  1. Ended up looking at a 260z v8 but guy didn't send me more pictures and had heard it was kinda rough, ended up spending a bit more money on the 350z and hope to have a builder so I can get my dream garage and build my dream z engine. Honestly I am all over the joint at the moment, but the weather has been nice so been driving the 350z more than I expected, even booked a track day so v8 can wait.
  2. More stuff for the attic. Thanks torqen Manly filter
  3. Alex, you can't hear anything over your exhaust that's probably why it's quiet lol. My kaaz 1.5 way 78%(or something, can't remember) is noisy at low speeds but trying new oil soon to see if that helps. Driving style is so different, still getting used to it, horrible at low speeds but omg once you get going its fantastic. Unless your tyres are cold and you get a bit excited coming off a roundabout =§
  4. Good luck =( garagemak parts are silly expensive to import
  5. Sorry I am off the pace too. some one point me in the direction of Bobs new silver beast
  6. All I would say is... clean or paint those calipers!
  7. Front end had been cut up, insperatuon from columbo. Satin black wrap in a few months.
  8. or drill out some of the material in the middle but that would be a bit silly.
  9. you suck, sir. I can't even remember what your car was like, I had to go to the start of the thread its been that long since you posted a picture of something other than a box.
  10. Yup, looks like it will be fine as long as the ports are correct for your application and the thread is the same for your filter/engine.(don't have a set of thread gauges handy or access to the pipe to check the old thread count per inch blah blah... Unless its imperial... Sorry I am a bit drunk.
  11. NO. But you could make a hose do a U turn to connect the two ports = mini oil cooler while you wait for your main one.
  12. phoning dynotorque tomorrow for a quote.... Rx8's are very cheap....
  13. Just get a small braided hose with the AN8 fittings or whatever and have a small U shape between the two holes, thats what I was planning on doing..... just never got round to it like everything else.
  14. have a look at the design, how can oil get from one side of the plate to the other if you put bungs in the holes? The oil would come out your engine to into your filter through the middle threaded pipe then as it tries to exit your filter through the outer holes it would hit the plate with the bung!
  15. Just popping my head up as I have one sitting above my computer that has yet to be fitted but would you not have to have a hose connecting the two outlets because if you block the two large oil exit holes the oil has no where to go? the design on my sandwich plate (same as yours) has an outlet and inlet so oil can only get to the other side of the plate by exiting or entering the holes.
  16. They said it was a warped hub very very much doubt that unless it was in an accident. More likely the camber and caster bolts are shot and out of alignment which they can't budge hence the laser alignment is out. If you need parts Zmanalex is the way to go but get a second opinion. Ask your "mechanic" what differential is in it. Otherwise you could stick the car up on axle stands (just the rear and only if confident you know how to) turn one wheel and see if the other moves in the same direction. Really need details to diagnose problems, was it your stub/drive shafts that only had movement in one side?
  17. bearing on its way out or a brake shield rubbing? All your tyre weights still attached to the wheel?
  18. Having not seen your other thread (presumably) why dont you post your problem up as well in case some bright spark on here can help.
  19. No, JDM car's mostly came with a open diff but some came with the viscous diff (same as uk) but also not all of them have the cooling fins, so unless your mechanics know what they are doing (sounds like they don't) take it to someone that does and save time and money.
