  1. Looks good, may be the one I saw parked in Bristol a couple of times which helped egg me on to buy my Z!
  2. Cheers, Just as a pointer it seems both work! Micro SDHC have higher capacities eg the 8gb I went for a really nice run out and although there's a 1.2 gb file on the card it seems vlc can't open it, although I can record short clips fine.. hmmm
  3. heheh we mean the same thing, I haven't used it as in it's not been up!! roof down round town, roof down on the motorway, roof down on some private land doing 120+ and it was still totally fine with the roof down! Best thing is on the warmer evenings, roof down when it's dark!
  4. Hi Mate, I am 6'6". I don't know the headroom measurements but, having sat in the Coupe a while ago (and I now own a Roadster) I think the Roadster has even more headroom than the Coupe! The Roadster is fine for headroom, I can sit up straight in it. Thinking back, the Coupe had full leather seats whereas mine are leather with the vented mesh which might be a bit more "bucketed" than the full leather, so try both. Having bought the car 2 months ago I've only used the roof a couple of times anyway!!! No idea on the airbag sorry. Good luck
  5. Just got 2 in the post can anyone tell me, do you need regular SD cards or SDHC which seem more widely sold now? Preferably asap because I want to mess about with this kit! Thanks
  6. Had my eye on Zs for ages, not only are they damn sexy, but they really hit the sweet spot of performance vs price vs quality/looks which actually makes them liveable with and realistic Problem was, I couldn't drive (lay off, I lived in the city and never got round to it!!) anyway, I passed my test and one year later I was out in the countryside, roof down, foot buried in the carpet, ears drinking in that sweet rising exhaust note round some twisties up a hill! (that was this evening! )
  7. Well all i am asking is "Is it safe?.. Is It Safe??" (marathon man) You've scared me off messing around with the nut, it would be an absolute disaster if the handbrake stopped working so I'll just leave it as it is at the moment and get it fixed next time she's in the garage. *Unless* someone can give me a handy guide to adjusting the nut behind the ashtray and suggests it's safe!! Thanks for all the answers
  8. Thanks guys I mean the nut behind the ashtray - I'm going to get stuck in there with some pliers tonight and see what happens - all I can find in this and other forums is people saying "2 minute job" without saying how!
  9. I use the Sony tape deck connector to my bose head unit - really good sound quality (much better than FM that I have tried) and it costs.... £10 (and installs in.. 2 seconds) Even better, when the iphone is linkied up to the bluetooth and I get a call, the iphone fades out the music for the duration of the call In no rush to change from this setup any time soon!
  10. Aye, just points to the service manual but I'm afraid I'm too thick to understand the service manual!
  11. Hi, Before I get torn apart for posting when you may think there is already an answer out there, please read carefully! The handbrake on my Z needs adjusting - currently I have to give it a really firm pull to make sure it sticks, and this doesn't exactly fill me with confidence when leaving it parked on a hill etc. I have a basic toolkit and have seen the nut under the ashtray that we are supposed to adjust - but can someone possibly give me a really clear step-by-step guide to tightening the cable please? I have seen the service manual instruction but that seemed ambiguous to me. I can't get this wrong and leave it not working because I regularly park on a hill! Thanks in advance
  12. Seen yesterday, first Roadster I've seen in Bristol.. except for mine! Nice car.
  13. Sony tape thing works a treat better sound quality than an FM thing.. sounds as good as CD if you get the volume right on your iPod (about 75%) - if you were handy with a drill you could run the wire out of sight to the centre storage box too
  14. Nice one mate, now get the roof down, go and find the longest tunnel you can and launch it from 10mph in 2nd gear
  15. cheers mate, my first go ever at doing anything more than wash & wax it was wash, clay, polish, wax, gloss sealant.. need to find somewhere out the way next time so my neighbours don't think I'm mad spending 2 hrs "washing the car"!
  16. Update: after a little bit of polishing :
  17. I used the washmit and about 3 packs of the microfibre cloths.. thought they were OK.. the best thing was there was so many of them so constant fresh ones when needed! check out the results:
  18. Fun driving around wales this weekend, what an awesome car! It's covered in greenflys and stuff at the moment so not going to bother putting any fresh photos up until it's clean. I've put up one of the seller's photos so you can see what I've got.. Awesome car, and awesome weather for it yesterday. Looking forward to many more days like it this summer!
  19. Got it! Off to the Brecon Beacons this weekend for a [very careful drive].. will try and get some photos Thought I heard the "axle tick" the other day and I was like but it's not reappeared since, touch wood, fingers crossed. Handbrake needs a little tightening too but that looks easy (anyone who's done it can they confirm that you just tighten the nut because the nissan datasheet on this seems to way overcomplicate it.. remove a wheel?!)
  20. Well, I just bought a black uk 05 roadster GT.... Can't wait to get the keys some of the trim is orange so I guess I can keep this name
  21. Good bit of advice thanks! I'll see what's coming up soon.. maybe japfest at Combe if I haven't bought by then... Had a look at the roadsters on the sales board.. that black import is a beaut but.. for some reason I think I read they don't have auto levelling headlights which is a uk requirement for zenons.. I guess I need to start researching this stuff!
  22. Thanks all there seems to be a Bristol contingent and that's my patch so no doubt check out a meet.. once I've made the purchase
  23. Evenin' all, I'm pleased to say after a couple of years of wanting one, it's just a matter of 2-3 weeks before I go out and grab a Z .. thought I'd sign up to a couple of forums and have a nose around what people say to look out for when buying... Research suggects I can afford something in the year 06-08 40-60k miles territory.. Aim is to get the roadster model too.. Any buying tips welcome but for the meantime I just thought I'd say hello!
