  1. What caused the belt to snap in the first place? power steering pump ok? pulley move freely? your tensioner is probably a bit rusty, you could take the pulley off and have a look? just one nut holding it on.

Its more to aid cooling, baffles are just a plus really but thanks for the idea, spacer and weld baffles would be good, not really needing extra pick up or oil drain holes so probably aiming at stillen or a spacer. Thanks everyone for the input.
  3. Not sure if I have ever heard that song or remember it, well until I went on youtube, I can see your predicament Not long and I will be done........ maybe 2 more months, you could try this song?
  4. I think when he bought the car the previous owner had the same issues of the couplers being too short, I know DarrenB's got longer couplers as he had problems too.
  5. Hope you get better soon and sorry to hear about having to sell the car, was looking like being a good one!

Looking to buy a baffled sump, whats everyones opinions? APS would be nice, japspeed is cheap... Whats inbetween or easy to come by?
  8. Unless ive put the thing in upside down?(pritty sure I tried the otherway = Fail) You have longer couplers with yours so that will give you more play. Going to make another bracket for that side of the intercooler and one for the bottom of the power steering cooler using its old brackets hopefully. Thanks for having a look, I would love to put another bracket on the pipe but dont have welding gear at home =(
  9. I know the oil tankers that deliver gear oil etc to my work are divided up so I am guessing regular fuel ones are too, bit of a safety thing like the titanic I suppose too I would rather put £5 of regular in and drive slow to another garage than run out, but so far I've only ever used super.
  10. Some pipes sprayed black and some black couplers.

  16. Personally I think it looks sweet! why downgrade the brakes?
  17. Nice work guys love it when people improvise!
  18. Did some more work on the car today, started off bad and got more challenging lol, Tried to pull the vortech couplers over my maf pipe..... they don't fit, ended up breaking one of the corners off it. Got the super glue on the go to try fix it, may look at getting someone to fabricate up a new larger maf pipe and new black couplers. Wired up my boost gauge Only to find the cable was a bit short so had to use up most of my vacuum pipe to bridge the gap round the firewall to connect it to the fuel regulator and plenum. Then removed the mounting brackets for the power steering cooler and fiddled it around to try get it to fit, didn't use the described way that vortech suggests as my radiator is probably going to be upgraded soon as the fins fall apart when you touch then so putting cable tie type things through them to hold it would be a bad idea also couldn't get the pipes to bend that way. Mounted the intercooler. Dam pipes/cables in the way! Wires infront? could be an issue with the belt from the charger? Wires behind, hope the strut bar fits. Yes I know the maf pipe is upside down but it still needed glueing and was just temp to see how the whole lot fits.
