  1. Do my volks go any faster than normal wheels? In fact, does your carbon kit make the dash any more functional? No, we're both style hos I personally like my TH because it's well built and looks nice, same as my hamilton. I don't see why you'd need to show off either. Some people even collect watches, personally, I don't see why it's different to collecting anything else, except something like a rolex probably accrues in value.
  2. Either you need how to learn how to drive without the pedal to the floor constantly, or buy a derv if you're that worried about fuel.
  3. I dunno what zugaras rep was like, but it looked ok. That, motordyne or stillen are true duals.
  4. It's the lights I can't deal with. The zed is not a supercar, nor has the looks of one. If I'm spending 200k, I want something that looks as nice as a ford gt (then again, if you can afford 200k, presumably you can afford the 300k of the aventador, which is beautiful).
  5. Personally there are a lot of cars I prefer on looks, lambo aventador, zonda r, koenigsegg agera, saleen s7 etc etc. all double the price or more though. Nobody mentioned cost, in which case ford gt.

  7. Imho ferraris haven't looked good for some time. They don't do it for me, excluding maybe the 360 cs and the f40. Imho the f40 was the most attractive fezza.
  8. I thought it's quite simple, it's taken exactly like tax and ni, you don't generally have much choice in the matter? One reason it is so depressing to see bonuses, you start off with something and end up with pretty much f all Besides, if that's the loan payment on your bonus, the tax and ni must be eye watering
  9. Ricey, if this does nothing for you, I can't imagine what will
  10. I thought the v10 in the m5 sounds fantastic, especially with a set of aftermarket pipes. Tbh also the s54 in the m3 sounds good, with supersprint exhaust, however, it's a little pricey, like amuse titanium full pricey. Though i'm now thinking, the amount I've spent on mods on the z is probably more I'm yet to hear a porsche I like, though, the carrera sounds pretty nice iirc?
  11. I thought you were older martin I dunno what it is about people here and the need to badmouth traders at every chance even when they've offered to make good, I guess some people have nothing better to do? Martin seemed like a nice guy and personally I'd buy from him again, certainly helped when things were out of his control.
  12. Either. Both are within the limits.
  13. TBH 8 front, 9.5 rear are some odd sizes anyways. To me at least.
  14. Isn't 245/275 a bit fat for those wheels? I mean I know it's in the maximum limits, but maybe 235/265? I think the rolling radius difference is still within tolerance there and I believe it's closer between the front and rear axle that way too
  15. Twas a typo ekona I posted the 1979 not 1984 soga. But more for the sake of being not covered under Insurance and an invalid mot would not be a good thing, imo at least.
  16. I think for me, it's the fact that it would've failed an MOT if pulled over and that it may violate section 13 here: http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1979/54 I can't honestly say I would check the tyre sizes when leaving a garage to check that they haven't swapped them over (ok, so it would be impossible not to notice in my case, but when I had the 18"s it would have been possible). If I'd then have been pulled over by the rozzers for something else and they'd noticed, is it right to blame the driver? That been said, I think that you should be checking your car after every session briefly, tyre pressures, brief glance over fluids etc just to make sure you've duly checked anything that you can. I'd be seeing what the garage would have to say before doing anything though, but if they have misfitted wheels/tyres, maybe it should reflect poorly on them. Let's say they changed something which wasn't visible, such as springs, or didn't fit some suspension parts properly, would you really be checking those?
  17. I disagree, I'm not sure they would have performed safely in normal road conditions (if it interferes with tc, the diff and puts a lot of unneccessary heat on one side), but it would be more interesting to see from a legal standpoint.
  18. The brembos certainly aren't bad, I guess it depends on how much time you'll be spending at the track. The rays are very light, I think you need them or bigger for the brembo calipers. They're good wheels. I'd think of stripping out what you can, the zed is imo a bit of a porker.
  19. Yeah i'd be surprised if tc wasn't lighting up like a christmas tree.
  20. Oh my, off tyre sizes and delamination? Damn.
  21. I'm guessing, if you get any tyre hot enough there's a chance of that happening. I mean, I thought you needed to keep your eyes on tyre temperatures at the track? Very unlikely to have happened on the street i'd also have thought?
  22. To be fair, there's less to hit at santa pod
  23. Ey, what? It's torn apart You don't drift on the rims themselves do you?
  24. Which is why I was asking about tyre pressures before the start of the day Strange though, because I know my ps2's overheated on the m3 by a fair bit and big chunks of rubber were coming off, guess it depends on the compound and how even the heat is. I did learn from that not to reduce the tyre pressure at the beginning of the day, even though tracking adds a fair amount of pressure to it.
  25. I suggest you look at his photobucket account, the centre section of the tyre has separated from the sides, i.e. the tyre grooves to the outside. That is not a slow puncture. Here's the picture i was talking about
