  1. Nice one, a bit scary when you first start pulling trim apart but once you know where the pressure points are its a piece of cake
  2. Yeah there are quite a few on utube I watched this series a while back just watched an episode on iplayer this morning and although most of the series was not great, this guy was the star of the show
  3. Many moons ago when I was a Manager for Sainsburys I had the pleasure of sticking notices on cars that parked in disabled bays with no badge, they were quite big and REALLY sticky so I used to put them right on the windscreen in the drivers view. When you pulled them off they left a horrible mess on the windscreen oh the joy it used to bring If you did the same now someone would probably either sue you or stab you
  4. Pedal dance with an iPhone Use the stopwatch to time the moves and then video the code at the end... simples
  5. Hmmmmm maybe I could t@@t my boss later and clain it is tourettes.... Worth a shot anyway
  6. Ive just had my light come on for the first time since last winter too.... Perfectly normal and nothing really to worry about unless the car start running lumpy... I haven't got Alex spacers fitted although i have some but i am the Zed equivalent of Michael Flatley when it comes to pedal dancing
  7. +1 you cant seem to get a good sq based multimedia system. Ive used JVC in my last 2 cars and really liked them. I personally if you can would would for the 8xx series. Also try caraudiodirect you can usually get a bit of discount of them and postage isnt stupid at £8 or something. BUT if your buying a new headunit purely to add quality to the bose system you might be disapointed. The source unit isnt going to be 100x better then the bose cd player. Espically since to you will probably keep using the bose amp. If your that disapointed in the bose it needs to come out, all of it. +lots I changed my HU first mainly for multimedia and it wasn't an amazing difference in SQ but I had satnav, proper iPod control etc etc then I changed all 4 speakers and amped then seperate to the Bose and WOW.... I still ran them with the Bose sub and attached amp until recently which was ok but now with that changed too it is much better still. So basically change the HU for functionality, but be prepared to have to change speakers and amp them to get any huge difference in SQ
  8. Its good to be different Personally I prefer that interior to a Zed with black wheels, black bonnet or black roof.... and I hate red I made myself a little armrest once but that one is HUGE bet its comfy, mine was
  9. I have just fitted the AVX 840 and it sounds great Mind you I have replaced every crappy Bose speaker and Amp
  10. I am off to Abbey for a service on thursday, never taken my Zed anywhere else for a service since I got it
  11. Bit harsh, Graham & Joy are both very nice
  12. Of course Vik, no point in not getting the message across. Quite right too
  13. Have a look at this thread mate it might help http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=19787 At least it looks like all the cables still have their labels on and there is a little diagram on the back of the unit. The steering adapter comes with the loom and then you need to buy a seperate lead for the make car and HU manufacturer, thats where you might have problems but give http://www.incartec.co.uk/ a try
  14. Ive driven my Zed all year round for 2 years now, even drove last winter with no ABS ot TCS I was thinking this morning with frost on the windscreen and 1 degree at 05:00 how great the car felt with all that ice cold air keeping the intake temp down
  15. If your going to the trouble of ditching the Bose and you have the bird view then you might as well ditch that too...
  16. You will need to be inducted into the Milltek Club
  17. Did it sound like when you fitted a playing card to the back wheel of a bike
  18. Start with the HU, you will need loom adapter, steering control adapter, fascia and maybe line boosters as the bose amp runs very low. If you want to go the whole hog you can replace all the speakers and sub but you will need amps too.... Can get expensive Just replacing the HU makes a huge difference, only downside is loosing the oem BT if you have it but almost all decent HUs now have BT built in anyway Have a look in the I.C.E. section to see what me and others have fitted
