Just to update, my other catch tank arrived today with a bag of skittles in it so the guy is just having a hard time at the moment but keeps his word.

Just took off the connections on the fuel reg to help give a better seal, what are your thoughts? Used ptfe tape on the threads of the two tapered ones but the plastic washers are useless and only fit on the wee vacuum pipe connector so had to improvise with the blue bung as there was no washer with it so reused one of the old injector washers, just managed to push it over the threads but should do the job. Going to be a pain to check the other two connections cos I can't remember which ones has washers Also my other catch tank arrived with a bag of skittles so thanks to rutland motors guy.

Impressive as always

Unburnt fuel in the exhaust, nothing to worry about probably. Does the car still have cats?

Just updating the first page, Uprev GT MAF also arrived the other day thanks to Abbey Motorsport. Hope to sort the fuel regulator and fit the intake piping for the supercharger at the weekend along with moving stuff so the intercooler will fit. Need some more satin spray paint to finish off the front pipes that will connect to the cooler.

Not all JDM's have a viscous diff, best way to check is axle stands and try turning one wheel and see if the other turns the same direction.

WTF . . . I think this bloke is mental . .

Oh dear. Right I'll up the clarity of comms and at least see if I can get my cash back. Good luck, I will hold off till Friday afternoon then I will contact Paypal as you have to make it known to them within 40 days I think for them to act on anything. As I said its a shame as its a good product and price. May end up modifying the 15mm fittings to fit the smaller hoses of the driver side as its more important as I will be venting the other side to atmosphere anyway.
-
I ordered two, one turned up and the other didnt, been emailing him lots, finally said I was contacting paypal and he got back to me saying he is having personal problems and if I dont get my other catch tank by the weekend I will get a refund, tis a shame as the first one looks good but also the less important one fittings wise =/

Local Nissan dealer?

Cheers dude, Need the worm gear clips for my catch tank and its pipes but glad I dont need it for the vacuume lines as I have bought some t-connectors to link the plenum, fuel pressure reg, vortech bpv and boost gauge together, will it be fine to run them all off the same line and connection at the front of the plenum which is blanked? I presume the pressure drop will be negligable. Thanks for the heads up about the tape also, I am pritty sure they will only use the stuff that works with fuel/oil as it leaks into our water systems most of the time anyway lol.
-
Only way to tell is when your flow sheet arrives, as long as they all look similar, they should be fine, unfortunately mine only says high impedance coil type so I dont have a number to give you in comparison to your 15.1 ohms

My 600cc Deatschwerks came with a cc/min chart for each injector, tested at 43.5 psi aswell all with a +/- 1% Voltage 7-17 Volts and the latency data for that range of between 3.3-1.1 millisec

The pressure adjuster is not a tapered thread, so don't put any tape on that! It should be in two places - the gauge thread and the small npt thread where the boost/vacuum tube is, the silver tube just below the adjuster. Ahh I see what you mean now, it came attached so presumed it would be fine at least I am more confident about how that works etc so happy to remove it and wrap it with tape. Where did everyone buy their small worm gear/ jubilee clips from? Struggling to find ones small enough for the vacuum lines.
-
Sounds interesting will you try and mount it to the lower intake manifold or will you try something with the lower plenum to mount on? At least it will sound better than the centrifugal type charger not sure about hp wise tho? Gd luck and welcome

330cc I think is stock in DE engines.

Thanks Sam, I had said to my dad that it looked tapered and he shot me down Glad its ok, will pinch some tape from work and I will have a look at the fittings as im sure the blanking bung doesnt have a washer (the white nylon ones are too small so may use one off the old fuel injectors as they should fit) I presume I can add the tape to the pressure adjuster without removing it? i.e. I will need to screw it down to get it near 52psi as it will be set to max from the factory? Cheers again always glad for input

That's why I am expecting a leak if it happened to you it will be 10x worse for me lol, The nylon washers I think are too small for the blanking plug but will check. I use ptf tape at work with much more corrosive and nasty oils so it should be fine with the fuel, also the blanking plug they supply comes with it just worried about the gauge, not sure if I will just use ptf tape and force it in for a worst case scenario.

Inevitable, going the FI way -= NOW DONE -= update 13/05/2013

Why don't you just use bruno to pull your car, probably faster than adding a supercharger Thanks for the explanation on the gearbox mount, looks neat -
Self taught idiot, altho have studied a bit of engineering and play around with the fitters at work hiting @*!# with hammers. Its all trial and error, I am expecting a few minor leaks when I turn the ignition to prime the pump lol.(need to pinch some sealent for the gauge but will check the thread with some other bolts to see which part is the problem.)

Whats the black thing on the far right? Looks like an engine mount or something? Did you deploy the nails from the back of the car along with other james bond gadgets to hamper bennett? Lol -
No instructions there are some on the net but they are for the full system including rails, so you have to guess a bit, lets say I have two nylon washers which I have no idea where they go

Ran out of paint for the pipes so got round to doing some other things New and old injectors (old one is missing the o-ring which I later found hidden in the engine bay ) One new injector installed, the clips that hold them in place are not as good a fit as the oem injectors as they dont have the groove to slide into, but they should still do the job. Old thing and new thing which goes in its place for the return system. New injectors fitted Lines all fitted after a good tip from Keyser Fuel pressure regulator in place using self tappers altho I have an issue with the gauge not screwing into the regulator not sure if the threads are wrong as they dont look damaged (small gash on the gauge threads but shouldnt cause the issue, The regulator comes with a plug in it with some pte tape but it wasnt all the way in and can't seem to thread it in either for the moment the gauge is in three or so threads but dont fancy forcing it in case it strips threads. Wouldn't even know the difference unless you looked hard. Piping and charger bracket next week.

You will have to remove the whole hub to change the bushes, as I said I only did it cos I was doing the work myself for the first time and struggled to get the bolts free. The standard suspension has the nut welded onto the shock and over time it can fuse like mine which ment I had to cut the fork at the bottom of my oem shock as the bolt was solid. If I had the money I would go polybushes all round. Are you doing the job yourself? If it is a garage they will probably have better tools than me and more experience so you could get away without changing the bushes.
-
Just went for new standard bushes from ZMANALEX if I remember right, also got new bolts as most of mine were rusted = damaged bush when I got ****'ed off trying to remove them. Plenty of adjustment so you can find some setting you will be happy with. I tend to change mine depending on journey or if the missus is in the car
