I had a very similar experience, is it a rattle or is it more like a buzzing or humming? If it is a buzzing/humming sound then you probably need a gearbox oil change and wouldn't hurt to put some molyslip in also. Hopefully just a bit of loose trim of or bolt or washer somewhere though

Must be that Lead Diving boot you wear on your right foot Seriously though on a decent long drive it is ok, its all the short trips and stop start driving, for example my Missus used the Zed for her commute from Kent to Wandsworth in rush hour and she got 18mpg She said it was so nice but when I told her she has used 2 GALLONS of fuel each way she said maybe I will use the Leon tomorrow

On the drive up from Kent to Husky's place (116 miles) I reset before I left and got 32.5mpg Lots of 50mph limits on the M25 & M1 but I never use Cruise Control and inbetween I didn't hang about

Hey I might well be the old man of the Milltek Posse but my Zorst sure ain't quiet As for keeping it clean I used to use Autosol but when it ran out I got some Megs metal cleaner and I find it fantastic, 5 minutes work every other week or so and it is shiny like in my sig

Mark, as you know I had the car done end of January. Previously had a D1 speed controller so was not expecting it to be much different really but I was very surprised with the results. The throttle is much more responsive a bit like the D1 but not as jerky, much more smooth and linear. What surprises you most is the pull you get in every gear it really is impressive. Add to that a slightly better fuel economy (once you stop enjoying the torque) and it really makes sense. Best money I have spent on the car, only thing I would say is get everything else done first to see the best results I won't be doing any more tuning to the car as I got everything done that I wanted first and I am more than happy with the results. Only thing that would be better would be if you could get even better performance and better MPG Dave

Doesn't seem like it will be a problem to most people unless you drive like a complete tit cutting people up and undertaking etc.... but what is going to be classed as anti social driving? If you overtake an old duffer going 20mph will that be 3 points? I agree with the bit about new drivers and under 21's not being allowed to drive after a certain time and not being allowed to carry passengers, you hear about too many Corsa's or Clio's crashing late at night with 4/5 teenagers in them...

Can't post any pics at the moment but 11 mile commute on A2 & M25 is averaging 28-30mpg average speed between 40-50...

Welcome! If you need / want Bluetooth and don't have the cradle then your best bet it to replace the head unit with one that has BT built in, I expect retrofitting the factory one is difficult and it isn't the best anyway. Have a look in the I.C.E section it isn't that daunting.

Stop trying to make your Zed sound like a chavvy Corsa or Saxo You have a very nice exhaust that imo sounds just right, HFCs would make it a bit deeper without any extra drone
