  1. Amen to that, it's what I have... Never done a donut in a car park though Only things I have done in empty car parks are definitely
  2. This one should be in Manphibian's thread really
  3. Yeah maybe what I said was a bit snobbish as I am a bit of an Audiophile but as with anything you get what you pay for. My Pioneer is the dogs danglies but it was £800 2 years ago To be perfectly honest if I only had a budget of £200 I would stick with the Bose, do the iPod hack and get a decent TomTom for the cubby That would be about £100 then I would save up for something better
  4. Whatever you do PLEASE don't buy a chinese unit They are cheap for a reason, badly made and sound awful... you are far better off with a 2nd hand unit off eBay or elsewhere. If you spend £100-£150 on a cheap unit it will be money down the drain Michael, yes that site is pretty reasonable but boviously best to shop around. Some places and eBay look cheap but the units come from the US so you have to add a lot for shipping etc
  5. I was waiting for someone to say that i thought it as soon as i saw the pic
  6. Time for a very under used smilie -
  7. Andy only says that to minimise tyre wear as North Weald is so abrasive. I saw Will350Z's tyres after a car limits session in the summer.... I have seen less canvas in a branch of Milletts
  8. Calm down Dear, it's only a pair of y-fronts
  9. Can't believe the difference, I thought it looked really bad half wrapped but all in white it looks fantastic Just shows how careful you have to be with 'styling' although obviously the half wrap was to show off the services offered
  10. Cheers mate I actually surprised myself
  11. Looked good today And I spy with my little eye something previously of Doogy's beginning with - D 1 S... T....... C........ Do I get a prize
  12. I know So make it a small glass then, save a few pennies If it's any consolation I have the dentist Tuesday and you know how well THAT went last time
  13. Dave says have a LARGE glass of red wine Could have been worse I guess, everyone is well apart from your wallet +1 on the Ace Cafe meet
  14. 98,800 and counting....
  15. Indeed I do Positives Looks - quite a few hatchbacks have copied the style Handling - feels like it is on train tracks Performance - very rapid for a diesel a £300 remap pushes it over 200bhp and nearly 400 torques Reliability - mine has not let me down once in 4 years Negatives Ride quality - pretty harsh & jiggly Interior quality - pretty poor MPG - pretty poor for a TDI, around town about 38, 50 on a run, average about 42-45ish.... Overall I love it, if you do a lot of miles mixed driving and you want something fun and fairly frugal then go for it PM me if you want anymore info
  16. I saw this when it was on at tea time, I am surprised they didn't cut it but I am glad they didn't.... quality stuff
  17. I looked at these when I got my Leon TDI, not a lot in it performance wise, the Leon was a little quicker but the Civic a little more frugal. Only thing I didn't like was the horrible plastic trim that runs all the way around the car and over the wheel arches
  18. Bit hard to forget when your working nights Had a memo forwarded THIS MORNING that I read from home telling me that I will be staying till 6am therefore working an extra hour for nothing.... I think not!
  19. Get a cheap to run nice car, then sort out the job and flat. Once you have all your own bills you will know if you can save or afford a luxury like a Zed. If you keep the Zed and get a mortgage you could struggle and lose everything, better to build things up slowly and securely
  20. Proper eccentric, met him when i was a kid and my Dad was in Stoke Manderville I have fixed it for Jim to see the scouts on the rollercoaster again
  21. Hmmmm that doesn't look like the one I fitted.... If you are worried about taking the OEM one off and being stuck then you can try it on mine tomorrow if I make it I'm sure Graham would let you try it on his too It may fit fine and as its a bit shorted might not need as much customising as mine and Grahams.... hard to tell until you offer it up to a naked handbrake really...
