  1. Dremel bought, fuel leak solved! When I had cut the hole for the return line it was not a smooth flat surface on the underside of the carrier so the seal was poor (my bad!) took it out today and with the new dremel made a much better surface and the two nylon washers are now flush with each side. No more stinking of petrol! Went for a drive after.... my dad's word's "I have never been in a car this fast!" only got to 6psi lol taking it easy with my new grim reaper of a car. Also that bypass valve is soo addictive!
  2. Don't know didn't have a front bumper on so couldn't test it on the roads down in leeds and only got home 2 hours ago! All I can say is it doesn't stall any more, likes to drive, air/ fuel seems good. Well..... I did give it a half boot in the carpark to which I shat myself and Speckey (the nutter mechanic with a corsaru and fastest fwd tigra (look it up if you can)) laughed at the face I made
  3. The brakes are a bit small for those wheels but.... I quite like it, apart from the hulks ( farting, who has two ass holes) nostrils after a big sneeze!
  4. Should keep me happy for a while once I fix the leak, then maybe 3.12 pulley and trip to abbey Since I can drive the dam thing now
  5. Well today was a long day. Set off at 7am arrived just after 12pm. A nice welcome puddle at the front of our transporter as it had just split a pipe and emptied its coolant! Got on the phone to the guy we hired it off to be told RAC are on there way, anyway problem fixed (burst oil filter heater connection? so he bypassed it and all was good). As for my car... took a while to get on the rollers due to RS having a new titanium exhaust fitted to their R35 GTR! which they have only had for a few weeks. Car went on rollers, I fitted the GT maf and they tried to upload a base map as my import 03 does not have real time mapping?? (04- after do) so the car was running like poo. Started to get it going good, sounds great but did stay on the dyno for too many pulls (8 in total) not surprised as it was doing a nice wee on the floor not sure how the smell didnt over power Paul! Traced the leak to the fuel return line where it goes though the fuel pump housing (the nylon washer and o-ring were not keeping the pressure in (anyone know what pressure the fuel tank goes to?) so it was bubbling out from there. Got a safe quick tune of 428.2hp 370FtLb at the fly up from previous 278.9hp 270FtLb. those numbers are 358.6whp at a safe 0.6bar or 8.7psi AFR drops down to 11.5 at wot.
  6. Vortech V3 Sci, 3.33 pulley, stock engine, Boosted 20 miles, 0.1 in anger 428.2hp 370ftlb (flywheel) 358.6 real whp 0.6bar while doing a pee on the dyno = quick tune
  7. Nice work mate, I prefer your under body colour scheme, red/black compared with someone's green/yellow/red
  8. Well the ING's front bumper is the biggest pain in the ass for ramps! Tried using lots of planks of wood to reduce the incline but no luck, this is where she will sit until 6.45 am. Saves the hassle of scraping it off RS rollers like last time Getting very good at taking the bumper off without snapping the plastic clips also I now know the wheels dont have to be off either
  9. wish I had been there! What was going on with the guy jacking up his wing lol.
  10. Who's is the black and white wrapped one? Any more pics? Looks interesting
  11. Had a nice chat with Sky and Adrian Flux, both quotes were similar. Much more competent with insuring modifications (and speaking english ) very impressed when the rep from Sky asked what supercharger it was and its cost. Going to wait till I've contacted a few more company's next week and had a response from Admiral (hopefully with some money). but its looking good for having the car on the road for Stirling next weekend
  12. You can either get it done at the dealer or with an uprev remap. Not sure if you can do it yourself.
  13. Have you checked the rest of the piping for leaks / loose connections? had a similar jump experience once when a connection was loose.
  14. Just hope I can sort this for next Thursday when the car goes to get tuned
  15. P.S. Ricey you can de-sauce your balls
  16. Well after thinking I had got away with a steal Admiral have got back 10 days later and say they cant insure me Ive had two phone conversations confirming everything was ok and covered and also sent an email now someone has said no! The reason? they do not insure more than 5 modifications , no where does it state this, also got fob'ed off when asking to speak to a manager so emais have been sent to the complaints department. Going to phone a proper insurer tomorrow, SKY (if they are open). Also plan to try and claw back some money from Admiral because they have let me drive around since april last year with more than 5 mods, so by their words I was uninsured! Fingers crossed I have the money to afford the unplanned years insurance costs
  17. No point going straight to the max then having no room to improve/bending a rod. Just a couple bhp will do fine........ just now.
  18. Bit the bullet, I have hired a car transporter to take the Z to RS tuning next week. Probably would cost similar to drive her down the way she is running at the moment fine at 30-40mph but on the motorway she sucks! and vomits fuel out the exhaust so bad I was getting worried looks from other motorists saves the spark plugs from fouling too. Just hope I am happy with the results or the 3.12 pulley will be bought
  19. Was it busy? Looked like a really nice day. What kinda times were the Z's getting?
