  1. I can have my cake, but it is usually followed by lots of water and a headache
  2. Very good effort Personally don't like them at all though.... sorry
  3. Yep made me chuckle too, and I'm so glad I am not like that. ?
  4. Started off with a 1.4 Corsa Ecomotive Loads of toys and well kitted out but I swear the accelerator pedal was so sprung loaded, and even when you did force it down it made bugger all difference to how you were moving It also had a little green 'change up gear' light which made me chuckle, if you paid attention to it you were in 5th gear before you were doing 30mph Anyway it went back first thing Monday morning as it was all they had friday afternoon, and we now have a 2l Insignia TDCI which I have to say I am quite impressed with. It's quiet, reasonably quick, pretty frugal and quite nice to drive.... SHould be able to get to Cornwall and back on one tank of the black stuff, would have been almost 2 tanks in the Zed... but a lot more enjoyable
  5. Yep made me chuckle too, and I'm so glad I am not like that.
  6. I got the OEM Nissan one from Zman for around £140, it fits like a glove. Obviously you can get cheaper ones but like anything you get what you pay for...
  7. A few people said I was mad to have not claimed any 'personal injuries' from my accident but I don't have any One strange thing, over the last few weeks I must have got 4/5 texts saying "after your recent accident did you know you could claim £££££ for your personal injuries etc etc... since I had the accident friday, NOTHING... weird huh Oh and people who claim for injuries they didn't get are fraudsters plain and simple.
  8. Cheers Graham nothing like a good friend to make you smile when you wanna cry
  9. Just saw your other post Chris looks like we have both had a bad week
  10. Roadsters don't have the steering wheel controls do they Don't have a Roadster Bit strange though, why Cruise Control but no stereo buttons?
  11. If it is a GT then why doesn't it have the stereo controls on the steering wheel? Also standard alloys Looks nice and clean though
  12. Waved bye bye to the Zed on a flatbed this morning Just to be clear I was not speeding, the corner has a 30mph limit and in the 2 months I have lived here I have had and seen several close calls on that bend so I take it extremely carefully... Also the van passed me, well not entirely as you can see from the damage, so even if I WAS speeding, he was travelling even faster... I will hear probably in the next day or 2 what is what, just to rub salt in the wound when I came home today at the exact same spot there was a Police car in the layby, why oh why couldn't he have been there Friday, couldn't get a better independant witness than that There MUST have been accidents on this bend before, does anyone know where you can get information like that? Anyway I now at least have a brand new Insignia, which I must say is pretty nice to drive really
  13. Understand your frustration but bit stupid getting out and confronting someone, next guy could have a knife or worse...
  14. Thanks for the comments guys... The van driver seemed very sorry when he saw the damage, totally his fault so i hope it goes smoothly. Was company van, spoke to his boss who was a complete @@@@ and was just worried about him getting going again. He said that his driver said i was going too fast, which i told my insurance as i was not and as he cut into my lane, saying he saw me obviously is accepting blame wouldnt you say? Its being picked up monday to assess the damage, i think im gonna take my cf and speaker out of the drivers door before it goes just in case... Cant see it being a write off as no front or rear damage whatsoever, would be a real shame for the old girl not to make it to 100,000 miles...
  15. Just shows that you have to watch what everyone else is doing these days, i was halfway along the side of the van when he pulled into my lane as yoi can probly tell from the pic and the angle of the damage, also killed my passenger front alloy where he pushed me into the kerb, car drives ok so fingers crossed just cosmetic damage. Gonna PM ChrisS and see if i can get the £10 back from the dent guy at Wales for popping out the drivers door ding Oh I am fine by the way, the hospital thought major head trauma from the brain scans but when they compared them to old copies there was no change
  16. Ah the joys of D.I.Y. modding
  17. Yesterday morning a kind white van driver thought he would share my lane, whilst I was still travelling in it So I am currently driving a lovely brand new Corsa, which hopefully will be changed for a brand new Insignia on Monday.... brilliant timing as I was really looking forward to our trip to Cornwall next weekend in the Zed
  18. Im gonna get mine done like that as part of the accident repair
  19. Glad its getting sorted mate As for Sarah
  20. I feel your pain mate Hope you get it sorted
  21. Only time I have ever had the TC cut in is in the snow/ice and that includes drives like in Wales etc, as stated if you drive smoothly you just don't have problems with it. I guess why the TC is so severe is because the car is so tail happy if you drive like a tit, as Husky said how many of the 'accident' threads start with 'I was just coming off a roundabout and gave it the beans...."
