  1. Dave- to me it does look like a euro box. Just another exec car

In that class look at the new IS F sport- design wise nothing in that sector is anywhere near as radical. The rest look too ordinary, including the XE

As mentioned before the big XJ has a funky design. I thought this would've followed suit. Lyon would expect the cars in this sector to be a bit more daring rather than the grandad/chauffeur sector

In terms of the XF- I love how it looks inside and out. But wasn't overly impressed with the drive. Felt too floaty, didn't feel comfortable pushing it because it didn't feel very sure footed. That was a sport which I presume had better suspension? The XE would have to be a much better drive IMO

Probably most likely the wheels/tyres. You need 20" rims and not the standard Dunslip tyres

I found the ride to still be a little floaty (it is a 2tonne barge) and mine didn't have adaptive suspension which firms up in the corners so I fitted £250 eibach springs, the car looks so much meaner and now handles itself pretty well for a big car, although if I was regularly going to throw it through twisties I would upgrade the brakes, just ask Will/Graham/Darren etc....

When you say you test drove a sport, was it a. XFS or an R-sport as there is a BIG difference, can't say I have ever felt like I can't push my Jaaaag, if anything I have to hold back or I would loose my license very quickly :surrender:

  2. I went up to Gaydon the other day to have a look at the 3.0 S... It is a PROPERLY good looking car to be honest, still not 100% sure on the rear, but the rest of it kind of compensates for the rear. Also, the technology is staggering.. you can preheat your cabin from your phone, and even lock the car from anywhere in the world!? Not sure how that's going to be that useful, but even still - pretty cool!

I wouldn't say the technology is staggering, staggering for a Jag maybe but to be expected in a similar priced German car...

As for the locking by mobile I can't wait for the hacking and insurance hikes

I really wanted the XE to look and feel special as I would be in the market maybe for a 3 door coupe version, but sadly I just don't feel it. The XK, XF & f-type have all looked great to me and made me want one but the XE just doesn't do it. The fact that Jaguar have 'toned down' the look to try and shift a lot of them adds to the feeling really, especially if they do shift and they are everywhere...

  3. Gutted I couldn't make this meet , looked a great turnout with some lovely zeds and people :(

Don't want excuses Josh, we want results! :p

Well I heard you still haven't got your body kit on yet so thought what's the point in coming ;)

Will be at the next one 100%

Need to do one round the new forest somewhere ......

To be fair Steve has just moved and also bought a PS4

  4. Yep, there is absolutely no difference between a P2 and a P3 for the 350 and never has been - we've all had our pants pulled down by Nissan on that one over the years. I've been going on about it for years as well
    m

Not just dealers certain Independants do the same, very shabby...

  5. It's nothing extraordinary but it's a decent enough looking car. My criticism would be they dwelled too much on it bring a baby xf and it's turned out too similar to it. In the same way the x type was the first baby jag and that was a shrunken xj

When I first saw the new xj a few years back I was surprised at how much they had changed the design compared to the ones previously. Even now there's still nothing like it from anyone else in that sector

Was hoping this xe would be a bit more radical being in the smaller/younger market but it's a bit tame

I heard the drive will be amazing though

If it drives as well/better than an XF then that will be its saving grace, but agree about the looks, will people want a Euro box with a Jag badge

  6. There's lots of little things to like. Icons on patrols, taking items out of the vault no longer show as upgradable. Definitely a boost to the graphics detail. Chat available to fire teams. Now if only they would fix the bugs that kick you from the game

Yeah lots of little bits and bobs :)

  7. Just done the weekly heroic that was tough!

    On nightfall?

Fun arn't they. Good to see they are removing the cheesy cheats too, like hiding under the the balcony on the priest fight

Yeah the b*stards! I ran over to hide then couldn't get under and got promptly handed my ar$e on a plate :(

Yeah did the nightfall weekly one with a German guy and and American girl, the team chat option is good now much more social, I can see Destiny Dating becoming popular.... kill a Minotaur then straight in with some chat up lines 😜

  8. I guess it depends on how you feel about remakes, and how much you enjoyed GTAV the first time around.

Certainly I feel it's the best game of the last generation, and experiencing it in a different way has brought new life into it.

Oh I am enjoying it but the graphics are nothing special, the novelty of the 1st person view soon passes and you realise it is how pretty much 99% of games are made

Gameplay wise it is GTA you either love it or hate it, I personally love picking up a hooker then beating her up to get my money back but I can see that it wouldn't be for everyone

  9. Hope the update is worthwhile, beginning to drag now. I don't have the time or inclination to do the VoG, seems like they have replaced a decent story element with just reduce loudly hard strikes (weekly heroic) or multiplayer events that are just stupidly long (VoG)

Still love doing a daily strike and catching up with mates like Straun & Steve for a blast though :)

  10. Aiming for 60fps won't be the issue, it'll be the graphics settings. There's loads in there: Environment/Shadow/Texture quality, occlusion, AA, bloom etc. Try turning those down, even on the lowest settings it should still look pretty. :)

Wow I never thought of any of that :p

Runs like a dog unfortunately which I will put down to software as I tried out CoD AW last week and it ran pretty well
