My Zed has been sat outside my window (relegated from the garage) all week and is getting picked up Sunday.... I haven't had the urge to have a blast, nothing to do with it only having a stock exhaust I actually don't mind the sound.... just don't feel it anymore.... No doubt like an ex-lover I will at some point have the urge to remember what it's like to slip inside again So I guess the time is right, a few of my fellow Zedders at the Shed asked if I will miss her and I was a bit Meh.... To be absolutely honest it was starting to be too much of an effort to drive unfortunately So no tears Sunday just a big smile that it's going to such a good new home

Well basically a DPF works by trapping soot and burning it off, if it gets too full you get a warning light usually and a lumpy drive while the exhaust is heated up to help burn up the soot ( it usually helps to rev the nuts off the car ) if you do not do this the DPF can become fubar and be costly to replace circa £1k most cars. When a DFP is deleted or bypassed you get better flow so increased performance and usually economy too, but the ecu must be fooled into thinking you still have a DPF and all is well, if not it will run the regen process which with no DPF in place can cause fires or similar This was in the early days and I'm sure it's safe as houses these days but I would advise caution that's all mate

4 miles is not enough Rich, the exhaust needs time to warm up and burn off all the excess soot... Not saying you WOULD have DPF problems but you would certainly be more likely to... As DBlock says if your doing short journey then go petrol. Mine is only just borderline as it's 11 miles each way but as I finish at 4am most morning I manage to warm up the exhaust nicely on the way home

You can use Safari until they update the app? Yeah a few apps have not worked for me me, some not at all (eBay, kik) and some partly (Lloyds TSB) but on the whole its very nice.... A little spare on actual 'new' features but as usual Apple making a big song and dance about minor stuff so to be expected..... It changes just enough without changing too much if that makes sense

Thanks Just to be pedantic..... there are actually no 'facts' there just someones opinion 1 persons opinion is another persons 'made up rubbish' surely No doubt but if its an opinion with no basis e.g. lets say I say your Jag is rubbish. You say have you driven it? I say no. Then its made up rubbish. Lets now say you ask me the same question and I say yes I drove it but didn't like xyz and prefer abc then I have a valid opinion with basis. Another example lets say I say your car is slow because its a diesel. It's rubbish with no basis. There is a right and a wrong in that sense. If someone says i prefer the 370 because of the way it is and makes me feel etc then that is opinion. I wasn't having a dig at will even though he seems to think I was all I said was he is off the mark. He made some statements which have no basis e.g. the 370 has way more power. Hardly 20bhp more but it weighs 200kg more and the 987 is faster in a straight line and a track although that counts for little. Thats why I said off the mark, didnt say wrong I just thought he was a little wrong .Then look at badgeronous's post. He just said well I prefer it to the 987 for these reasons. Thats cool as its his opinion on a car based on somethinhg. His was an informative insightful post. I don't see why anyone is getting defensive I never said the 370 was bad? I like all cars as I like to think I'm a petrol head. Just because I drive a nissan doesnt mean I HAVE to love all its cars and everything about them. There are plenty of other nice cars out there. Yeah like I said just being pedantic I have driven 2 different 370's and although lovely to drive I didn't consider upgrading to one at all... In fact your right you dont think Mods - Why do you allow people to put such stupid irrelevant comments on your site , clearly not useful to anyone Because it is a PUBLIC forum, and Ken wasnt rude unlike your last post.... Yeah I was saying to Darren who bought my Leon FR that I only saw the DPF light maybe 3 times in 70k.... It's people that think driving a diesel a couple of miles to the shops is economical that have problems
