  1. I see this a lot on the M25 stretch to the bridge where the roadworks are, I would like to think they are all getting points and fined but I doubt it, still not worth the risk though
  2. I have my z in Loughborough and I'm in London for another week or so or I would check now. How ifficukt would it be to wire up a speaker and where would I put it?!? Cheers for the hop on this Well mine is an aftermarket nav so it had a tiny speaker on it, I just got a bigger one from Maplins and wired it up just underneath the gear knob surround. Its plenty loud enough and doesn't interupt the HU, depends how you want it really...
  3. That's my entire stocking filler list Actually I have my own stocking filler as you well know
  4. Just a thought, but personally If you can find the audio out from the satnav I would wire it up to a speaker of its own, thats what I have done with my nav. I used to hate it when it kept cutting in over my music or just when I was listening to something on the radio
  5. I can't see why the satnav would take its power from the Bose but I don't have a birdview so can't say for sure The problem is the output from the satnav for the sound, I don't think it is standard, it may well be part of the loom but unless you can identify it and connect it to the mute input on the HU you will struggle, as with most things I am sure someone else has tried and hopefully managed it I had never messed with car audio before I got my Zed, now I have more ICE than a Polar Bear Have you taken anything apart yet, obviously you could dissconect the Bose then try the ignition and see if the satnav fires up

  14. Good spot well that's good news then! Will ask sextons about this ariel converter I'm pretty sure you don't need a converter, I have a stubby aerial which doesn't give fantastic reception but it's perfectly alright most of the time
  15. I am most definitely Zed related... I love my car I will get my coat
  16. Because he can... I have no problem with succesful and inovative people earning lots of money but it just shows the gulf when someone can spend £m's on gold plating a car
  17. Gliptone do leather cleaner and leather conditioner but also scuffmaster which is a dye, they do a kit with all 3 too
  18. Page 43 of the manual Amplifier gain can be set to none, low or high
  19. Dave are you running all the speakers from RCA's? Yes all through RCA's and a seperate amp and hertz speakers. When I fitted my Pioneer I needed line boosters for the bose amp but on my avx840 there is a line boost setting for none, low & high so if the 740 is the same I am guessing the line boosters will not be needed...
  20. You wont need an aerial adapter as far as i know...
  21. If the 740 is the same as the 840 you wont need line boosters as it has a built booster I am pretty sure the satnav will have its own power supply but im sure someone can confirm, everything else sounds right I think you will struggle to turn the nav output into an aux in but good luck anyway...
  22. If you just remove the gear surround you should be able to push it up between the trim and the carpet I reckon
