  1. Needs a potty or a pissbag holder + beer fridge.
  2. I kinda like it reminds me its my jap import muscle car! May hook up some missiles and machine guns to them!
  3. Have a search, there is a section on imports. parts=same, tax=same(in most cases, dvla tried to tax me more since it was imported after 2006 but managed to inform them its a 2003 car so pay what UK cars pay). insurance aint much more(for me with admiral) All imports have different spec, best to search and ask what brakes etc the car has.
  4. Measure once, twice, three times.... ohh sod it, that will do As the picture shows I made the bracket a bit small but have always had the intention of using some 3M carbon wrap to cover it so not too bothered as eventually it will hide the gaps at the sides.
  5. great work, looks even more of a pain to work on than a Z.
  6. That fish slap smiley made me spit my coffee out laughing I've never had a reason or been quick enough to use it, feels good
  7. Why not twin charge! super + turbo and then add nitrous! More info would be nice about your car and aims otherwise don't expect much help
  8. easy, two bolts to loosen and two pins to remove! i used a small vice and some wood to push the piston back.also a little copper greese for the back of the pads, job done!
  9. Cheaper also didn't want to get confused with my digital boost gauge that looks very similar to your ones. If sh'@ hits the fan I know which gauge to look at lol
  10. It works fine , in future when the manual looks wrong I should question it rather than throw it down and say 'I am a man and manuals are for wimps' as most Ikea buyers do. Sitting at a healthy 14.5ish when idling, then decreases when you blip the throttle.
  11. So after Keyser spotted I had been sent the wrong instructions, I wired up those spare 2 wires to a power source and my world lit up (well the gauge did) I could have wired it up like the manual suggests but wasn't bothered with the needle re-zeroing after turning the ignition off so saved a bit of hassle by joining them all to an single ignition power source. Bit gutted that the orange back light didn't match the oem gauges in the Z so just keeping it red.
  12. Nearly forgot, THANK YOU! Got two games of Ice hockey tomoz so if I get a chance I will hook it up without the illumination and see what happens.
  13. Unfortunately its an aftermarket stereo so will have to borrow a multi meter to figure out which power wire is live only when the lights are on Also looks like I will have to run a live wire direct from the battery to the gauge as I presume the power wire I was using is ignition operated (used to be a camera screen) and I need a new 5amp fuse and carrier(where's the best place to get one as I would prefer to keep using car fuses.) Just reading the instructions now, looks like I wont need that cable all the way from the battery
  14. Installation manual for 30-4100 but my box says 30-5130 tubes.
  15. Would have been nice if they had given me those instructions! Think I had the same ones you gave me originally. Where did you get these from? wonder why you need so many power wires?? going to have to hunt for another 5amp fuse and splice in the grey to something lol
  16. its not a 4 pin its an 8 pin ??? Thats whyim confused as there is also pink and brown wires! 2red,2black,1white,1blue/grey,1pink,1brown! the two reds are joined into one about an inch after the connector same as black = must be power for the gauge and sensor all other wires are not in use.
  17. Tarmac got me them, have given him an email and have also sent one to AEM.
  18. It was all plugged in when I first tried it then removed the sensor and just tried the power wires over the hyundi battery = still nothing. Display showed 6pm position always. Bit worried now as have been reading you shouldn't leave the sensor in the exhaust when its not plugged in as it has a heat element in it to burn off crap. Means the car is immobile I have the boost gauge also, might try it across the hyundi battery. The wiring diagram mentions a blue wire (in my case it is grey) and there are brown and pink wires that are not mentioned??
