  1. Menz certainly isn't bad, I'm just finding I'm getting on better with megs, it seems to be the happy halfway house between menz po106fa and menz po85rd3.02 and it seems to be easier to work.
  2. As above, though I used to use menz po106fa, but now I much prefer megs #80/#83.
  3. Has it got a steering fluid leak? Colour is ok, but I'd prefer something along tvr tuscan crazy colour lines.
  4. I know people like the tommy red badges, but I like the chrome z badge
  5. You'll get maybe slightly better results with machine as I believe it'll break down the compounds in lime prime better. Think I've even seen light correction from it being applied by machine. Think it works well imho however you apply it
  6. Oh man, thank you for pointing this out. Really should've checked it and alex did mention it but after a garage mentioned the rack I assumed it was only that Sorry alex Looks like a leak from the hoses on mine also.
  7. Iunno, I thought carpet overlay was ok for road noise? Seems to be the best thing is Mass Loaded Vinyl, but jute and/or underlay would presumably have some effect too? Brown bread is just lead sheeting IIRC and isn't going to have much effect on road noise, think dave will be able to confirm that.
  8. +1 You need either some hardcore 4mm+ deadening or a barrier. Dynamat is pretty rubbish tbh and overpriced. I wanted to go with luxury liner pro but it wouldn't fit under the spare
  9. Dynamat really doesn't make much difference with road noise. The equivalent from second skin does seem to help a little with exhaust drone though.
  10. You haven't mentioned polish? Did you get some? If you're polishing the zed by hand I hope you've got massive arms and a lot of patience
  11. If your budget allows I'd go along the lines of dodo lime prime then a dodo wax of your choice, but I prefer victoria concours for wax. Zaino z2 is also rather nice...
  12. It's an all in one product for when you're feeling lazy tbh and I believe it does offer reasonable protection and is good for hiding swirls (full of fillers) It's not strictly a polish although it's called so.
  13. One other thing, jdm performance are no longer trading as far as I'm aware. I'd be pm'ing alex though for brakes
  14. Yup ! It's blistered. It's a raised blemish. When i pressed it it cracked and paint fell off. Digusted. I wondered if anyone here might have an inside track on how I should proceed with Nissan. with the dealer or direct with customer services? Bugger Surely the dealer you got it from?
  15. Pictures? You sure it's past the clearcoat? Clay bar/paint cleanser would be first port of call if you haven't tried them already.
  16. That is pretty darn nice, loving the concavity of the rims also
  17. Depends on what you're after. Of course there are things more special but they have a price tag to match and I bet I'd be damned if I could tell the difference between a pot of zymol vintage and dodo supernatural.
  18. F me, 3 threads? I don't know much, but I seem to recall bad egg smell being cats?
  19. What pads are they out of curiousity? I'm personally not a fan of ebc, but apparently they've changed their compounds at least. May be worth just trying some different pads rather than discs as well. I had issues with yellowstuff on drilled rotors, but maybe you'd be ok with their newer compounds? However, personally from that experience and seeing some pictures of pads disintegrating I'd be trying something else like ferodo/endless/performance friction/dixcel.
  20. That's cool, no worries where did you get your dixcels? from? Never heard of that make lol Indirectly from dixon motorsport. MWTech supplied me them http://www.dixcel.co.jp/en/rotor_fcr.html
  21. Tools will drive like tools no matter what they're driving. Just means it's more expensive for them if they crash something which costs more.
  22. I don't want to step on toes, but quite honestly, the oem brembos are rubbish compared to the dixcels at least and i'm guessing it would be similar with the ferodos. I wouldn't want to put them back on. My dixcels did seem to have a slight squeak until they were bedded in though, but they've been fine since.
