  1. no thats definately not what i wanted.

the head unit needs to be connected to the handbrake to work. i/e when the handbrak is on then i lets me watch dvd's etc. so if i dont connect the cable up it think the hand brake is off so wont work. doeas that explain better?

Yeah guess its a safety feature... im sure someone will be along soon who knows :snack:

I have to say though I got DVD players in both my cars and the only DVD thats been in there is one with 9GB of music on it :band::band::band::band:

  2. this is really simple;

    you buy a curtain pole..

you buy a cheap one from pound stretchers for use with your flimsy cheap pound stretcher curtains, all is well.

you hang heavy good quality curtains off it, it breaks...

then you buy a solid curtain pole from BnQ.

    curtains never fall down.

    whats the lesson here?

the less you pay, usually the cheaper the materials and workmanship becomes.

The more "heavy" your use of the item the more it will cost as you dont fall into the normal "cheap" bracket of customer and the more workmanship and better materials are needed.

To ensure customers arent being cheated, companies build up brand names, under these brand names the companies spend large amounts of money to be inspected and approved for particular engineering standards (eg. ISO) these standards protect us as customers as we know what we are getting every time. (You can look up the accreditations of each company and their products free of charge.)

But yes, the companies who have put the money in for R&D and quality will attempt to make a larger return for the financial risk they have taken, they do this by charging a premium for their premium products.

This isn't intended to reflect on any supplier on this thread, just to explain the reason behind one brand being more expensicve than another.

 said so much better than me

  3. That's a good price, I paid £200 but that was for Eibach ones

:bangin: are they worth that much more?

The MW Tech ones were not available when I got mine from CS.

I would have considered the MW Tech ones, but cost isn't always an issue is it, otherwise we would all be driving round on Arrowspeed tyres surely?

What i was asking was are the eibach ones that much different to warrent the extra cost, or are they that much more because of the brand name?

Ahhh sorry, not sure TBH as I have never seen the MWT ones, not sure even if I had I would be able to tell the difference?

There is almost certainly no difference whatsoever, I didn't buy them because of the name, they were just all that was available and I had seen lots of members on here with them

Like I said now I had the choice I might go for the MWT one's as they have been tried and tested

  4. The Exhaust must have done about 3000miles maximum,

When it went in for it's MOT it was immaculate condition apart from the centre box has a dent, Must have been hit on a speed bump at some point, Luckily its not seriously damaged the exhaust, The Rear Section though is like brand new still

Ok mines only been on a month, its a deal, when do you want to swap them over?

  5. Could be worth swapping if your after cashing in, ive seen guys on here pay £700 for a 2nd hand Nismo exhaust so you could be talking 4 figures easy for that in good condition

As said many times above you are one jammy bar steward :boxing:

  6. If you dont ask you dont get ...

And also the first post was made in Thu Feb 25, 2010 9:36 pm ... explaining these rules as such. Guy posted today that unit hadnt sold yet I made an offer he didnt get his back up about it and informed me someone already has dibs on the unit ... Why do you feel the need to post the above is beyond me ...

Sorry just rude I thought as he asked not to make offers.... I would have PM'ed it as yes you never know...

  7. That's looking good Dave, getting my spacers this week, need new rims but can't afford that yet!! Prefer my polished ally stubby though!! lol :D

It's good to be different so no problem there but a black stubby cuts through the air cleaner and adds at least 2bhp ;)

  8. That's a good price, I paid £200 but that was for Eibach ones

:bangin: are they worth that much more?

  9. Here is my entry, totally unique (maybe for a reason) -

Centre arm rest in italian leather :teeth:

Matches the interior and looks OEM I think, and before anyone asks....

Yes it does cover up the centre cubby, but as that only contains a 350GB Hard Drive of music which I update say once a month its not really a problem :p

Yes it does cover up the heated seat and hazard switches, but they are accessible as it is only fitted with velcro.

It really makes a difference on a long journey

  10. This is a very popular mod for the 350z.

For a stock car (03-06) this gives a great sound and the only reason I have removed it is that I now have a lovely new exhaust to listen to. Don't believe the hype that it increases BHP the only reason for fitting this is the noise B)

It has been on my car for 9k miles and 6 months, there are scratches on the top chrome ring which you can see in the pic but it all complete with heat shield etc. Looking for £60 + p&p or you can collect from me, I am in SE London. If you collect I can fit it for you in 10 mins as it's a really simple job, see here -
