  1. Glad you got it sorted Ian, you would think that a decent MOT place would know that certain types of cars need to be tested once everything has had time to heat up....
  2. They just add 'feel' to the brakes, before I got them fitted I found the brake a bit vague and spongy really....
  3. Yes but all those things are looked after and will be saleable if / when the car goes... I am not a fan of aftermarket wheels & bodykits but I appreciate those who get the real deal and do things properly
  4. All depends on driving experience, area, profession etc etc... I have only been driving for 4 years
  5. Very true, I am only interested in interior 'pretty bits' ok my sub weighs a tonne but it actually makes the car go faster with the right music Neil you won't regret the brake lines, they really do make a difference I have thought about the braided clutch line too...
  6. You can't really see them unless you take the wheels off, mine are the standard silver I didn't know they did different colours They do make a nice difference to the feel of the brakes
  7. My only 'luxury' is the 1k I spent on my speakers and subs I think you only get in to the territory you are talking about when you go for bodykits with the associated spraying and wheels etc... thats when it starts to get painful in the pocket Most of mine has been consumables - Exhaust was knackered after 72k, although I did buy 2 Cats were corroded, got them welded then saw some 2nd hand Berks Wheels & Calipers were in a sorry state so got powder coated So apart from all the interior stuff most of which I have done myself I guess its the ICE & the upRev / plenum.... The old girl is having a bit of work done next week though
  8. Well, I am fed up with BT, and it's not that I am that far from my local exchange either. I used to get fairly close to the advertised "up to 16 Meg" speed with 14 Meg, but it's the drops that annoy me the most (especially when playing Modern Warfare 3, whilst being on a high killstreak, lol) Now since I have phoned BT and gave them my 30 days notice, I'm down to 9 Meg. April 24th can't come soon enough (which is the actual install date), really looking forward to 60 Meg My mate who has been with them since forever did warn me though. He said if I went over a certain limit during peak hours, Virgin would throttle my speed. I asked to what? "50%" he says. I just said if thats the worst that will happen, thats still three times faster than what I'm getting now anyway, so it's win-win in my book Yes, got TiVo My package was for: - Basic TV services, which included free TiVo box and service - Basic Phone package, which includes Unlimited Weekend calls to landlines and certain numbers - XL Broadband, which is the medium one at 60Meg. 6 months BB at half price, plus went to the Virgin online shop via a link from Top Cash Back and got an additional £62 cashback. I love a good deal Sounds good to me I am in a new build with fibre optic connections only so I am limited to BT, luckily I get well over 100meg totally free as it is still officially a trial
  9. Think this man is in for LOTS of beers at the Wales Meet. (and I don't just mean you Will) Might have to help him out. He certainly has a lot of very satisfied customers
  10. Be interested to see what you think of it, the box looks a lot better than their old one. I don't have much choice where I am, I was told before I moved that I HAD to have BT only which is true for the phone & broadband but I managed to get Sky too
  11. Doesn't the canned laughter get on your nerves though? I never noticed it until I got surround sound, the ex missus had all the series on DVD and if she watched it the canned laughter was right in my ear hole and it was the same few seconds guffawing everytime anybody said anything!!!
  12. Good new Will and yes it will all be worth it in the end
  13. So that you can play iPod or any other media device through the Bose without using an FM transmitter or cassette with a cable type thing. The sound quality is apparently very good too
  14. I wouldn't say that at all, they are expensive but not OTT for road use. When you start getting into BBK stuff then that's overkill IMHO, but a seriously good set of discs and pads in OEM sizes aren't. I was just thinking price wise really, now that a Zed could be worth about £6k spending over £1k just on front disks & pads does seem overkill for me that's all unless, you regularly throw it round a track of course
  15. I think the only American comedy that I have religiously sat through every episode of every series is Curb Your Enthusiasm It's pretty pretty preeeeeeettttttttty good
  16. Have just PMd you Dave but you have already answered my question. Please ignore the PM Damn just sent you a HUGE reply Just a bit more info, 1st MOT was at Abbey 2nd one was at a local place which another member recommended and is 5 minutes from me
  17. A few years back it was all that was on CH4 Thank god for Come Dine With Me, Coach Trip & 4 in a Bed Anyway I think most random thread and rant of the year so far goes to Dblock
  18. Did they let the car run for a while, if it is only just failing then that might get them under the limit.... Had 2 MOT's with mine on and no problems whatsoever
  19. I was going to say exactly the same but then I don't have a Bose and have not done the hack
  20. If only Milltek did an exhaust for the 370z Can't believe you have had so much grief with the Stillen & the Berks, I think I would have sent them both back by now and sourced something else... Strange that the tips are different, I prefer the ones on yours apart from the fact they are not lined up.... I always thought the holes looked bad, like something had fallen off or there were additional bungs like on my BC...
