I like the colour change but everything else I really don't like, particularly the lights and the wheels but fair play for being different....

Controversially, if I was buying another one I wouldnt be looking to spend any more than 5K - mileage isnt a concern as the engines are pretty understressed, Id replace suspension on anything I bought and they dont seem to rust much either.
I know the HR's have more power (but less torque
) and better interiors, but Id rather save the money. Im probably not your average owner though
Sounds spot on to me, no point paying top $ unless you want a car to show and not go,. The HR interior isn't that much of an upgrade to warrant the extra, or like you say the HR engine which is not a massive improvement either.
If driving is your thing then you can have 99.9% of the fun in a cheap ass, old high miler Zed than a mint low mileage newer one...

5k hmmm........... it really depends on how lucky you are
^^^^ Exactly this.
Someone may be desperate to sell, needs the money, moving abroad etc
Just go in with your eyes wide open and go through the car with a fine tooth comb
This is the sort of fine tooth comb you need for a £5k Zed
No way you could expect it to be perfect in all respects but at the end of the day it is how a Zed drives that REALLY matters not so much how it looks, so as long as the engine pulls hard, cornering is sharp and the clutch is not too heavy then it will make a fantastic weekend toy
-
No need for a desperate seller, plenty around the £5k mark on autotrader
Just have a look at the buying guides on here for what to look out for, obviously a bigger risk the higher the mileage

That. Looks. Awesome!
But i wont be playing it as im pretty sure it would ruin my social life lol
I can't use that excuse - I don't have a social life - I don't really have a life according to my daughters - as in "O Get a life dad"
Maybe I'll play it and see if it helps
You might be able to interact with other sad old Dads online though

Had similar with an old Mazda that was a Bose (not really) system
You could take the unit out and have a look at it, probably a tiny spring somewhere has decided enough is enough and Barry Manilows Greatest Hits is not coming out again

similarly to this thread, I've always been really puzzled about it and found it strange but never been in a place to ask the question:
Why do so many people love American culture so much?
e.g: Fried chicken shops everywhere. Every shopping area has all the big names, Starbucks, Burger King, Mcdonalds etc.
A huge number and variety of ads on tv for no apparent reason feature American accents.
I'm fairly well travelled and haven't noticed this in any other country and coming from Australia where it's the opposite attitude, Starbucks failed there and running a tv ad in the accent would put you out of business fast.
Scandinavian countries are far more Americanised than the UK, as for fried chicken, McDs & BK, I don't think the UK has the monopoly on those either they are in pretty much every country across the globe

Very nice, just need to black out the fangs and lower grille, blackout the diffuser at the back, powder coat the wheels black, paint the calipers red, new exhaust of course (with HFCs)
That will do for starters anyway

Would of had to have been an emergency stop! I was half way down the length of the lorry when she thought 'I can make it'
Either that or play chicken...

Any time there's a situation like that I just stop the car to avoid exactly what happened.
At least they can be repaired bud
Easy to say but in that split second the risk of a scuffed wheel seems better than a full on ding and the brain takes over....

I hope you haven’t just compared the drivetrain of something as good as the Tesla to a diesel (Trust me I wouldn’t have swapped my 335i for something that has 0.001% hint of been like our old diesel Civic)...The main reason I love the 109 bhp Leaf, it's more 'fun' to drive than my old 380bhp ICE 335i....
I just don't get how....How is it more fun?
Indeed, either thats a bit of a stretch or your 335i was a lot worse to drive than my 135i is
All depends on what an individuals definition of fun is
Maybe the ops use of the word fun is not quite right, a car to me is about how it makes you feel rather than performance. The op seems to have totally bought into the concept, probably way more than most would, I am genuinely happy for him and the info on this thread has been really good

I've recently had this for a week
This is Nissans electric van option. I've got to say it's a great piece of kit especially when it's used for local deliveries. I was a bit sceptical at first about the performance but the range and the costs seemed to add up well so I thought I'd give it a try.
What a great vehicle tho.... The Instant torque on it was unbelievable and getting up to 70 was well under 10seconds. And for the week I had it, I only had to plug it in twice.
Honestly guys if you've never tried one go book a little test drive just for a bit of fun.
But unfortunately I didn't buy it for two main reasons.
1: It just wasn't big enough for me
2: Everytime a version with a bigger range is introduced it renders the previous version worthless.
Oh and the salesman said that it was quicker than a 370 lol.... He looked a bit sheepish when he saw my 350
May be quicker to 10mph than a 370z
