  1. Oh dear! just shows they'll let anyone work there now. Reminds me of when i went to test drive a seat ibiza a couple of years ago and the sales man didn't know how to open the doors.....
  2. Tokyo drift was on t.v last night
  3. Did our apprenticeship/training together years ago, now and again get down to see him so will have to give you a shout when i'm down next
  4. I'll agree with G man on the milau bridge went to that 2 years ago and it really is fantastic. I went to the Eagles nest last year, and being well into my WW2 stuff i found the eagles nest a bit of a let down. We went to the restaurant at the botom and that was very nice, i could eat currywerst and fries forever, soooo nice! I'd also google some of the amazing castles that are in south germany and austria.. they have actual fairytale castles. most of which where build just to show off!
  5. i worked it out and if i got a £600 shed, £100 tax, £50 MOT £100 service. it'd take 8 months for the inital cost to be paid off after that it'd be clear profit. I currently use my Zed all the time, around 400 miles a week, to and from work is b roads, but i usualy drive them sensibly and some motorway miles to see the GF means i get around 28mpg. I know that if i had a shed i'd lash the crap out of it so it actualy moves, and then on a weekend i'd rag the zed more. I love driving the zed sensibly and going for spirited drives now and then, i think if you drive it sensibly during the week, when you do give it a blast it makes you appreciate the car even more. plus, i dont think my parents would appreciate have another car on the drive I've recently looked at swapping the zed for a derv. audi A3 or something, looking to streight swap it. after you've paid the extra 1-2k to get something thats even close to the zed in quality and looks, plus the £500 for a remap so it's actualy quick-ish, you've got a few years petrol right there! Thats my 2p anyway. suppose if i did anymore miles i would swap it though. or if i couldnt afford to run it
  6. done road trips the last 2 years around the switzlerand france and germany area. If you fancey a couple of hours to chill in the sun and enjoy some galsier water to swim in i recomend this place, not to far off your route and has a nice roman bridge you can jump off, should give you a bit of a thrille. not as much as a bul run though http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&sourc ... d&t=h&z=16 Edit, if you like bungee jumps check out the verzasca dam jump, some 250 metres high i believe, roughly £150 to jump off it though. this is one of my friends doing it As said above, get yourself on some of the passes in switzerland, they're amazing drives.
  7. Any really ............. ecu remaps itself .......... I ran for 7 years on 95 Ron with no problems ..... some will say you get better mileage on Shell :O this is the first i've heard of this, i thought it was shunned apon not to put the expensive stuff in
  8. +5 i tend to go between admiral bell and elephant to get my insurance down, all the same company so can cut each other quite easily
  9. As well as some Awefull CGI haha! I do love tokyo drift though, i could cycle between that and Initial D all day can't beat a good drift film. the Zed doesn't look like it has a huge part in this film though....
  10. Spot on rich i'm glad it's bnot jsut me that thinks the convertable zeds look like ford ka's
  11. Looks good! good choice on interior to p.s Hoyle said you need a haircut!
  12. I bought my car off this dealer.they do give you the same shite all the time i was 22 when i got mine and they didn't even give me a second look when i went in there but i do look about 18 so i'm used to that They gave my the same @*!# about the previous owner i decided to bypass there sales reps who for the main part where complete d*&ks and just dealt with the manager who was an alright bloke, for a big dealership. got them down a little on price and up on my old mr2 part ex so by the time i'd finished i didn't do to bad, they give you a 3 month warentee and after that i just dealt with a different nissan branch (darlington) as it's closer and they're better people. They will let you drive the car but you might have to arrange for a time for it to be done, which is a ball ache tbh. I think they struggle to shift zeds there, they had mine in a few months which got the price down a good chunk imagine people around teh area could struggle with costs and a most likley put off by sales reps. Just tell the rep you know what the crack is stop the bullshit etc and they can budge on price lol i wouldnt deal with them in any other way except for buying and even then they can be rubbish. But if the cars good and you can get a good price, why not. Oh also when i talked to the manager he said he usual nocks a few k off a car just to sell it, but again thats probs just manager bullsh*t
  13. Cheers rich, interest figures there. Do you fill the sk2 with V-power etc? or just the bog standard stuff?
  14. usualy get about 28mpg. filled up last week and got 350 miles from the tank i believe. Thats about £75 worth of sainsbury's ultimate petrol
  15. i cant speak for other buyers, but i like big engines and perofrmance, so in order to still have that i now only look at cars pre 2006 for the lower tax. or the new car has to have emissions that put it in the 245 a year bracket. i like my cars but i'll only line the government coffers so much. its part of what put me off the zed ownership. and with all the other costs and people haveing generally less in their pockets than normal it will have an effect. on the zed the power difference between a HR and a pre 06 is almost impossible to notice in general performance. put them both on a track and they'll cross the line at almost the same time, think there would be no more that about 1/2 a car length in it if that. if there were 2 identical zeds but one was prefacelift, i'd get that one. and if you take into account the drivers are getting younger on here all the time, there insurance isn't cheap and some do it on a very fine budget. the extra 500 can mean alot. i looed at the mk5 golf r32 and the 55 plate and pre o6 ones are like hens teeth, very few come up that have the DSG box. Rich, out of curiosity is the sk2 much cheaper to run than the zed? I was looking at them the other week and still have a big soft spot for them, plus the miles i do they could be nicer on the wallet fuel wise?
  16. I've always wanted one of them, keep us update with a step by step
  17. I've got them on mine. I know it s taboo to mix tyres but these where on the car when i got them and it's doing pretty well so far. I have the MA Z1 Vectra's on the, the traction is quite good in the dry tbh, although traction control does kick in quite a bit still if you try and boot it to much around corners. Also got the P1's on the front, in teh dry they grip alright, you get a lot of tyres squeel though and some understeer when your propper booting it but it's not lost it yet. I'm still alive!
  18. I'm a good friend of dene's and went to pick it up when he bought it, it's not skipped a beat while he had it mate, looked after it like it was his own child, as lee said loved it to bits. Gutted i found this thread now hope you get it sorted soon fella!

  21. That looks awesome mate, noticed in the second pic there seems to be some red in the wings, guessing that is just from getting it done but i think you should get some colour into it, the red looks amazing imo.
