Yes although I would strip the RCA wires now using Busters technique

Both Pioneer or JVC will be a substantial atep up from OEM, just go for the one that ticks the right boxes. If it makes the slightest difference, most Pioneers require boosting with the standard Bose setup, JVCs normally have built in boosters but check that out it's just from my personal experience as I had a Pioneer f900bt that needed boosting and then a JVC 8400 that didn't
