  1. Now I love a good conspiracy theory Said something similar back on page 3, there may be some truth in that I reckon.

  5. Crisis? What crisis I think the whole country have filled their car up in the last 3 days so you should be fine this weekend
  6. Been on tapatalk for months Fantastic on an iPhone as I was forever zooming in and out to press buttons on safari They stuffed it up a bit with the last update but sorted it fairly quickly
  7. Zeds are 10 a penny in Surrey & East Sussex
  8. If anything people might use less, think about if they really need to make a trip or not. And yes the Tanker Drivers are making a fair bit in overtime although legally they won't be able to do that many extra shifts / hrs these days.
  9. 20 miles for a whole week! Just walk you lazy fecker save the fuel for us poor souls who really need it
  10. You might get a better response if you put a post in the Introduction part of the forum first
  11. Totally agree although personally I blame the unions for stocking the fire in the first place, and the government for not curbing the panic
  12. Just call me Mystic Dave.... http://m.guardian.co.uk/world/2012/mar/29/stansted-easter-strike-baggage-handlers?cat=world&type=article
  13. I love it It is great to drive, huge amount of torque and properly quick for a diesel, quite noisy as slow speeds though as it is a PD not a CR (newer ones are CR), can sound like a transit van on a cold morning Not hugely economical for a diesel, it averages about 38-40mpg but never less than 35 and I have had well over 50 on a decent long run. The ride is pretty harsh but not bone breaking. Had mine since new and it's on 55k now, I keep looking at replacing it but I can't find anything that the missus or I like better.... maybe a Scirroco but the top spec TDI has not been out long so still a bit pricey....
  14. I take it you are not impressed.... I have to admit I am not one for spending £1,000's on a watch but I draw the line at one that doesn't cost much more than a decent watch battery
  15. Just wanted to give a thumbs up to Seat UK I have had my Leon FR TDI since new (Dec 07) currently on 55k. Because I have moved house and there is no finance on the car etc I haven't had any correspondence from Seat for well over a year but then again had no problems. I went onto a forum that I joined when I got the car, again not been on there for months, I was just looking for a guide to changing the headlight bulbs as an H! had gone and I wanted to change the whole lot for nicer brighter ones than OEM. There was a HUGE thread about the PD 170 engine and injector problems, some owners had initially been charged over £1,000 for replacements for cars out of warranty but now VAG had recognised the problem on all the cars with that particular engine. Although I didn't have a problem with the car I phoned SEAT UK and straight away they acknowledged the issue and passed me onto a guy who was dealing with it. He arranged for me to take the car to my local garage, said that they would have to order in the parts but that wouldn't take long and assured me that it would all be free of charge. He then asked me if I had serviced the car at the right times etc which I explained I had but never at a SEAT garage always an Independant which again he assured me was all perfectly fine. Booked it in last week to be done yesterday and he called me back to say the parts had all been delivered and then called me back again today to ask how it all went. Top service in my book and I am not easily pleased Probably break down on the way to Chris' tonight now
  16. Dependable Good looking (in an ageless sought of way) Comfortable £10k to spend.... I know they say never go back but how about a previous lover that will give you an even better excuse to hang around here
  17. Just filled up at my local Sainsbury quite a big queue but nothing major. There were several old gits filling up ancient jerry cans (probably from the war) so that was what was probably holding it up. I needed to put some in anyway but I admit I did brim it when normally I would just have put £40 in, but it wasn't panic buying I just didn't want to queue up again actually that is panic buying
  18. I'll leave my laptop open later and you can accidentally lean on the button
  19. I liked Camerons comment last night, don't panic but if you get the chance fill your car up.... So basically panic then Next people will be ram raiding chippies for their fat
  20. Not only did you not search but you posted on the other thread Thats got to be worth a surely
  21. Very nice mate Definitely going to be a battle of the bays this year Mine is coming along nicely i.e. I haven't even opened the bonnet for ages
  22. I don't think mileage counts for so much these days the only thing is if i was looking at identical cars the same price i would take the lower mileage but certainly not at much of a premium. 20k miles in 6 years means it has been sat around a lot, hopefully the next owner will enjoy it more
