  1. Looking at some of the replies what did you guys expect, its not Top Gear or 5th Gear, they wouldn't chuck you the keys to £150k of car and let you thrash it round a track for half an hour.... Being dissapointed with someone sat in the passenger seat telling you what to do is not really being realistic is it Anyway choose the car that floats your boat and have fun
  2. I'm no specialist I just like my music and a decent sound system is important to me. This forum is great and I have had so much help and support from this place it's nice to give some back
  3. Have you got the input set right in the settings What video are you trying to play DVD, from iPod, SD Card? DO you mean not working when the car is stationary or when moving, I never did the hack to make it work while moving, couldn't see the point to be honest
  4. I ran cable along behind the passenger cubby to my rear camera and sub, loads of room behind there, also got my JL amp in there
  5. Cool Glad to be of some help Now all you need are some decent speakers, a decent amp and a decent sub and you will have a decent setup
  6. Red / White / Black / Yellow are Front L & R and Rear L & R. The sub is seperate and if it has L & R input you normally only need to use the L if you only have one RCA
  7. Email replied to :thumb: Just strip off a bit if the blue/white wire from the JVC, splice the spare loose blue/white one from the ict to it and you should have sound Good luck in the morning, technical support will not be up till early afternoon im afraid as im working tonight
  8. Thats the one, I can't remember if I spliced it or rerouted it when I still had the bose amp, now I have a seperate one it is obviously spliced Sorry some of my help has been a little vague, most of what I did was over 2 years ago when I fitted the Pioneer, but luckily I had a bit of a refresher when I fitted my JVC a few weeks back
  9. Should be the blue & white wire in JVC connector like in the pic (No 5) PDF Link - http://a248.e.akamai.net/pix.crutchfield.com/Manuals/105/105AVX640.PDF
  10. Thats a bummer, yeah if you have the Bose and the adapter doesn't look like that you are stuffed unfortunately....
  11. Sorry if I hadn't been back to work this week I would have taken some pictures for you as I had a Pioneer which is what the guide was done for and a JVC which has the same connections as yours so have had the same problems as you to sort out Once you get the pre amp out sorted you should be fine as long as everything is earthed and best thing is the JVC has a built in booster so you don't need line boosters either Hope you get it all sorted, sounds like you are 99.9% of the way there
  12. The amp power lead is connected to this one on the loom This guy put spade connector on his but you can just splice it
  13. Looks like you have wired the amp remote to the steering remote... So the amp isnt firing up hence no sound The steering remote wire is only spliced to the steering wheel adapter where you cut off the 3.5mm plug, like this -
  14. This is the adapter you need to wire up a bose setup Red & White RCAs are front L&R Black & Yellow are rear L&R Follow the link I posted and you will have no problems I promise, only thing that is HU specific is the steeting wheel adapter, the small cable that plugs into the loom and has a 3.5mm plug the other end, some units have slightly different connections on the rear some wires are integrated into the loom some not but if you do everything logically then you will be fine If not bite the bullet and get someone to do it for you, should only be about £60-£70 to fit a unit if you have all the cables etc, I know its nice to do it yourself but really not worth all the pain sonetimes
  15. Have a look at this thread - http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=19787 It is a great write up and will answer just about any question you have, the OP asks the same question as you in about the 5/6 post
  16. Does the unit fire up? Possibly the remote amp connection... The HU needs to send a signal to the bose amp to wake it up There are some really good wiring guides on here to follow....
  17. Yeah but probably the worst special ever... And a random Coogan/Brydon episode which is ok in a random kind of way... Still its free so can't complain Hopefully better tomorrow
  18. A little remote control helicopter which is now a cat annoyer
  19. Fine line between looking good and still being useable, when I see a lowered Zed I think, looks nice if its not too low but would I want to have to plan my routes avoiding any obstacle More than lowering I think you need a new rear end and then the only question worth asking is.... TT of SC
  20. Love the gear knob but then I have always been a fan of dildos
