  1. Derogatory statements hiding behind the opinion banner are just Inflammatory though and see no need for them :)

Absolutely! But define derogatory? Comparing a modified car with a standard one and preferring the modified one? That seems to be all that has happened here  I think the real issue is that some that own the 'elite' Zed just can't take a bad word said about it objective or not.

I would say the only derogatory stuff on this thread was the personal stuff that has been deleted, if that has upset anyone then that is their issue :)

In summary of Green GUNS, seems almost everyone likes the wrap, I think most would agree a bright colour suits a bodykit. Wheels seem to be the most discussed and universally disliked in terms of colour & stretch, different isn't always fantastic but at least it's different I guess

All in all a fantastic car to show off at ZedFest or a meet but not something I would want to drive particularly...

  2.

The editing of the posts on this thread, do show a distinct bias toward a non Zed owning contributor, which is fine as he is obviously well thought of and makes valuable comment (that's not true obviously ). So it would seem that the 'digger' has more right than the 'digged'.

  3. Lol

My build thread is like a pub brawl at the minute

We all luv z's lets leave it at that lol

But if people actually read the build thread at the start youl all see its not just a bodykit.. I done the engine work before hand but people like to just jump on the band wagon

Just a few members who don't like the fact you car looks better than their 370s ;)

  4. Colour and body kit are spot on, the wheels and tyre stretch is woeful. The standard Mk1 Nismo is 14mm lower than a stock 370, I ran eibach pro's on my last 370 (35mm drop) so concur on getting it lowered.

Wonderful job overall, glad you haven't put Nismo badges everywhere, the clean look suits , plus it's not a Nismo :)

Looks better than a Jag

    ;)

Looks better than mine but pales into insignificance next to an f-type....
  5. Just to mention for me the light fly is the best mod I've done so far and it would be the first thing I did if I ever bought another Z, makes the car much nicer to drive. (in my opinion).

Definitely, you really notice the difference pulling away, seems to pick up a fair bit quicker :drive1

  6. Can't you leave the switches in situe and just swop the feeds around.

Tunnel comes off easy enough, 2 screws at the back, 2 at the front and a hidden one in the coin holder from memory... I think the centre dash has to come off first though, and obviously the gear surround... handbrake just pull up as far vertical as you can, then unclip the switches at you go

+1. I removed my tunnel last month to swap round the heated seat switches. Exactly as above and yes there is a screw hidden underneath the ashtray/coin holder.

Nice to see my memory hasn't gone.... yet :wheelchair:

  8. Hey all

I am asking Ross to come back on here and confirm asap if we have a larger stand

and also the price for SMD and Jag in car park - but if he can come with someone here that saves that :)

    Amy

Thanks Amy, all depends if I am coming on my own or not, if it is just me then I will most likely see if I can get a lift

  10. If i decide to sell the car, are people usually willing to pay a bit more when the clutch and fly is quite new?

How much noisier is a light flywheel tried looking for some examples online cant find any videos... i want some kind of idea how it will sound :p

not sure someone would pay more for the car but if you have receipts for a new clutch & fly then your Zed would be preferred to one that hasn't I guess...
  11. Since getting wheels and sorting the suspension out on the Z, all the little marks, dings and stone chips etc are really starting to get on my nerves. The front bumper is quite badly stone chipped and has had some touch up paint on the sides and while nobody else notices it, it's bothering my 350Z OCD

I was curious to know what it would cost to get all niggles sorted and took it to a bodyshop, the bloke looked at me as if i was stupid, looked around the car and said something along the lines of "this cars meant to be driven and you'll be wasting your money by doing this" he wouldn't even give me a price!!!

So this guy obviously knows nothing about being a petrol head and his salesman skills are questionable but I'm still no further forward as to what this may cost! What should I expect to pay for a front bumper respray and to have a few dings and scratches removed?

So am I not a petrolhead then as I'm more intrested in driving than cleaning my car ?

Stop nit picking and looking for a reaction stevo!! :p

Thats obviously not what i was saying

im not im just a little offended

  12. Yep they can just can't be on the 'Official Drive' so to speak. Have even done a trophy for the 'Most Wanted Car' at the Show & Shine which is basically if you didn't have your car which one would you want from the ones on show and that's open to any forum member attending in a Zed or not :#1:

Technically ANY car can be on the 'official' drive seeing as it is on a public road that is not closed to the public :headhurt:

  13. i was really enjoying this thread right up until you wrapped it and put awful wheels on.

Maybe you should get off the thread then and put your attention in to your own car.

Public forum, he didn't say anything rude just that he doesn't like th wrap or the wheels, if you are going to put a thread like this up then you have to tak the positive and negative, as long as it is constructive and polite :)

I personally think you have ruined the looks and most probably the handling and ride of a fantastic car, there you go call me a troll or a hater whatever, it's a free place to comment whatever we I choose...

  14. No ones disputing they're not the future.

I for one am just saying they're aren't for everyone, especially petrol heads.

Of course they are if you commute in one during the week and to the shops with the family, then spend the cash you saved on your weekend toy ;)
