  1. I've got a box in matching size in the same area with a jl 10w3v3 in it, it's properly jammed in and the flappy bose plastic grill cover needs felt pads
  2. You'll be lucky to get something more than this in there: viewtopic.php?p=411209#p411209 It's still not ideal putting a sub there, as stuff does rattle.
  3. I think you'll find this should answer your question: http://my350z.com/forum/3186967-post458.html Though I want some project kics for mine
  4. This handbook right? http://www.diy.icydesigns.com/manual/29 ... SM/brc.pdf
  5. That's hardly stretched then. If you're saying 9.5" square, 285 at the rear seems a bit too fat tbh. I guess you could run through the technical handbook, seems to have masses of stuff on tc.
  6. What width is the front wheel? Incidentally, I doubt it's the tyre sizes being that close.
  7. Odd that, only 1.3% off the front and 0.6% off the rear. 30 on the rear on that size wouldn't be brilliant. I guess maybe your front is a little bit off but i'm not sure that's really the issue here? What about running 255 at the front?
  8. I found it kicked in too late and you ended up much worse off because of it TBH it was better in the M3, though, it's still too interfering half the time.
  9. I like them Sort of like mustardy popcorn
  10. Im thinking the gtechniq stuff, I hope 15ml will do the wheels once over? http://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/gtechniq/c5-alloy-wheel-armour.aspx?source=google-base&variant=4386 Ooo gord, I don't remember now, all I remember is that I had plenty left over 15ml apparently will be enough to do the faces, but iirc I sealed inside the barrel and the faces, then wasted however much on the polished dish (don't do this, they're bare metal so it won't stay). Think I must have got 25ml. Really cool stuff though
  11. Fair enough. Didn't really stand a chance with the phone. I'll try and get a better video soon I don't think it's the thrust bearing, that seems to make more of a whine generally, this is more a clattery/graunching noise
  12. Get a whining/clattering sound when I reverse, maybe giving it a tiny bit of revs before lifting the clutch, but the key seems to be letting the clutch out fairly quickly (don't believe it happens in any other gear) No slippage from the clutch whatsoever and no chatter from the clutch. Where it sounds whiney here, I think it fails to pick up on a rattley noise. Clickable video below: Any ideas?
  13. Get the most durable wax you can get for the wheels. Generally that's fk 1000p or colly 476. However, what really works best for the spokes since they're painted is something like gtechniq wheel armour
  14. That's great, but how will you explain it to insurers when you accidentally lose it? Incidentally, does turning it off really mean it's properly off or is there still some jiggery pokery going on with it "off"?
  15. How's your hearing? Even this was... enough... from japex back to home
  16. Pff, I've still got my hearing Not sure i'd keep it for long with a single exit
  17. They are very nice But.. how about some dressing on the tyres?
  18. I'm guessing yours doesn't sound like this though http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v236/ ... riveby.mp4 http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v236/ ... erkhfc.mp4
  19. How does your hearing fare on long trips? Just found it a little... loud going around the m25/a11
  20. Yeah they mentioned that in the clip. Just a shame I have about however many other noises currently too
  21. Interestingly I haven't heard mine from behind, but I can't hear any rasp in the videos. I wonder whether it is just rattling against something and it just sounds different at 4k revs...
  22. There's a bit of rasp, then there's the nismo + berk hfcs currently. I'm still in two minds about them. The rasp is what put me majorly off the M3 in the end. I like the added volume, but ~4k it gets pretty darn raspy and that's all you can hear, inside or out. Interesting smell too, I was expecting maybe a slight petrol smell but that isn't what you get. Crikey, I've also gotten this at ~2k revs too:
  23. Now got berk hfcs with the nismo, just wondering, do the two together automatically equal a fair bit of rasp? Seen some go down the route of pairing it with the motordyne xyz w/resonator to remove the rasp. Cheers
