  1. Did you reinforce the rear top mounts now that you have a true coilover setup compaired to the separate spring and shock setup?
  2. At least you are honest, don't think I would do any of the mods without a daily driver on standby. Think Chubby Ninja got caught out a few times and had to do all nighters to have the car ready for his commute. The headers are DC sports, same as the exhaust. There was a small lol (2ppl) group buy the other week, had been looking at them a while but forgot how expensive they were so any money off was a bonus. Got a trip to canada later on so plan on picking the expensive parts up then or in the case of the above bodykit save a small fortune and have it shipped over.
  3. The whole reason I did this thread was to encourage people to do stuff them selves. The only thing over the entire build that worried me was the fuel leak, I am not the first to have one and wont be the last but if you have a bit of common sense you can tackle any job on these cars. There are that many good (better than this jibberish) write up's on vortech installs you will find a way to over come any problem you encounter. If you can work somewhere dry/warmish and dont rush you will really enjoy installing the parts yourself. My only regret is not having any mates close by that are mechanically/car minded as a beer after work and working on cars is my ideal of heaven..... think I am just describing the end scenes from fast and furious films or the zshed.
  4. also might have fallen in love with this....
  5. I haven't seen any self help groups about it and the twitching when I see car parts is totally unrelated. Some shiny manifolds came last week but obviously don't have a problem as the pictures aren't up yet. =p
  6. how can you have more at the wheels than hub? I presume you mean flywheel.
  7. Yeah it screws on and off, only thing to worry about is losing the o-ring that helps it seal. It's clear plastic so you can't break it. Think I was losing 1-2psi in boost through the dam thing at the bottom.
  8. Superglue and a larger spring/rubber washer can be used to make the rutland motors catch tank seal better at the bottom, or a tapered rubber plug otherwise it will draw air in from the bottom and blow oil out when in boost. But for the money/size they are hard to beat.
  9. Can't beat a tantrum when tools/cars misbehave lol.
  10. Just on the off chance, how much would a single 3.12pulley cost Chris? (Since you are placing a bit order with vortech might as well ask) Thanks
  11. gutted for you mate, front bumper was looking nice. But as above its only metal and plastic and can be repaired, might want to take your mods off if they are still in good shape unless the insurers want to keep them (i.e. find your own repair garage.)
  12. Getting serious now Finally able to listen to more stations than radio 1, also not sure where I put my chrome shiii,ty aerial when it came off for cleaning. Probably the first mod people do but one of the last for me........... well maybe not last. If anyone knows of a Do- luck front bumper send a PM my way as the oem has outlived its welcome
  13. Thanks for the stubbie aerial Chris, quick delivery and another happy customer who can now listen to more than just radio 1.
  14. have a look inside your plenum for lots of oil, do you see smoke on start up/full throttle? might as well rule out the other things first.
  15. bummer, I hate being at work this looks good ( Well the photoshop edition does )
  16. That's some weird noises! Probably banana arm, but sounds a lot worse than mine. Didn't realize there was a Nissan high performance center in Glasgow? Only one I know of is Edinburgh. Take it to infinity Glasgow, they recently fixed someones on here.
  17. At 17, I bought first copy of max power with nemisis 350z front cover car after that it was my dream to own a modified version, now I want an Aston but won't sell my zed unless I have to, no rush to tick another dream off as it's nice to look forward to things and hope.
  18. 1. Zedologist (Alex) 2. Evilscorp 3. 4. 5. Only issue is I live not far from funky power and would prefer to pick up from their shop also pay direct to them (no offense mate but I have been stung by newish members before) Also bought my dc sports exhaust off them can't complain as I like it but is raspy around 60mph with decats but burbbly at lower rpm.
  19. Well done, glad it's worked out better this time around. But generally I wait till the fat lady sings before I celebrate =)
  20. For someone that doesn't like Porsche styling, the new ones look brilliant.
  21. Take ur time and post photos if you can, best of luck to you. Always wise to have spare transport incase u need a trip fo buy bolts.
  22. Sooooo much want! If someone makes a replica bumper for the 350z first dibs *someone get on this now*
