  1. I got... 82/100 Economical 100/100 Social 100/100 Cultural And no I did NOT cheat
  2. Which quikfit would promptly refuse to pay as you did not give them the chance to put it right, or as stated they offered a refund, not agreeing for you to go elsewhere and charge them... I would get the tyres changed to the correct ones and then put it down to experience and go elsewhere for the alignment
  3. i think its about 600 quid for the delete remap and emc turn off, but the exhaust part is only like a decat part. not a full exhaust sytem. I think a deal that includes an exhaust is prefferable to get the best out of the remap
  4. Surely they should have a Moto or Little Chef's for you to pull over into
  5. In a FWD car I average just over 40 in the FR and from what I have read that will maybe rise slightly with the DPF delete its the DPF that kills the alfa mpg when it reburns to clean the filter, people on average only see about 33 mpg at standard. but with the remap dpf delete and emc switch off it should see the OEM original mpg figures. and as its a 5 cyclinder it apparently sounds pretty good for a diesel, to be honest the biggest selling point for me is the interior, and exterior looks. it may not be as quick as the s2k but its an environment i'd be happy to spend hours in Sounds good to me The DPF is very restrictive on the PD170 engine too... It is quite loud and not very refined but boy does it pull Is the DPF delete expensive for the Alfa, I can get it done on the Leon for £800 including a nice shiny Milltek exhaust

  7. Glebe Road, that takes me back... I was born in Chelmsford, you can take the boy out of Essex
  8. Maybe he believed Clarkson about the engine
  9. +1,000,000 I could not agree more I really don't understand the whole shed thing? If you can't afford to run the Zed then get a cheaper nice car to run, why spend most of your time behind the wheel of a shite car
  10. Torque eats front tyres on them though. Stop being so heavy footed then They are also ripe for re-mapping for some blistering performance, you could probably pick up an old shape one (far prettier) for around 4-5k on a 05/55 plate, just make sure the timing belt has been changed My FR TDI is mapped to just under 210 bhp and just over 300 lbs/ft torque and not a single puff of black smoke out of the back However it may be getting a new exhaust this year and the DPF deleted... then I should have 250 bhp and 350 lbls/ft there will then be some black soot though
  11. Certainly quick Go for the older PD though not the new CR... the PD is noisier but goes like a rocket I agree about the torque through the front wheel though
  12. Nah to be REALLY future proof call it Top Volts
  13. Ok Ok sorry couldn't resist that Was it this one..... http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=42175
  14. 5W 40 will handle high ambient temperatures better than 5W 30 probably not unless you're considering a drive to Zimbabwe or Abu Dhabi lol It does sometimes get into the high 20's in Dorking
  15. Was it the huge thread think it was a BMW with superb I.C.E.
  16. They had your car didn't they? I bought mine in November 2009 and 17k miles later it is still going very strong on the same tyres I have had a new clutch but then thats a consumable part, everything else I have done to the car has been through choice Just check the car as you would any other and don't listen to all the scaremongering
  17. I got my Zed from S20004U But I think I just got lucky
  18. Not sure why you guys are surprised he was quick.... must have had some practice nicking cars in his youth
  19. I can confirm this as they serviced my car today and used Motul 300V 5W30
  20. Go see them both next to each other and see which floats your boat Go with your heart not your head, after all if you went with your head you would be going to look at an ecomotion Polo
  21. Mark@Abbey is a lot closer and cheaper. Thats what Dave was trying to point out, for us southerns we are better off going to Mark 3 times as far to travel... unless you are in the area anyway that really doesn't make much sense...
  22. Sounds like fun Will you have a less popular mate travelling behind in a shed in case any of you breakdown
  23. Orange and Yellow cars are rarer for a reason, i.e. not many people want one. That doesn't make it a bad thing though for many more reasons
