  4. Good point, well made. Never had that money in the first place... so shouldnt really miss it. ... but on fuel alone im throwing away £208 a month... Why not get a Zed AND a shed then you have the choice, if you want to save some pennies to spend on the Zed you drive the shed, that way it won't feel so bad either
  5. For 11-13K you should be aiming a little higher than an 03, you should be able to get a decent 55 plate or a late 06 plate then you will have the lower tax bracket. What colour have you decided on, that makes a little bit of difference with Z's. Silver is the easiest to find followed probably by Gunmetal, Black & Blue. Red & Yellow are less easy to find and look and different. There was also a special edition Zed in Black and Yellow but that might be slightly out of your price bracket, could be wrong though! Keep an eye on here as there are some lovely examples that come up for sale, I went down the dealer route but if you can buy privately then you will get a real bargain on here and you can trace the cars history back too Good luck with your search, and don't for get to leave some spare £ for all the mods
  6. Awwwwe Oh you mean the cars Very nice I bet the dealers wish that everyone who went in for a service bought an 08 Roadster If we didn't need a 'sensible' car for passengers and winter weather I would get my missus a roadster.... I would honest
  7. I'm an Essex boy originally so I made the move and back again! Might move back when I retire
  8. WTG Tarmac, now get on with sorting out the special offers and group buys!
  9. Cambridge Audio Amp Tannoy Sub, TDL tall front speakers and gale surrounds (I like to mix and match ) All connected up with optical cables and also a Zalman HTC PC which I built myself. Im looking forward to some good games coming out to catch the Christmas market, just research first no knee jerk purchases lol
  10. Ray, If you get any grief just take her out for a spin... maybe even let her have a little drive That's what I did when I got mine, and then promptly hid the spare key
  11. Yeah I know exactly what you mean there with the wii.... but for me it was because almost all the best games were aimed at kids with cartoon graphics... Iv'e had a play ( ) and it is superb, basically just like an HD Wii and the only game i've got so far is the Sports one but just comparing it to Wii Sports it just wipes the floor with it! It is soooooo precise it's unbelievable, for instance on the table tennis game if you twist your wrist you can see it copies on screen Hopefully a lot of game makers are going to release patches for their games to include the Move, probably some good and some awful! Shooting games will be superb and if the other controller thingy (like the Wii Nunchuk) is any good it will be better still! Been playing the frisbi golf a bit, please no jokes I already knew I was a useless tosser!
  12. Nismo Exhaust? Guessing that might not fit in the hand luggage though
  13. Iv'e got a skirt you can borrow will bring it Sunday and we can do a Bucks Fizz impersonation Gutted I missed out on Wales (The Sequel) as I missed the original meet too... The thing that really made me is I ended up doing 400 odd miles that weekend anyway
  14. Haha, I lived in Wellington (Somezed) on the Dorzet border and lovely part of the country (if a bit backward.... runs away)
  15. Hiya, we traded in my partners 55 plate 2.0ES Hyundai Coupe for the Z last November. The Hyundai is nice to look at but I found it extremely gutless and the lack of torque was terrible, I know very little about motor engineering but i'm sure with limited training I could get more torque out of a 2.0l engine than Hyundai managed! Anyway the Z I got was a high mileage one as I intended to use it everyday for commuting etc not just polish it and put it in a garage, mine had done 72k when I got it and the clutch went within about 6k it just got so heavy it really made driving the car a chore. I got a clutch and flywheel of Zmanalex on here for £550, so not really that expensive. There are plenty of very good midrange tyres that get good reviews on here and my rears are still ok after nearly 12k, they are the Bridgestone REO60's. Running cost wise I would say the Z does almost the same MPG as the Hyundai did, I rarely got more than 300/350 miles to a tank (55l) which is about 25-28mpg about the same as I get on the Z You certainly won't regret the move, the Z is comparable cost wise to the Hyundai, certainly not a HUGE leap anyway, the only thing you will notice is the urge to spend money on it is waaaaaaaay more tempting
  16. We buy any car . com We buy any car . com Any Any Any Actually, I think we will pass on that one...
  17. I think it must your area Ray, I got the Technika DAB-108P from Tesco last night and it works great perfect reception all the way home but then i'm in London so if the receptions isn't good here then we are all doomed! 18. Anyone else got these yet? Picked them up on my way to work tonight so not tried them out yet but looks good If anyone is interested Tesco seems to be the cheapest place to pick them up at the moment.... Anyone want to buy a chipped black wii with loads of accessories and games, cos I think it's just been outdone!
  19. Very nice job m8 If I ever get in trouble in a light aircraft I will give you a shout to guide me down
  20. Looking at the reviews this looks a good bet, might invest in one tomorrow if its in stock at my local tesco
  21. Good post, glad your enjoying it There will always be thread about fuel economy where people have stretched themselves to get the car and find the running costs high, but I agree with your comment and I knew the Z wasn't economical or practical before I bought it! My only tip with the modding bug is not to buy things too quickly but to think through exactly what you want and then gradually build things up. If you go too fast then you will probably regret bits or end up ripping them off and replacing them with what you should have got in the first place Another good tip is to keep the bits you replace as when you come to sell you will get a much better return and easier sale if the car is back to stock. (you do need a big garage though) Good luck with saving for the 370
