  1. money sent, lets hope i get someone good
  2. i'll do this, do i just send the payment straight away?
  3. i had a very good job of the spinal surgery i got from the NHS, really good surgeon, but they didnt have the chance to miss-diagnose as it was a car accident.
  4. this is mine with k1, needs sorting as it sags a bit in the middle and it doesnt look as good as if there was a big shiny box but i quite like it...
  5. that is true, skid pan should be included in testing, did ya'll see the top gear about getting a licence in finland, i know their roads are a lot different to ours but surely something could be learned from them. i for one would redo my lessons and test if t would make me a better driver. instead though we have to pay a fortune for advanced driving courses and only if we want to. seems silly
  6. thats a good point, i forgot the limits were set so long ago. i agree on the testing too, how come you dont drive on a motorway when learning? and you dont have to drive at night, or in different weather. its just whatever the conditions are when you book your lessons and test.
  7. beat me to it, i was just about to go out with my camera...
  8. i am often amazed at some ppls lack of ability to drive, especially on motorways and in bad weather i was nearly killed as a passenger in a head on collision because the lad driving thought overtaking someone doing 50 in a storm on a 60 road wasnt necessary. shame we were in an old 1l saxo with @*!# brakes, no power and an idiot driver, else it might have been a different story. i think i will have to agree with demolition here, better use of discretion would probably be the best option, at least until all the clapped out old bangars are off the roads.
  9. i agree completely. one thing i feel should be changed for sure is a night time speed limit, picture it, driving home, say a 3 hour stint and you are supposed to stay at 70, but the roads are completely empty, dry, and your lights are working fine. why exactly can you not put your toe down? this would be for motorways obviously, possibly long stretches of dual carriageway. i realise this may encourage racing but the minority of idiots who would do that surely do it already.
  10. does the forum have business cards for sticking on spotted cars, or is that one of your own with a note on it
  11. next door neighbour is a mechanic with a ramp any work i get done normally costs me a few cans of cider and the condition i help him do it. bonus
  12. i like wearing a baseball cap and trying to set car alarms off with my k1 though so i may as well complete the look
  13. cheating indeed but i aint complaing, made my life easier
  14. *cough* wikipedia *cough* *cough*military presentation i had to do during my training and before i was injured which i then used for my college course i am on now *cough*
  15. dammit! now you've all got me thinking i need to buy new tyres for the rears to match the fronts i had on last month, and i got the fronts cheap(er than they shoudlve been).
  16. gps locates about 14 satellites at any one time and uses them to pinpoint your location. it was originally used byt the us army and then released for use by the general public as the satellites were up there costing a lot of money and can multitask anyway. based on that, i'd trust the gps more than the speedo, mine are always pretty close together though
  17. i see your point but strangely i got cheaper insurance quotes on one of those, LHD 6.2l v8 than i am paying insurance for my zed. my zed is an import so is higher insurance than uk models (which i dont understand), but cheaper to insure a camaro? bizarre, if only i could have afforded the 40k for one
  18. i would run a few scans and look about to see if her son had downloaded and then tried to delete anything to cover his tracks. possible ram upgrade too, might just be gettin slow with age, how long you had it nixy?
  19. i watched kick ass for the 10th time in the last 2 weeks rather than watchin that shower of shite, that and the fact that i love kick ass
  20. mate of mine did the same thing and had the same treatment, getting told it was less than it was. sorry to tell but the 9-12 month recovery is pretty accurate, and you have to work at it to get back in that time frame, he did his over a year ago and still has to be careful, he is playin footy again though, but only 5 a side with mates
  21. you mean flatten and re install right? surely a rebuild is the more expensive option here.
  22. when i fitted my k1 a couple of weeks ago i had no issues getting the OEM zorst off at all. saying that though, i recently had a new clutch in and i think they may have taken the exhaust off to get to it, not sure. as for the tyres, thats strange, had both my fronts done recently as both were worn right down on the inside but had good tread left on the middle adn outside, was even on both tyres though.
