  4. Hey their, Yeah the boofsquire looks great but the website states that they are re-designing their product and are off-line... not doing any business at the moment. a shame! And the Bird automotive are not picking up the phone... and your right Chris'I ...it does look a hassle to install and in dollars its not cheap.. I can't get a £ price as they dont return my calls, ive given up, ive left messages .. but to no avail in the end went onto a roof rack specialist website, rang them up. Spoke to a helpful Goerdie @ northeast roofracks and he assured me that the " Saris bones 2 " will do the job. @ £99 its not too expensive either. Rubber feet also! save the paintwork. Thanks for the input chaps and im glad to see that someone has road tested it.. cheers carrotcake. It will help in my decision of which route to leave Denmark by..... I could take a 24 hr ferry fride from Denmark to the uk or...a 550 mile road trip via the cofee bars and lady entertainment of " The Dam ". ..... Holland here i come!! Thanks
  5. Hey, i need to transport a bike and lots of luggage back home from abroad, ive been looking/searching online for a solution. So far 1. Boofsquire... great ..i want one... but they seem to be off line re-designing it . so unless someone is selling 2nd hand?? 2. Anyone with experience on the subject to help me out with advice?? Thanks in advance

  7. hi, will apologise in advance for sounding like a complete plum, but i am replacing the skippy bose HU, and i need to buy all the required gear and transport it all back to Denmark for a semi-pro to fit it all for me!!! So after reading reams and reams of posts.... to fit a Kenwood HU (DNX9260bt) .... i have worked out i need.... 1. ICT 50-256 facia 2. ICT 29-674 bose USC loom 3. ICT 29-005 kenwood HU lead 4. KCA iP301v (ipod connection) 5. Kenwood CCd 2000 reversing camera Special information to give to my fitter ( mate)... 1. new HU earth connection is required Now the stuff i am unsure of..... 1. May be an issue with voltage?? affecting the max volume... inline booster required?? any ideas of a part number?? 2. Does the reversing camera come with all the leads required? 3. And obviously taking the birdspew satnav out... does this leave me with a nice dash cubby or do i need to buy something?? 4. Any tips for removal of it all and install of the reversing camera, would be nice! link to a sticky perhaps?? thanks for reading.. i know its asking alot, but if anyone has fitted any of this and came across any probs/issues, would appreciate to know in advance... thanks
  8. Thanks mattg, sound advice. i was leaning towards the kenwood myself, i am very tempted by the 9240bt, If your going to be a bear... be a Grizly bear!! Not sure on the improvments apart from a bigger screen ?? This extra cable required for ipod/iphone use..... they quote its only required for ipod/phone video control... so i suppose it can connect audio fine without it?? And do you know the cable/loom for steering controls for kenwood units? Congrats on getting yours fitted..... not sure what i will do, stuck out here in Denmark, no plans to take the motor back to the UK for a while, might just have to trust someone out here to fit it??? Thinking of getting a reversing camera fitted also, not sure how useful it is, but i like the idea of it!! Would love to hand it all over to someone to fit, but probably struggle myself and **** it all up!! Thanks again

As i live /work in Denmark, will try to buy in the UK sooo expensive out here... will i be able to take a unit on boards an airplane as hand luggage... any ideas??? is this the type of job a novice can take on or best done by a specialist, sure i can find one out here!! thanks again Wilshdk

  11. Thanks for the reply's. I have PMed ZMANALEX, i hope he can help. What i am after is the " lower engine splash shield " nissan part number:- 74811 ( i think ). Can only seem to get one from the states or nissan stealers! And will i cause water/moisture damage if i drive around with a big hole in mine!! Dont want to say how i did it!! are there electrics and precious things hidden??? The roads out here are wet/gritty all winter. thanks wilshdk

  14. thanx maccaman, i welcome the help! ! think these pics are alittle bigger!! Its dirty and the light is fading, but shes still beautiful to me!!
  15. Thanks 4 all the "welcome" posts, sorry about the photo upload, lol, yeah never checked it, will try to sort some out! Not sure how to add more pics to this thread? I asked for an idiots guide... not sure what/where "stickys" are?? been looking thru old posts and struggling to come up wiv the answers!! i am as good wiv computers as i am wiv cars.!! looking for an idiots guide to paint care (hand wash or auto)(wot cleaner/polish/wax)!!, oil to use (fully syn??), how often to change oil (time or miles), tyres seems a matter of opinion!! ive never had a car worth looking after, so need complete training!! just to change the subject... does anyone else have the problem of switching on the heated seats with thier elbow as they drive?? Any fixes?? i work wiv carbon fibre, was thinkin of making a carbon plate to cover switches and cut out small holes (make it flush)? thanks
  16. Hi all, i am new to this site and 350z's and thought i'd introduce myself and ask your opinion on my purchase and any advice!! i bought it over the easter holidays (private sale), i work abroad in Denmark, i was back for a week and very little chance to view cars, ended up taking a gamble on this one! not sensible i know, but if i was sensible...would i buy a 350z!! Think i got lucky!! Its an 04 plate GT 17.5K miles, !9" Antera rims, new tyres (not cheap as u all know!!), just been major serviced. full mot, 2 months tax! got it for £11k. Could of got cheaper o4's but most were 80K miles ++. The condition and the miles sold it to me! i have just drove it back to Denmark ive put 1000 miles on it and it hasnt missed a beat!! The grin on my face wont go away!! No knocking from the rear!!, no squelling from the Brembo's, drivers side window motor just replaced by previous owner(£500 bill), only common fault ive noticed is the passanger speaker making odd noises (can live with that). So any comments good or bad welcome!! I dont know alot about sports cars and even less on the 350z... so if anyone can give me the idiots guide to owning one or any links to similar questions .. that would be great. And does anyone know of any Danish 350z clubs, meets, traders??? been here 3 yrs now, and never seen one on the road!! but wiv 180% tax on all cars... hardly surprising!! One other thing the guy mentioned when i bought it... claimed the previous owner knew one of the original designers on the 350z, and he says it was designed with 19"rims, only went to 18" as a production comprimise!!! Any truth in that?? Anyway, thanks for any comments left, look fwd to ur views and advise!! Regards Mark p.s heres a pic of it:-
