  1. Probably the most stable and oldest tuners on here.
  2. Elongated the toe bolt holes for spc adjustment bolts, didn't fancy cutting until the cam spins 360* so halved the size of the template removal, should be more than enough since mine is lower to a usable level not slammed like the show cars Then I stuck the stub shafts on the diff and disregarded health and safety while lifting the diff into place not the nicest place to be, under a heavy ass lump of metal while shoving it into place and trying to tighten bolts. I then attempted to refit an axle and driveshaft but its definitely a two man job. After that I had to get the missus dinner ready as its her second hen night not sure how she gets two but mehh! Beer run was made and two mates told to meet in pub later for some old man ale, yum. Tried to lengthen the eibach camber arms and SPL traction arms but I didn't have a spanner big enough and only one adjustable so will need to take a trip up to my parents and borrow my dads. That also lost me some time as I had to go buy a fathers dad present (hope you lot havent forgot!) ended up getting him some laser measuring device he wanted, also bought a laser spirit gauge for him (he had asked for the first one but then thought they would both be handy to get some sort of alignment on the car to its not crabbing up to Infinity garage in glasgow to get the real one done)
  3. Yeah I am the same there are a few threads I wait for the next instalment like a kid at Christmas. Then there are others who hide all their effort and don't show us their toys (zmanalex, gt4zed to name two =p )
  4. Yeah midges, little flying bas$&@ that I have never written or clearly spelt before lol. Cheers dude, think you are the only one who reads this thread lol.
  5. Empty Half Full Just need to stick the stub shafts in, but midgys stopped play Had such a fun day but didn't take many photos, paint pen wasn't very good for checking ring gear tooth contact so ended up using spray on lithium grease which worked better, run out was also not the easiest to check but a combination of my bore gauge and micrometer did the trick.
  6. remove plastic cover on top and look, but you should be able to spot it even when its on. Does yours look like this on the top front aluminum bit? If so its a non-revup engine if not....
  7. Both exhaust and intake cam gears stick out at the front of the block, non-rev up only has one sticking out. Rev-up= Non-rev up
  8. Gardens and nice weather, what a waste of time! But you have to keep the missus on side Once I was set free I rebuilt the new KAAZ lsd, thankfully my neighbour was in as I needed his vice again to fit the ring gear bolts. Yet again lack of tools made fitting the new bearings take longer but found a thing out of my dent/gear puller thing that was the right size to use in the press(black cone shape bit). Used a small die to sit on the other side so not to damage the other bearing. So much for being able to remove the old oil seals with a screw driver, took a blunt chisel and hammer on the inside to knock them out. After that it was just a day of cleaning and sanding so the new parts fit snug in the old bits. Should have the subframe back up along with the diff tomorrow, if the missus sleeps in hopefully
  9. Woo, finally my car can be reassembled with all new shiny bits Cheers CM
  10. Even thought about using an shifter to fit over it so it had three decent points of contact on the metal but all mine are angled at the tip or wont go wide enough will have another hunt through my socket set
  11. Worn flywheel?? As a2orry said, take the prop off, not a hard job and will confirm if it's the joints (just remember to mark up which way it came off)
  12. Everywhere I read it says Don't push or pull against the rubber as you will weaken the bond between it and the sleeve. It makes sense. Hence why I am only willing to push/pull off the metal. Old bushes are out already. Cheers
  13. Old ones came out fine as I have disks/platesdies? removal tool set just don't Have the cups. The old bushes have a thicker casing, the new ones have thicker rubber/plastic. It's a 35.2mm diameter where the rubber ends and the casing outer diameter is only 37mm. My 34mm socket is too thick walled and wide to drive the new Bush in place and don't have anything else suitable. Cheers for the idea Alex, still need a bit more stocking up on my d.I.y. tools though =/
  14. Unfortunately the outer shell is very thin and the socket would press the rubber into the center a lot with the design of its teeth so was hoping to use something else. I will probably end up waiting for the hole saw to cut a washer that fits perfect then use a socket on it.
  15. Hey guys, Still struggling to find something to push the bush in for the lower spring bucket arm at the rear. Have ordered a hole saw but most look rubbish (went to B&Q and left as it wouldn't have cut butter) Had this idea though but not sure if it will be strong enough for the job, worm gear clip and place a metal plate on top slightly moved over so it is not sitting on the raised worm gear. Might have a sturdier one but its a lot bigger and might not go small enough to fit sung. What are peoples thoughts? Off to bed for a few hours as I am just in from night shift. # forgot to mention I will be using a press to push them in.
  16. No, don't jack off the rear diff cover, go further forwards on the differential as the cover is aluminium.
  17. Normally they go solid and most places can't budge them. I had to heat mine and have two breaker bars on either side to get them off! Spc and eibach do replacement toe/camber bolts too, which allow for more adjustments.
  18. Looks like a lot of parts though so can kinda understand, there are some 350z kits I like but you are talking similar money for the rare ones If its only being kept for a year or two then budget a bit smaller maybe
  19. Knew I seen it recently, Ekona http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/98257-the-show-us-your-garage-thread/page__st__40 Edited as I didn't want to link his photobucket.
  20. Wow an MRS that looks good! ask Dan, he has one as a toy if I remember correct.
  21. Could be weight, could be a number of things, just adjust the spring to suit and then adjust the shock, just remember the spring will compress so its handy to have a spare jack under the spring bucket after you have adjusted the height on it so the shock can be setup for a little preload but not as much if you dont compress the spring (i.e. simulate the car weight on the suspension arms)
  22. Give it overnight to settle then take it back if its still not right unless you are willing to jack it up, take the wheels off and have a good look. The springs sit in rubber seats and should locate pretty obviously so don't think that would be an issue also the tops clip in and are the same obvious.
  23. Something is wrong that was too easy lol. Stuck the diff bush in the freezer overnight to make it easier to fit, hence the frosty look. Excuse the poor masking lines but I don't really care/ran out of paint. May buy more and make it neater now the bushes are in. Just need to wait till I can get a hand from my dad to get the central sleeves/cylinders lined up as I stopped pushing to adjust my fingers on two of them and they now wont budge so will need to use a bit more grease (used the supplied tube and found another one )and the press to get it sitting perfectly in line with the bush. Very easy to do this bit and happy with the end result. Dam weather is still holding me back from cutting up the oil tank which sucks.
