the toyota forums but never really got around to sorting it. didnt have the car that long. Sold the clio 16v for it, and honestly got bored of the mr2 reasonably quickly (probably because i didnt know how to drive it properly) and got rid for another clio16v. dont get me wrong. by far the best looking car i have owned, but for the grin factor, the clio produced better results! Saying that though, I would have a tubby now that i'm a bit more mature and willing to learn how to drive a powerful rear wheel drive car.
  10. Really?! Did it leak? I love mine, off all the time in the summer (or winter with numerous layers!) yep, constantly, right behind the passenger seat would be a puddle if it rained hard enough. sometime had a wet seatbelt in the drivers side too. nice enough cars, but had much more fun in my 1.8 16v clios. just felt quicker, more planted, and actually more solid!!!
  11. i would have thought 3pts and a £60 fine is the norm mate. lucky you didnt get caught doing 60, isnt that a ban/suspension doing double the limit???
  12. Yeh Rev4 TBar Nice 2-will you let me know what the 350Z is like when it arrives (kind of a comparison with the 2?) EDIT-If you've already driven many...how does it compare?? Haven't driven them properly, but from what i can tell, bl00dy fast in comparison, but then i didn't really think the MR2 was that quick. it just feels like a proper sports car with plenty of go to match the looks. I definitely wont miss the T-Bar though, never did like it.
  13. Very nice mr2 mate, rev4 if I'm not mistaken??? Here is my old rev3:
  14. Hi and welcome mate. as a former MR2 owner myself and new to the Zed also you are making a good decision. We havent taken delivery of the Zed yet(that's saturday morning) but have driven about 7 so far. they are awesome. oh and as a former MR2 owner, let's have some pics of the 2 mate.
  15. Might be the angle of the photos but the car looks lower in photo 1 than in photo 3, it looks lop-sided!
  16. that's pretty sweet. Nice to see a company taking pride in their history and sharing it with the people that made it history, the customer.
  17. Ah! pretty obvious now i think about it!
  18. pardon my ignorance, but what is a P111??? Michael.
  19. Wow, thanks for taking the time to type all that out clb. Very helpful. Looks like cleaning the zed is going to be a begged job than cleaning the celica we currently have, that normally gets a wash with a bucket of hot soapy water and then chamoised off with a leather and that's it! So let me see if I get this right: 1. Wash the car with car shampoo? 2. Leather the car off? 3. Apply a product like dodo Juice? 4. Apply a sealant like red mist? How often should I do all this?
  20. yeah, it does have a bose! but if it does skip, what are they likely to do about it with them not being main dealer? anything? No but they should be knocking something off as it will cost for you to sort it. oh yeah having one of those days
  21. yeah, it does have a bose! but if it does skip, what are they likely to do about it with them not being main dealer? anything?
  22. Anyone??? Help a new guy, pleeeeeaaaaaase!
  23. done all of that mate thanks did it before we signed for it. The tires were the only thing that bothered me, not because they were worn, but because they are Sunew YS618's all round! I tried to get them to put decent shoes on but they were having none of it as all four corners were brand spanking new! those will be coming off as soon as the mrs gets enough together for the falkens. are there any other checks we should be doing before driving off in it?
