Yeah very strange, 99.9% of people seem to be of the same opinion, lowered as far as you can get away with and wheels right out a low touching the arches is great, if a little impractical in this country. Excessive camber and wheels sticking way out of the arches is just silly. Must say using the word retarded is not really right and maybe that is what upset Steve? Sometimes offensive words like that can just hit a nerve.

Can't disagree with any of that, just annoys me slightly that people that have never driven a decent modern derv with a decent gearbox seem to have such a good idea of how they drive

I just drive 70+ miles and nothing passed my tractor I find my big barge around the same economy wise as the Zed in town, probably all the stop/start moving such a heavy car but on a decent run it motors past 40mpg effortlessly at similar speeds I used to do in the Zed and get 26/27mpg which is nice I got mine as I needed an auto and fancied a change not because I thought it was better than what I had, but believe me it feels just as 'special' to drive but for different reasons Sent from the golf club...

I disagree and so do many others on here ... IMO the slow sales of the 370 are partly down to the aesthetics of the newer model ... those ugly fangs at the front ... the lardarse of the roadster ... the over designed shape of the lights both front and rear ... + lots, not terrible but certainly not as nice as a 350, and from experience not as engaging to drive imo Sent from the golf club...

Like a lot of things it just gets taken to the extreme, I haven't seen any 'retarded' Zed's at any meets or on here in pics, most members on here like to drive their cars not trailer them to a show I don't care how much bits for a car cost TBH, I am far more impressed with something that has been done with love than something that has just been sent to a shop and someone been told to make it look good... That's why Buster won best Zed at Wales 2013, all pretty much his own work and yeah if you looked close not as perfect a job as some but I liked it and so did most others Sent from the golf club...

I don't mean good noise, I meant road/wind noise Sent from the golf club...

 Somebody stop this guy, he's killing me  I know thats why I can't help posting on this thread The ragtop 370 is 1,000,000 times better looking that the 350 with the hood up, hood down I would still prefer the 350... Have to say after being a passenger in 2 370's in Wales they are a lot noisier inside than the 350 too Sent from the golf club...

Never said it was my fun car, it is my everyday driver, munches up the motoway miles in luxury but can keep up on a fun drive if I want Depends what 'enjoyment' is, different for everyone really Sent from the golf club...

Oh yeah has to be a decent auto box, I have best of both with paddles If I drive mine in D mode, slow down for a roundabout then see a gap there is terrible lag, almost dangerous because you miss your chance then launch in to traffic so I mostly drive in S mode which changes the gearbox settings from waft mode and gives you (almost) petrol like instant power Sent from the golf club... Yeah the 1series in sport mode is pretty lively. Eco mode is terrible But then I drove a Renault Captur hire car which was noisy like a tractor and unresponsive, went to fill it up and realised it was petrol :o Sent from the golf club...

All 'in your opinion' In 'my opinion' 370z is FAR more engaging than a 350z 370z looks much BETTER than a 350z On top of that it has almost the same power My point is not that a 370z is crap, it isn't, just telling the OP to but a completely different car and pocket £10k is nonsense as she 'wants' that car. Sent from the golf club... Ruined that for you Dave Oh dear this is really going to upset the 'quotes within quotes' brigade..... ooops Sent from the golf club... nah - they'll be fine about it - there's no pictures in it Sent from the golf club...

Yeah it is only a visible inspection so you just clear them out and adjust the ECU to ignore any sensors. Just means that technically the car is not MOT'd therefore not insured... same as decats I guess really Sent from the golf club... it pretty much does the same job. Really chokes a diesel up and when mine does a regen the mpg is awful Luckily I drive it like I stole it so there is usually plenty of heat in the exhaust Sent from the golf club...

For the poor at googling.... DPF - Diesel Particulate Filter EGR - Exhaust Gas Recirculation As someone said earlier a DPF can be a nightmare if it doesn't heat up, but if you bought a diesel and only do short trips then you got the wrong car anyway Sent from the golf club...

Listen to this A5 TDI, this is potentially the next car I will be buying to replace the missus car. One of the lads up here has one with a similar set up and its sounds amazing and goes like a rocket. Yeah removing the DPF although illegal now really improves the sound, same with EGR which I bet that A5 has had removed too. Really improves performance too derestricted... Sent from the golf club...

A few of the guys on here will assure you that they are not. I had a run in with a 535d and it never stood a chance. Witnessed by a few on here lol. My 118d feels more powerful than the zed down to the torque delivery, its not though. All turbo cars give this feeling. Very true Neil, although depends what you view as 'quick' 0-60 Track 1/4 mile 50-80 normal everyday driving Etc etc At the end of the day if it 'feels' quicker then essentially it is The Zed never really 'felt' quick to me, even though it quite obviously was..... Sent from the golf club... Its all about the but dyno I agree with you, some zeds don't feel fast Haha yeah yeah Sent from the golf club...
