Don't think I would chance the weather either we both did well not to bin it. Have you seen the video on youtube of the neds in the astra vxr, kinda scary when you have muppets like that on track with you. Also explains where all the vegetation came from going up to clarks on the racing line

Neilp uses them too. I will probably end up changing my BC's for them soon too.
-
Looks cool where did you get the respray done and how much? pm me if needed.
-
Not fast but the main thing was that I had fun Better tyres will be my next big purchase, then new brakes. Also some lessons for oversteer would be handy.
-
Just down the west coast near largs, might ask for their details if I have no luck this week with the people I have phoned so far.

No problem Dougie had a great day myself, wasn't until the last hour that I started to actually push the car.(the dry line was helpful!) Lucky I came off when I did as I boiled my brakes on my cool down lap lol, peddle went straight to the floor on the hairpin which was scary! Looks like you had fun and got plenty laps in.

Looks like dc sports.

My car is always in bits there isn't much I haven't had a play about with, if you are ever stuck I am just down the road, once I finally get someone to build my double garage you are welcome to pop in and mod your car with someone who has probably done it before.

Track day prep done. Tyre, oil and car clear out tomorrow morning + fuel =

Alignment? (Not common.). Most likely as above ^^

Paul T. 2nd Zed Build thread..... Supercharged- Hulk Buster

Yeah, but was about 7-8months after the respray when the main problem finally showed, whole rear bumper has blisters and slightly on the front and sideskirts, would have gone back but the fact my car came back with things left in places (old towels) and light fittings not fitted etc I wouldn't go back. But I didn't pay much so I guess the saying goes.... I do agree he always does a great job of yours, shame I probably had one of the kids working on mine Think the parts had not been clean properly or something as when the winter arrived the salt on the road must have had a reaction I think. -

Same guy who did mine -
Just ordered myself one of those spa oil temp/fuel pressure gauge, looks like a good price for some neat features, cheers for the heads up, should go well with my cobbled together semi oil cooler.

Ended up refitting the standard crash bar because I dont have a toe hook or strap yet for the new one and the weather is to be a tad wet at knockhill this saturday. Also had to order some 3.5inch steel pipe which I forgot to do so the new CAI wont be ready and will have to use the old manky filter I think there will also be a bit of cutting/shaving involved to fit the new CAI so will no doubt have the car in for a big front end overhaul after the trackday and start fitting the new radiator etc while I am at it. Bit annoyed having to stick old stuff back on but I guess If I have an accident the expensive new parts wont be damaged On a plus note the celica is fixed and should be sold this week
-
Just how mine looks
-
One of the cheaper discs on the market, do the job but I would expect much more.
-
Yet again I find myself buying parts from this lot as the prices are too good and delivery is exceptional. Shame as I don't ever seem to get round to fitting anything
-
More bits arrived. Also my sister (well my dad is) trying to sell her old 51 plate celica, had a guy come to view it and basically said he would have it but my dad wouldn't sell him it lol. There was a loud clunk coming from the steering rack when moving lock to lock. I had already replaced the broken cooler with some spare pipe and the fluid was fine, so hoping it was the tie rod ends I jacked the car up and moved the wheels but no noise couldn't see anything wrong until I looked at the spring It had been broken for a while as the shear mark was rusty... my dad then mentioned he heard a loud bang when jacking the car up the week before After spending hours trying to remove the drop links (stupid allen key bolt design which just turns to a rusty moosh) the grinder came out and it was off. So work is on hold for the nissan until the chap decides if he wants to pay £150 extra for full front new shocks/springs and drop link or cheap out and I will change the one broken spring and drop link. Needless to say hes getting a bloody good deal on the car and free labour costs from myself
-
As above the angles are wrong, two spanners and some wood to raise the car up with the wheels on then I hope you don't like beer and the bellys that go with it as your going to scrabble under the car to adjust. Have fun =)

You Sir are just weird, in-fact I think you are the weirdest of this crazy lot, here's me thinking you were sane but nope, just weird.

The dual mass flywheel acts as a bit of a damper as well as the crank pulley (probably similar to the 350z, which has a rubberized component inside it.) I have a lightweight pulley on my z but will eventually swap over to my fluidampr dampened crank pulley as superchagers have more belt slap than standard accessories. Do I think lightweight items damage the crank, yes, but it depends on your setup how much damage it will cause. (Trade off.)

Ha ha ha , I want one of them ! Every time I start it up I want it to say " you're looking good , women want you and men want to be you as you drive a 350z " Ha ha ha That is what she says (in my mind anyway). =)

I have a tiny one on my dash that speaks Japanese to me when I start her up apart from that it does f all.
